I paid him in advance which was a big mistake. I don't understand why he has done this and hurt his business because he did a good job on my exterior. Don't give him money you may never see him again. I've begged him since Oct to bring my doors back and he just won't respond. His handyman told me he never got paid and Manny acted like it was because I hadn't paid him. So add lier to the list of reasons to beware. I've spent approx 25,000 on this bathroom remodel and cabinets have no doors!

I hired…read morethem on August 7, 2023 to replace a 4ft x 6ft Sheetrock panel on the kitchen ceiling in our house and to repair several existing cracks in the living room and ceiling areas. Apparently 1,000 sq ft of ceiling drywall in the kitchen, living room, dining room and hallway was to be skim-coated, textured and painted. Total price was $3,100.00. $1,550.00/50% was given to them prior to starting the job. Cracks began reappearing after work was in process. The workers returned to the house four additional times to repair the cracks and retexture the area. They were paid the remaining $1.550.00 on August 18,2023. Less than two weeks later a 6 ft crack reappeared in the kitchen ceiling. I called the Project Manager at A-List and a worker came out to repair the area. He repaired the ceiling crack and re-textured the area with a rattle can. It looks hideous, unprofessional and does not match the surrounding area. Several days later another 8 ft long crack appeared in the area where the drywall panel was replaced. I made four phone calls to the Project Manager without any results. I called the owner on June 6, 2024 and advised him of the situation. He stated "I thought our Project Manager had taken care of that." I replied, "No he didn't. He doesn't return my phone calls. Your company was paid in full in August 2023 and the ceiling repairs have not been completed. Your contract states your labor has a two year warranty." He replied, "Obviously we do not have the expertise to repair the cracking issue. Go ahead and have the ceiling repaired by someone else and turn it into our insurance." I told him, "It is not my job to find another contractor to repair your defective work. It is up to your company to finish the job." I have not heard from the owner of A-List Painting LLC since the June 6, 2024 phone call. I sent him a Certified letter on August 5, 2024 to inform him that I was going to file a complaint with the Oregon Contractor's Board. The post office attempted to deliver the letter on four different occasions but it was refused to be accepted by this company. The letter was returned to me stating that "RETURN TO SENDER UNCLAIMED UNABLE TO FORWARD I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I had several consults with their team around this and they explicitly knew it was vinyl. Immediately after they painted the painting, started to warp bad all over the side of the house. The team that came out included a Sherwin-Williams specialist to assess the problem. Both were nice and professional and said they would get back to me within six weeks (this was summer 2024). No one got back to me or answered my calls for months. Literally months. I would call and leave voicemails with no response all while my house looks terrible. Fast-forward to February 2025 I call and get their general manager by chance. He tells me " well we wouldn't normally paint vinyl" and that he would look into it. This company is so disorganized and for the amount of money that it cost to have your house painted, people deserve better than this.

They left all the old paint that they blew off with a pressure washer and what the painters scraped on my roof, so now it's plugged up my new $4000 leaf guard gutter covers. all they did to fix the huge gouges in my siding was slap some DAP on it and it looks horrible, the damage they did should of required replacing the cedar siding, my trim is already popping off the house and they didn't even pound in the nail heads in. my gable ends have nice big vents that god knows how much water they blasted in my attic.. it was a blow and go paint job they should of taken more time to do it right instead they made my house look ghetto.. Do Not Hire These Guys..
