If staying at this place, you should definitely go there to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and to have a look at the birds: white doves, peacocks and a number of fancy chicken like Jätti-Kochin with lots of feathers around their feet and up their legs like dressed in baroque style, Paduan with funky head feathers or Silkkikana with such fluffy white feathers they surely must feel like silk. If you like light and creamy ice-cream go to Minetti Jäätelö and choose from more than 10 flavours (2,80 € one scoop - but the usual size of a tennis ball). There are also some really charming statues and on a sunny Sunday lots of Finns sell second-hand clothes and other stuff - a cool flea market in the park. Best of all: there are no drunks and no strange people, Lake Sorsa is like a heart right at the centre and if you like seagulls as much as I do, you will be so happy to have found this gem of a tranquil park.
