I love crystals and gems more for their beauty than healing properties but I am open minded and have a dish of gemstones on my nightstand. Going through a serious health issue a few years ago has opened my mind and sparked my interest in alternative healing. Esmeralda's is located in one of the historic homes in Cauley Square. They sell a wide range of items in the rooms of the house. Inventory includes loose gem stones, crystals, runes, jewelry, oils, sage, dream catchers, books, candles, incense, clothes, and figurines. They also offer holistic spa services that include oxygenated massage, infared spa, aromatherapy and gemstone therapy, and detox foot bath. There is even a salt cave next door where salts are pumped into the air through a device known as a Halogenerator. Salt cleans and purifies the air resulting in an array of health and environmental benefits. Esmeralda's hosts events like yoga and tarot and rune card readings. A list of events can be found on their website. I loved my visit to this small but lovely and extremely comprehensive business. They are very knowledgeable and enjoy educating their customers. Sometimes there's a feeling that you have to visit a place and you can't exactly put your finger as to why. This was the situation I found myself with Esmeralda's. From the moment I had heard about this place, from the moment I saw the sign, something compelled me. I couldn't resist myself. I delved in and explore all the store had to offer. They have a bit of everything in terms of spirituality. Figurines, crystals, tarot cards, and of course, they have a variety of readings. They also had a bit of astrological stuff, and had they sold a Sagittarius shirt, I don't doubt I'd have bought it, but I digress. Crystals and gems galore. I saw large pieces of amethysts that spoke to me with their sparkling wonder. More so, though, what spoke to me is that they do readings there and some aren't traditional at all. At least traditional in my book. I got a rune reading done by Benji, and if you believe in that sort of thing, his advice was invaluable. For those that don't know what a rune reading is, it doesn't predict the future. It's very different from a tarot reading. It focuses instead on your current situation, your current energies, and what you can do to make your life better. In a sense, it's advice you can probably get from a good friend, but since I'm a lover of all things spiritual, I figured I'd give it s shot. My friend having done one in the past and enjoying it also motivated me to get one. Other than that, they have a back room for you to wait. Someone I recently met on Yelp recommended this place. Being a practicing Witchdoctor there's no way I can pass up an opportunity to mingle with Godless pagans & animists. When I realized this witches den was located in Cauley Square, I knew I had to pop in asap. I absolutely love Cauley Square it's like walking into a scene in a Harry Potter movie. Cauley Square is like a secluded hidden community where all the unique businesses are located in eclectic wood cottages. Once I entered I browsed around for a bit to see what interesting magickal items they had. I was quite impressed by what I saw. They had many things that catered to the witch & pagan lifestyle. I was really impressed with their incredible variety of hard to find tumbled stones. Each room spoke to me in its own tune of pagan poetry. I came to Esmeralda's Earth, Wind, and Fire Boutique because I noticed this business in mid 2018 (When it was called Sacred Rock Stars) on an earlier trip to Cauley Square. I had eaten at the nearby Cauley Square Tea Room and noticed this place across the street. I like to on occasion go into these types of places. I have always really put the most stock in evidence, in what I can see, taste, heat, feel, touch, but I do have a bit of a spiritual side. I have never been able to truly balance these two competing beliefs, all I do is try to keep an open mind and that's why I did coming here. Beautiful store. Plenty of items for sale. If you are spiritually inclined they sell candles, stones, Himalayan Singing Bowls and many other items. They also do Reiki readings and something called infrared sauna, which I have no idea what that is. They also seem to have a small clothing area as well. The people who run the store are also very friendly. I came in to do a reading, now what was interesting was that they offer in terms of reading is traditional tarot but they also read runes. Like the old Viking runes... the nerd in me was like oh let's try it. So I go in, do my reading, definitely an interesting experience doing it with runes instead of tarot as it gave it a more mystical kind of feel to it. As an aside the whole time before coming here to do the rune reading I was imagining going to the seer on the TV show The Vikings... certainly was fun to have this unique experience. I later explored the store and then went and paid for my services. It was a bit more expensive than other readings I have gotten in the past like $20-30 more so there is that. There is not much I know about crystals, healing stones, gems, quartz, etc., except that there are hundreds of uses for them. I still don't know what to call them exactly, since some people call them crystals (yet crystal is used to make fine stemware) and other people call them stones (many people working these shops are gemologists). Clearly I am in confusion, yet my best guess, and one I certainly like, would be to call them healing stones. About Sacred Rock Stars, well, the name pretty much sums it up. This would be by far the most comprehensive healing stone shop in the Miami area. I travel up and down South Florida, and even if I haven't been to every healing stone shop in the southern tip, I think this place may take the title of the best shop of the bunch. There are many different types, easily over a hundred varieties, and many sizes. There are also loose stones and mounted stones, in rings, earrings, necklaces, and figurines, as well as different shapes and raw form, without mentioning polished and unpolished. There are lots of stones, and I really mean lots. Now, the store may not look like a mega bookstore, but it has so much to offer. The first room has all the healing stones, plus Tibetan bowls (they are awesome!), salt lamps, drums, figures, sticks of selenite, some books, etc. The second room is full of jewelry, trinkets, card decks, etc, and then a third room with oils, herbs, more stones, books and jewelry, etc. Finally, there is a fourth room where families with children can hang, or where kids do their thing while parents shop around. Obviously, having the best collection of gems in the city is not enough for a five star rating. Something has to make this place extra special, and that would be the staff. This shop is family owned, so you most likely will talk to a family member when you stop by. That equates to talking to "someone who cares", and it shows. Now only are they the most "healing stones" knowledgeable people I have met, they are also very knowledgeable about spirituality and things of that nature. Coming here, for whatever reason, will always be a win win situation for you. Sacred Rock Stars is located in Cauley Square. Drive down the one way street and they are located to the right, a bit past the Christ Garden. This shop also offers many classes, seminars, workshops, etc. There is also a psychic on site, if you need a reading. To conclude, this store has a very strong energy. I have little by little been learning about the healing stones, and I don't mind driving down to Sacred Rock Stars to pick up a new stone/crystal. I usually come in every once in awhile. I love the staff because usually they are very nice and attentive no matter what. The girl from my last visit showed me some nice incense on sale and we talked about energy and how to cleanse. She and Benji are always full of information. However as I was being rung up, the girl with short dark hair asked a fellow employee not to take something. This older woman slams the item on the register, glares at her, and slams the door. I'm giving five stars because that girl handled it well. She even defended the other person's actions as much as possible despite having tears in her eyes. And to the other person who I hope has a better day, I think you shouldn't let your emotions get the best of you no matter what your problems are. I'm understanding but other people are not. This is an amazing little shop. They really make good use of their space. You walk in and are instantly greeded by a vast selection of stones. As you proceed through the store, there are bowls, dream catchers and more. Toward the back, there is a space dedicated to angel card readings, massages, foot detox, etc.. Although their prices are greasy and their location is very homey and they have a wide selection of wonderful things, I'm not sure the staff is all that friendly and as you would say "practice what they preach". The selection of gems and stones are fantastic and so are the people that work/own the shop they are the best! They are very knowledgeable about the stones. The prices are amazing too. I have also gotten a reading done by Joseph, who is at the shop and he was awesome. There is also someone that does reiki, which I haven't tried but saw someone who did and said it was great.
