What Jess brings to the table is something more, which was a genuine concern for my child. On one of our conversatios she said " I went on this run and I was thinking about"... she was thinking about my kid and how to help. She made me feel like we ( we because as parents, things that affect our kids affect us) were "seen." I think more often than not people get complacent in their careers, including the medical or mental health field, which I would chalk up to human nature. However, she never made me feel like my kid was number or just another patient. She was someone going through something and Jess was going to figure it out. We had to stop seeing Jess due to some circumstances out of my control. Which only lead us to a merry go round of therapists and it wasn't until then, that I was able to fully appreciate her, not only for her emotional investment in my child but also for her instincts, which were proven to be spot on. While on that mental health merry go round, I learned that not every therapist has the capability to convey a genuine sense of commitment and concern for their client/patient , however Jess did. Taking on someone else's emotional pain, trauma, anxieties and fears has to be one of the hardest jobs I could imagine, especially when it comes to children...so I can understand having and internal shut off valve and not fault anyone needing to enact that protective mechanism. But as a parent who's child hurts....I sure as shit want someone who sees my kid, as I see them. Once again I saw Jess early in her career. Not only do I magine that she has gotten better with time but I imagine now that she has her own practice, she chooses people who values their clients as much as she does. ...I did recently refer someone here and they had positive reviews about Jess, Teena and the facility.

The therapists and care givers at this facility placed a 6 year old, autistic, non-combative child…read morein a CONFINEMENT room when he had a panic attack. The situation was so traumatic for him that he doesn't even want to speak about it with his family or therapists. His mom and family were also traumatized as she could hear him begging for his mom when she ran in the door. This child is verbal and not aggressive as he tends to isolate himself when he is upset. The providers here handled a child's crisis in the worst way possible. Children deserve better- especially children who need help and care and expect to get it at a center made to help them.

We had the initial intake in mid September 2017, started ABA by late November 2017. We have been here about 11 months, and the changes in our kid's behavior have changed so drastically for the better! It is important to note that many of the therapist here have been around for a while. The turnover is quite low- therapist usually only leaving because their studies are complete and are moving back home or to a bigger city for employment. The receptionist is very lovely and a very welcoming face for CARD. When schedule changes are needed on our end, the office manger almost always helps us find a solution. Keeping the line of communication open here is VERY helpful. Couldn't be happier with the progress the kiddo has made. Have also made some (hopefully life long) adult friends here.

I have been a beneficiary of HOPE Group's services for many years. I have received habilitation…read moreservices since I was in high school. I learned how to cook, budget my money and clean. I can say HOPE Group is truly amazing right now. I am currently receiving habilitation and vocational rehabilitation services through HOPE Group. I am on the path to achieving more independence through these services. At work, I work with my HOPE coach to understand how to do my job well. We have frequent conversations on the phone about how to handle certain situations at work or even to just share joyful updates. I wouldn't be where I am today at work without the support of my HOPE Coach and I will apply the systems she taught me as I continue to do my job independently. In my personal life, my habilitation provider Ali and I work on goals like cooking and walking across the street. We also talk about life and work. She even met my parents a few weeks ago. They loved meeting her at First Place. I am forever thankful for the Cairns family for starting HOPE Group many years ago! GO HOPE GROUP!!!!!!!

When we ALL have gotten are night sleeping meds. So of course they wake us up..and coming in Yelling like if a SWAT rushed in. More than half of us already have trauma. So, that doesn't help us out. Been here for a week already and I STILL haven't learned anything NEW YET. Some staff are very rude and seems that they don't care about our needs. Chef Dan and Nicki stopped providing us lunch. Instead of taking our stress away it's like they're adding on to our stress. It's beyond crazy it's really unbelievable how they run things here. And only have two therapists and I definitely do not like how they have PHP living with residential. I started looking for a new place to go cuz of all this.

Receptionist are very nice, our experience with 2 of 3 of the case managers are exceptional (1 other one not so much, not awful but not as good as the other 2). Just so its clear taxi service is bad through Veyo, but that is out of the control of Touchstone. I would HIGHLY recommend moving your kiddos as soon as you can if your with JFCS.

With that said I have only positive things to say about my experience with her. I've worked with Robin for several months regarding general mental health relating to physical medical issues and related trauma which I've been trying to work through. I found her to be professional, kind / empathetic, highly intelligent, intuitive, and supportive. I have no issue recommending her to friends / family, which is something I can't say about most providers I have worked with in the past; take that for what it's worth.
