Dreadful solicitors! When i chose to use Equitas Solicitors I did not anticipate that it would take a year and a half for me to receive my compensation, In addition to this I was the one doing all the chasing, regularly having contact them for updates on the case and being passed around the office every time. They take 25% of the money you recieve plus a so called after the event insurance (ATE insurance) which was a hidden fee! it wasn't mentioned when i previously asked them how much they take in total. The solicitor who worked on my case wouldn't speak to me afterwards claiming that the case was closed so I'm currently seeking advice and plan to go through the Legal Ombudsmen. Please avoid these solicitors at all costs for your own sake, i wouldn't want someone else going through the same experience. read more
