Pastor Dave Love has an infinite understanding and base of knowledge about God's Word and he doesn't preach "opinion" but instead the truth of the Bible. Dave's wife Mindi also has incredible knowledge of God's Word and leads the Women's Bible Study with excellence! Love everything about this church!

Worship was contemporary but didn't feel as conservative as I thought it would be since some people were raising their hands. I tried their young adult ministry and although there were people who were welcoming and introduced me to others, I felt that young adults could've been more welcoming and it felt kind of cliquey. And when I tried to go up to some people to talk to them, they felt weird and I took it personally. I understand that people aren't going to be best friends with everyone, especially with it being a large group and that sometimes you don't get to see your friends all of the time and want to catch up, but there should be an awareness and openness with making sure people feel welcomed and getting new people connected. I also think it's better to have a separate ministry for college and post college because it's a different stage of life and maturity level. But it's a church worth checking out and I'm glad they know what they stand for.

Five of us (four adults and one toddler) attended the 9:30am service. We knew we were in trouble when half a mile from the church we were in slowly moving traffic. Luckily our son was just dropping the rest of us off and heading back home while we attended Mass. The parking lot was filled with plenty of men directing traffic. People seemed to be receptive to the direction and friendly. Walking up to the church we enjoyed the beautiful flowers and statues. Walking into the church we determined we had better find a seat quickly, which we did. Chairs were set up in the foyer and that is where we sat with about 50 other people. We never entered the sanctuary. We heard the priest's homily and readings from our seats and when it was time for communion, the eucharistic ministers came into the foyer. After Mass we exited, offered a bulletin, and walked down the street to meet our son to head home for brunch. The next time we are in Castle Rock (which is once a month) maybe we can actually enter the sanctuary and see what St. Francis parishioners see each week.

I moved here from out of state, and my family has been looking for a new church for a while. We…read moretried about 6 of them before trying this one. I have to say, this one was one of the most welcoming and organized churches around. That is very important to me, specifically regarding the safety of my children. I felt they had a great process for child check in, pick up, and they even had parking assistants to help you find a spot in the parking lot! The music was great, very practiced and the Sermon was delivered is a very understandable way. It was easy to relate what was being said, to my personal life and situation. This is exactly what I want. I don't like being lectured to, or spoken down to as if "they've made it to the top, and I'm still struggling on my path." I enjoy sermons where the Pastor relates our day to day problems and struggles with the scriptures. It feels real, it feels authentic. It doesn't feel "judgmental" so you look forward to coming back and hearing more!

I absolutely do not recommend this church…read more We attended Journey from 2019 to 2022. During that time, I went through a deeply painful period in my life--my ex-husband was cheating on me, but continually gaslit me, telling me I was crazy and needed medication. We went to counseling with Russ, who sided with him. Russ insisted my ex probably wasn't cheating and that I should seek therapy and get on meds. Eventually, the truth came out--he was cheating--and the church offered zero support. No accountability, no care, nothing. My mom, Debra Finnegan, also worked for the church for a while. In 2022, she lost both of her parents--and again, no flowers, no cards, no calls. No acknowledgment at all. And this week--on Thursday morning--my 28-year-old sister passed away unexpectedly. I reached out to Scotty, Russ, and Cory. Scotty read my message and didn't respond. My mom emailed Travis, who replied saying someone would reach out. It's now been nearly a week, and still no response from anyone. We lost a sister, a mom, and a daughter. I'm deeply hurt, disappointed, and disgusted by the coldness and indifference shown by this church. It's clear that care, compassion, and support are not values they live out--not unless you're a favorite or fit their mold.
