I used Ernest Wilson to sell my café. I was told verbally that a commission would only be charged if the business was sold. Instead, I was billed £1,200 for advertising and other services, even though the café was not sold. Good news is that many people have succeeded in beating them in court, so worth getting a good barrister and take them on with their threats of court proceedings. My father once bought a business off Ernest Wilson back in the day. Bad experience. He spent most of his life savings on the business. when he wanted to sell he went back to the bad firm Ernest Wilson and they agreed to sell for commission. Years later my father took it off the market due to lack of interest and the fact EW had not posted ads in papers as they said and wanted to be paid for work already done. The firm is poor professionals with no regard for the clients. Please avoid the firm to buy or sell anything.They are all conmen/women who want money for nowt. read more
