You should consider bringing back full service, hot food, and then one of the employees said that you limit the hours that you actually prepare hot food now which is tragic in my opinion There are so many other places to eat downtown Cleveland that are open and serving food throughout their business day that a person does not have to waste their time coming here. Okay, the smell initially will throw you off but trust me, their selection is good enough to warrant regular visits! I gotta say their produce section is the freshest I've witnessed. My bak choy, bean sprouts, leeks, greens were about the cleanest and plumpest I've ever bought. Their snack, drinks, frozen and refrigerated sections had a lot of different things not available elsewhere! Dare I say their prices are a tad lower than the bigger stores too? It's also conveniently attached to Szechuan (Sichuan) Gourmet. Since the space is smaller, this place can get pretty crowded though. We waited close to 15min just to check out so that was rough.

Inside is all the rest - meat, cheese, baked goods, spices, coffee, international foods...the list goes on and on. The ceiling is like an old train station , but purpose built in 1912 to be a bad*ss market. Gorgeous. About 130ish stalls. Cafe/bistro in ine corner, Johnny's hot dog joint in another. Kate's Fish, Peroigi Palace, Frank's Brats, Jim's Meats, Wiencek Poultry, Czuchraj Meats...i could go on... Get a buttermilk at Annemaries - salt and pepper on top is how my Dad did it. Keep in mind they do not sell half ducks anymore so you will have to buy a full duck! They not only had what I was looking for, there were charsui (bbq pork), chicken and some innards there. In addition, they have the expected Asian grocery options (bean sprouts, bok choy, pea leaves, lemongrass, gai lan, etc) and miscellaneous kitchen items like rice cookers, oriental knick knacks and items not normally found in your typical grocery store.
