Mark, one of the owners, helped walk me through what I was looking for, and he was really kind and helpful. He said that they don't have a whole lot of sheet music and stuff with the advent of the internet, but I did find some good deals and music. I told Mark that after several years away from playing, I wanted to get back into the piano and was looking for technique books to help with my playing form. Compared to some other locations, I don't think this particular store has a huge footprint, but it seems like there is still a great selection of many types of instruments. We came here to pick up a cord for my nephew since he just got a new amp. So we didn't need a lot of help on this visit, but for the limited interaction we did have, the folks here were super friendly and helpful. I'm guessing the parking lot was a little more busy than usual since it was around the holidays, but there is a devoted lot to the stores in this area and parking was pretty easy.

Last night's performance by award winning Maunalua made me feel like I was back in Hawaii being treated to a jam session in someone's backyard. Anyone who has ever been to Hawaii can attest to the feeling of ohana (family) you feel being around these super talented but yet humble artists that will talk to you during the break as if you were life long friends and the intimate Cue is a great venue to perpetuate just that. The only thing I wish is more of the performances can be on weekends since I can't get out here on weekdays but understand that their main engagements in Hawaii are on weekends too.

He's not only super knowledgeable about guitar but also plays multiple instruments, which makes his teaching well-rounded. What I really appreciate about Ken is how patient and encouraging he is.
