This auto insurance agent has really decent rates on car insurance. The longer you stay with them and the less accidents you have, the lower insurance rates are to you. Given the fact that insurance rates are so freaking high in the state of Louisiana, this is more the reason to check this place out! I did have to take off a star on my review because my rates went up $50 more per month after I moved from Jefferson Parish to Orleans parish. Oh yeah they got decent renters insurance policies. The price of the renters insurance is dirt cheap. I went ahead and got it so I could have a piece of mind in case my place gets burglarized or the building catches fire and all my stuff were to go up in blazes I would be covered. I probably won't ever need it but its better to be safe instead of sorry. The staff here is pretty friendly. They are geared for sales really. To set up claims you actually have to call State farms office number or set a claim up online. In short decent premium rates for a piece of mind.

Immediately after that I was contacted via cell phone by State Farm rep Beaux Boudreaux. He gave me a fantastic rate and what's more important he gave me a very memorable experience. So much so that I immediately went from family, to coworker, to neighbor to let them know about that experience. Soon after my sister Dana Clark, my coworker Steve Do, and a few others went in to do business and were treated to better rates than they had with other insurance companies delivered with first class service. This really capped off a fantastic day for me. Everyone is happy when they get a new car, but the cherry on top was the great quote and amazing service. Anyhow, it has been 4+ years since then, and in my 10+ years of driving, I have never had to file a claim until the hail storm in February. Thus, it took 10+ years for me to experience any real issues with State Farm. As soon as that hail storm happened, I knew they were going to be flooded with claims, so about 10pm that same night I went onto the State Farm app and submitted the claim. (yay technology!) About a week passed without hearing anything from anyone. (boo technology) Finally they called to schedule an appointment with the adjuster at one of those "tent city" disaster claim popups. They wanted to schedule it the day of my wedding, which wasn't going to happen, so we scheduled it for 2 days afterwards. I showed up at my ridiculously early 7:15am appointment, only to be turned away because of some apparent computer glitch (or misinformed call center rep) that actually scheduled it for the following week. Argh. So much for first come, first served. So I got to drive around my fairly new-ish car with a million hail dents for about 3 weeks before seeing the adjuster and getting my repair check. The process went smoothly afterwards. They cut me a check, they were off by about $800, my body shop got them to cover the difference, car looks fine. My only other complaint is that these people close early without warning. I made my husband get to their office well before 5pm on a Friday to drop off a document that they needed from him, and at 4:40pm, nobody was in. The hours on the website and on the door to the building both say 5pm.

This agency was founded in 1943 by Salvador Pappalardo and a partner and the company is still locally owned with Al Pappalardo (Sal's son) serving as the president since 1973, and Al Pappalardo Jr. serving as the Vice President. The agency celebrated its 66th birthday recently and its roots are firmly planted in the area, so you know this is not a fly-by-night company. My initial phone call was fielded Eileen White - Personal Lines Customer and Sales, and I have never dealt with anyone else since that very first conversation. Eileen reviewed my coverage and offered a new policy with better coverage and a cheaper premium thanks to their professional relationship with the 20 insurance companies that they represent. Fast forward 11 months and my policy was getting ready to renew. Eileen reached out to me and we again reviewed my coverage needs.
