Decent Thai food! I stopped in for lunch and I was the only patron in the restaurant. Please note that I arrived late (after 2PM) and I missed the lunch hour rush. I thought that the restaurant's interior was beautifully decorated, clean and inviting. They have an enormous display of teas below the television that adds a very unique touch. Upon my arrival, I was quickly seated with a menu and decided to try the Tom Yum Noodle soup - Lunch Special. It was served with a small portion of vegetable soup and 1 spring roll. The food was good, but I thought that the soup broth was lacking in flavor. Luckily, they provided me with some hot sauce to spice it up. After my soup arrived, my server never came back to check on me (even though I was the only one there). I waited awhile for my check. Another server noticed me and he asked her (my original server) to print my check. The lack of attentiveness was disappointing. We were searching for a place to eat prior to seeing a play, and are so glad we chose this Thai restaurant. The restaurant was clean, and the booths were comfortable. The food was delicious; we ordered the pad Thai (one of the best we've had), massaman and yellow curries, & sweet and sour pork. Each dish was super flavorful. We also were impressed with the largest variety of teas I've seen (other than a dedicated tea shop)- we ordered the Pick-me-up, and it was indeed uplifting and complimented the meal well. I stopped here for dinner on a road trip I was on with some friends. We were excited to have some good Thai food, instead of stopping by a fast food place. The staff was very friendly and it didn't take long at all to get us seated, which we were extremely happy about. We order a few items to share--pork potstickers, shrimp pad thai, and massaman curry. The pork potstickers and the sauce that came with them were PERFECT. The shrimp pad thai was just like any other pad thai, not bad by any means but not the best pad thai I've had. Lastly, the massaman curry was not very good at all. I love massaman and was extremely excited to try it, but I was pretty disappointed that it was watery and had barely any flavor. We searched for Thai on Yelp, and found this place! What a gem! I ordered the hot Tom Yum soup and my husband ordered the green curry with brown rice. My husband thought the curry would be over rice, but it was separate. I thought my soup would have noodles, but it didn't. Either way, the soup was amazing and the curry was too! The service was amazing, even though it was packed. We also ordered fried dumplings with chicken. It came with this amazing sauce and all dumplings were soon demolished! read more

My family and I are visiting Cedar City for the Shakespeare Festival. We come to this every year and have been to all of the same restaurants so we were very excited to see a new Thai place open that had wonderful reviews. But, our excitement turned to disappointment fast. Here's why: The seating is next to nothing. When we walked in, every single table was taken. And there were many parties waiting outside to be seated. When we finally were seated, our waitress took a very long time to tend to us. This was especially bothersome because we had told the waitress we had a play to get to and she said she would be very speedy. That didn't happen. After we ordered, our food came fairly quickly so that was really nice. But when our food was set on the table. There was a strong scent of fish. (I am aware that Thai food is made with fish sauce) We all ordered vegetarian plates and were very turned off by the scent of fish. We all ordered vegetable Yellow Curry with the exception of my uncle who ordered Massaman Curry, which he described as tasting like "dog food". The yellow curry was overwhelming bland. I ordered mine mild and it was so spicy that I had to take a drink of water after ever bite. My grandmother, who also had the yellow curry, added FOUR packets of sugar to hers just to add some flavor. Last, it was ridiculously expensive. Not worth the money at all. I honestly would have been so much more satisfied going to McDonald's. All in all, it was an EXTREMELY disappointing experience and I will not return. read more

We both found med to be a bit warm. The decor is nicely done and inviting. The service was impeccable. Last, the taste. Both dishes were well prepared and had some different flavors than I'm used to at other Thai places. Perhaps regional differences? Nonetheless, it tastes good and the portions were right. Love eating Thai food. Especially from new places! Erawan is a brand new location in Cedar City and delivered way above my expectations! First off, the place itself is absolutely beautiful on the inside. It is, however, a bit too small and larger parties might be hard to accommodate. The place was packed with a waiting list so we opted for food to-go. The service we got just "to go" was phenomenal. The lady was very sweet and talkative. The menu is a bit pricey for Thai food but that really didn't bother me much since it tasted fantastic! I got the Jungle Curry and my wife got Thai Lomein and we shared the pork pot stickers. The portion sizes were perfect sized and we even had a little left over. The sauce for the pot stickers was scrumptious! Overall, it was a lovely to go dinner and we enjoyed it so much! Next time, we will go and dine in to get the whole experience but as for now, I'm pretty pleased and happy that such a new place is getting overwhelming support from the community! read more

My hubby and I are seriously in L O V E with Erawan!! In the past few months it's been open (no exaggeration) we've been in there a good 10 times. I am in love with the Massaman Curry and get it every time (I always try my hubby's dishes but just love that curry) and my hubby has tried quite a few dishes and his favorite is the Chicken Pad Thai! And he likes the Pho soup. (We also loveee their hot tea and the variety of flavors they offer). They are very aware of allergies and gluten free in particular (my husband is celiac). Its sooooo refreshing to have a restaurant know exactly what's gluten free and not! Our favorite part of Erawan is the atmosphere and friendly staff! With how crazy busy they always are, they still somehow manage to know our names and basically have our orders memorized! Highly recommend this cute restaurant. read more

Was here visiting from Southern California for my son's graduation from Southern Utah University . We had a big party. Thought we'd give this place a try given its a very short walking distance from our hotel (Hampton Inn). The dumplings and spring rolls were absolutely delicious. Each of us ordered our own entree which was a mistake because the portions are so large. But the food was, again, absolutely delicious. I orders my food at a 2.5 spicy which was plenty. Someone else in our party ordered 3 level spicy and that was just a little too much. So be careful going higher than that! Probably not going to be in Cedar City again as my son has graduated. This place has been open just 7 days and probably the best Thai restaurants I have had. Erawan's dishes were good portions, great quality ingredients, and beautifully decorated. For the quality of this Thai food, the price was perfect. We were absolutely stunned to find this quality of Thai food here in Cedar. Frankly, you won't find better in Las Vegas or SLC. We were greeted by happy and eager staff and I believe the owner! The place is absolutely gorgeous inside. There are just a few tables so it feels intimate when your are sitting. There is a tea area just inside to the left with what must have been 40+ different choices. We ended up getting the watermelon basil lime tea and a spearmint mixed with cucumber mojito tea. These were delivered in amazing little iron teapots. We were treated with beautiful menus once we sat down. There were so many delicious choices to choose from. However, as always when going to a new Thai place we order the Panang Curry, and the Pad Thai, this time we also got Red Curry Duck. EVERYTHING was delicious! Wow what a find! I've been to Cedar City several times for work and now I have a new favorite restaurant. The food was really good and surprisingly fast. Service was also really good.
