As a founding member of Erewhon Studio City and a Reserve member (highest loyalty tier earned based on spending), I'm honestly shocked by how poorly this was handled. My family and I spend thousands of dollars at this location and visit almost daily for groceries, meals, coffee, and prepared foods. One of the advertised Reserve benefits is a complimentary daily coffee and pastry. The problem? Nobody seems to know what actually qualifies. Over the past several visits, we've been told completely different stories depending on who is working. A pastry that was included multiple days in a row suddenly isn't included the next day. Other times we're told they're "out" of qualifying pastries altogether. Yet nowhere in the app, membership terms, or in-store does it say this benefit is subject to "while supplies last," unpublished restrictions, or constantly changing eligibility. Today I tried to calmly resolve this with Andy, who identified himself as a manager. Unfortunately, he seemed unfamiliar with the membership terms and had to start researching the issue on his personal phone while I showed him the benefit on mine. Then things got worse. An employee named Gisele aggressively inserted herself into the conversation while I was already speaking with the manager, loudly contradicted information, and when I asked why she continued involving herself, her response was: "Because I feel like it." I had to speak up especially after spending an arm on like 3 tenders they were kind enough to make fresh ones for me but when I got them it was an oily mess they got it straight from the fryer and served it to me but it was gross and I threw them away. I don't typically get sliders esp from a hot bar of a store. The glass garlic noodles were so good and soft. I loved that they weren't overly chewy. I have to admit they have a couple of really good random items though I like to buy (splurge) when I can, one of them being avocado oil popcorn, their cilantro rice, and now their chocolate croissants. Short wait for the coffee area, a girl came around to help out, and she was quick and efficient. Not sure if there is an option to warm this up, but it was good on it's own. This actually was a little less than some other places that have the same item, so I was impressed that Erewhon was slightly below what I expected. Glad I was able to pay for it there instead of waiting in the long line. Aisles here are similar to other stores; really skinny so you definitely have to shimmy by other customers if they're perusing. i get it now. erewhon is an amazing, organic grocery with high quality food (better food bar than many restaurants), smoothie and hot food bar, and supplements on end. the options here are truly endless. interior is modern, clean, well-organized. erewhon app is convenient. the hype is real. contrary to popular belief, most of the items sold here are reasonably priced. sure there are a few items that are overpriced, but overall i didn't find it to be ridiculous; there are so, so many great options. i love their roasted chicken sandwich, roasted chicken plates (with mac n cheese!) and juices. their heavenly juice truly does taste heavenly! i always received great customer service here, although one time i had ordered at the hot bar and paid by the front, received my order in 10 minutes. the second time it took them 30 minutes to make the same sandwich after waiting in line for 10 minutes, and they had to fix it so it took 45+ minutes for a single chicken sandwich, but they still made it wrong. there are plenty of people working here, so i doubt it's a staff shortage but they could use a better strategy when it comes to prioritizing orders. plan to wait 15-45 minutes for your order, no matter how small. i had to take off a star for the timeliness. erewhon is worth the hype; just make sure you have extra time if you order from the smoothie / hot food bar. read more

So I've left my review on how much I love the soft serve here at Erewhon but I know a popular menu category are their smoothies. I wanted to give my two cents for others to know because I'm a big smoothie fanatic the first time I got a smoothie here I tried the classic Haley Bieber strawberry smoothie and it was awful, not inedible, because I was able to finish it since I told myself if I paid $20 for a smoothie I'm gonna finish the whole thing. I've also tried the vanilla cloud smoothie which was decent. Just not my type of smoothie, I prefer something fruity. Now as a member, I also tried their monthly smoothies and I've hated all but one of them. I didn't even finish them, I tossed them in the trash. There was only one that was absolutely delicious and that was the alo berry smoothie. I wish that was a permanent smoothie, I would get that weekly. Now what frustrates me the most is inconsistency, but for a place that charges on average $20 per smoothie they should be pretty damn consistent and I'm disappointed to say they're not. My husband and I ordered two smoothies the other day, he got the Hailey Bieber smoothie and I got the limited special Nara Smith wellness smoothie. Let's talk about the wellness smoothie first - it did not look like it's photos which meant they did not prepare it correctly and it tasted OK. I didn't hate it but my husband smoothie was a completely different smoothie than the first time I ever had it. It was night and day, like they missed 3 million ingredients the first time around and this smoothie was curated with different ingredients. I am a member and their member drinks are only redeemable beginning of the month and they have been way too sweet, which I find strange because if you purchase say a smoothie it's the perfect not too sweet. Most of the employees are nice but there's always a sour patch or two. Today the gentleman judged me for using my Trader Joe's reusable tote. That was a bit rude. There's also an Asian gal with blonde hair that looked so shocked I had a membership when she asked me during checkout. (She also asked me twice as if I stuttered or maybe she didn't believe I could afford a membership.) That was also rude to me. I enjoy having the fresh prepared foods, sauces, soups, etc. It however doesn't list nutrition facts so for all you know that meal could be 100g of carbs. I have been unlucky purchasing their sauce and it ended up being moldy before their date on bottle. The organic strawberries from Harry's farm are delicious however usually go bad if not consumed within 24 hours of purchase. Their kale is always fresh which I do appreciate. I love grabbing a smoothie as well - this month's is so delicious and love that you can try their monthly smoothie for only $10. Lunch time they change up the offerings love to get a combo - you pay by weigh and they do give generous scoops so i recommend if you don't want to pay $40 or more to ask for small scoops - love their fish, salads chicken fingers and its always changing! Parking is free for the first 90 minutes. Erewhon is in a plaza with other boujee businesses and it was confusing at first but I was able to find the entrance eventually. You take a ticket and you don't need validation. I was only here to order their famous smoothies. My boyfriend and I ordered the Hailey Bieber and D'Lo smoothies. The Hailey Bieber was so sweet! I have a sweet tooth and even I thought it was really sweet. It was yummy, don't get me wrong but it felt more like a dessert than a smoothie. The D'Lo smoothie definitely tasted more like what you would expect a smoothie to taste like (healthy and fruity) and it was a good balance between tart and sweet. We paid $42 for the two smoothies. They have fresh ingredients used for their salads, to organic side dishes, to their hot meals cooked and displayed that is ready to be plucked up in a cafeteria style order. There are some days where it's just eh and some days where it's downright mind blowing. this being my first time at this location , my mind was rightfully blown. This has to be hands-down, the worst parking lot in LA. It even beats out Trader Joe's. It's so crowded and the prices are ridiculous. I got a mocha shake that tasted like water. It's kind of a Walmart for the rich and entitled. It's fun to take your guest to show them how stupid LA is. read more
