Like most bubble tea houses, they've got various types of tea in their menu. There's your usual…read moremilk and fruit tea, yogurt, brewed, they even have latte and some food. Not to mention the low prices, ranging from Php 50 to Php 100 tops! Pretty common these days too, of course. What I love about Tea Life though is their line of choco milk tea. I found myself trying to decide what to get; they have around 10 variants. Of course I couldn't order hazelnut and almond 'cause uhhh allergies. In the end we ordered Whey Muscle Milk and Peppermint. The former reminded me of the choco malt shake I got from the neighboring milkshake hub, but the Peppermint one. Oooh. My friends have always opposed the marriage between chocolate and mint, claiming it tastes like Colgate or whatever. So it took me by surprised when they commented that they found it decent. It is something! And I agree, the peppermint one only cost me Php 100, and it's worth every cent.

The internet speed here is actually not bad, making it a real option when I need to go online without a computer handy. The equipment seems to be taken care of pretty well, as I have yet to transfer to another unit because of unsatisfactory performance. Given the gaming nature of the business, the crowd tends to be young and enthusiastic. That does translate to noise, though, with shouting, cheering and jeering all typical. At times, epithets fly fast and furious, so this isn't the best place to let a kid surf. Milk tea aside, some food items are also available. The staff are generally pleasant, and will leave you alone after the initial setup so you can do whatever you came there to do.

A lot of video games, including Defense of the Ancients (DoTA and DoTA 2), Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2, League of Legends, and lots of other video games, are also considered e-sports. E-sports are games played competitively, most of the time on an international circuit, just like other sports. Think of Mineski and its various branches as small-time basketball courts of soccer fields: places where you can play hardcore, but for fun. I'm not exactly a hardcore competitive gamer. I'm god-awful at stuff like DoTA 2 and LoL. However, I can talk about how incredible Mineski is as a gaming cafe. Not only are their computers very powerful with a comprehensive set of games and gaming options, but they have fantastic internet speeds with often very little lag during gaming. Mineski is also a lot better in environment: the area is large enough that it doesn't feel like a cramped, suffocating area, but small enough that you feel like you have an engaged gaming experience. Mineski is an exquisite place for hardcore gamers, or people who just want to practice.

But even I who isn't a PC game lover would often frequent this place to have my files printed. There was a time though where I would go to Mineski every week, this was during the time when Left For Dead was still a craze. You would see all the seats taken all the time! The printing service here is good. Prices are not so bad. Even to surf the net, the price isn't bad at all especially if you don't have a readily available laptop to use! Location wise, it's walking distance to campus. It's actually across the campus so it's really easy to get to Mineski. My tip is to not get lost of the time when you're here - most of the time people get too in to the game that they tend to forget about their next class!

Yesterday, my friend asked me to accompany her to some places where she would be passing her resume. Because I was bored and wanted an adventure, I went with her. When I met up with her in the train station, she informed me that she still had to print her CVs out in Netopia. This Netopia opens at 10am. There's already going to be a line outside it with people all rushing to have their documents printed, scanned, and edited. Knowing that all these people are in a rush, the staff of Netopia work fast but well. The place is a bit small, but if you won't be using their computers, you'll be fine. If you do need to use their computers, they have all the programs you need. And if you get stuck, one of their staff will be able to help you out.

I had to be in one all the time for different reasons-school work, e-mails and Friendster (Yes, I'm a dinosaur) Back then, the only computer we had was an old desktop and our internet connection was almost non-existent. It was so slow and so unreliable that it was almost impossible to do anything. And of course, school requirements and Friendster Testimonials couldn't be left behind. I had to be in Netopia almost every day and it wasn't difficult at all. Their rates are good; the connection is fast and their hardware reliable. This place gives me a sense of nostalgia just because in those days, I had it hard. And as I write this review in the comforts of my room, using my laptop and high-speed connection, I'd like to end this by saying thank you to Netopia, You're shop has made it possible for me to survive my college years without internet or a laptop. You helped me make it happen.
