I have been coming to Essential Elements for about 15 years now, and this place never ceases to continue improving the quality of your relaxation experience. The employees are dedicated and seem truly invested in ensuring a satisfactory experience. The owner Natalie is one of the kindest, humblest and overall sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. For the millions of clients she has, I am surprised she knows me by name. I can see why this place has been awarded so many accolades and can attest to their commitment to customer service. They have moved several times, to bigger and nicer places, and I keep following them! Parking is a breeze with a large parking lot which it shares with other small businesses. Ok the massages, I love deep tissue! and deep tissue is what they give. Please be honest and tell your therapist if you want the pressure more firm or less firm. They do not get offended at all. They are receptive if you are down for small talk during massages or not (I personally do not). The beds/rooms are well kept and zen inspired. YAY I was SO happy with my choice of a massage. I received a one hour massage from Samantha and I LOVED it. First off, this place was really easy to find, right off 71. It was a professional building, right ambiance, soothing. I was nervous, but their trained staff made me feel very comfortable. They are really friendly and motivated for your feedback. Essential Elements has everything I'm looking for: A beautiful, well appointed, relaxing physical environment-- the ambiance is amazing!! Unfortunately, I disagree with the other reviewers on this one. I'll start with the location - it was not easy to find. It was way in the back of a large building and it was only by mistake that I actually found it. When I arrived, I had to sit in my car for 15 minutes because they don't have a receptionist. I will say that the staff was very friendly, I have nothing bad to say as far as manners and professionalism go. In terms of the massage that I received, I was less than impressed. I get a deep tissue massage at least once a month. I received a gift certificate here, so I figured I'd try it out (not to mention, they got a high rating on a few sites). I was disappointed. I probably should have asked for more pressure, but I am so used to the masseuse asking me as the massage is happening that it never came up. And it was a deep tissue so I kept waiting for the 'deep' part! I really hope that my experience was not the norm and that others will receive better massages than the one I got. read more

We got a couples massage deal off of Groupon . We came from out of town for vacation and were excited. It was more expensive than other deals but felt we'd spoil ourselves. The therapists were very nice and professional but not good at all on gauging pressure but were good in general. But the manager there is rude and did NOT care about our experience. We chose the aromatherapy option and asked to choose a lavender scent. The one we chose the therapist were telling the manager they were almost out so they had to order more eventually. I heard the manager say "well they're just a groupon so use the other lavender. I'm not using the good stuff on a groupon". We bought it on a promotion but it's not supposed to receive any prejudice or judgement. We should get the same treatment. I'm never going to recommend this establishment. read more

I had recently discovered Essential Elements through Groupon. I love Groupon for what they do, but let me tell you that this was one of the biggest mistakes of my life to deal with this company period. This had all went down in less than 3 days. First off, everything had seemed fine. The sheduling process went smoothly. I had called to schedule the day after I bought the Groupon. I had asked for Friday at 3 pm, since I had off on Friday from work. During work today (Thursday, 03/02/2017), I get a strange text from Trish the "sole owner" of the studio which stated that she had a "sinus infection" so she was going to have to reschedule. Ok, cool. Whatever. I told her then I will contact her after work to reschedule. Then I get a voice mail today (Thursday, 03/02/2017), from Essential Elements, stating that it was 3:15 pm and why I wasn't there yet. Automatically, there was a red flag. I called as soon as I got off at 4 pm to figure out what was going on. Oh let me tell you, that's a whole other ball game. I don't know who I was on the phone with, but I was never treated with such disrespect, such an unprofessional and unethical tone and attitude in my entire life. She had kept insisting that she was on the phone with me to confirm with me that my appointment was today (Thursday, 03/02/2017), but which I had NEVER scheduled for. I had scheduled for Friday at 3 pm. She kept repeating her self at least 3 to 4 times stating that fact. Why on Earth would I schedule an appointment period while I was at work until 4 pm?! Excuse me, but at that point she was beginning to irritate me with her attitude. She was acting like I was the stupid one. Then I tried to explain about the text to to see if there was a way I can reschedule. She then stated that there was no Trish there. Um, ok. Sure... you are either lying now or I have no idea who this Trish was. I was absolutely confused at this point and even before I made this phone call. At one point during the conversation I got so fed up at the receptionist repeating and yelling at me that she had confirmed the appointment with me for today at Thursday, 03/02/2017. This conversation was going on for at least a minute before I got irritated by an incompetent receptionist. I probably should of demanded for a manager at that point but I couldn't tolerate being on the phone with this girl any more. At one point I had responded "I am going to Groupon to get my full refund back and I hope you are happy with your 1-star review." I went right then to go check my Groupon to start the refund process to only find that this receptionist had already redeemed the Groupon! At that point I was furious! I finally contacted Groupon and that was smooth sail to get back my refund, even if it will take 2-10 days. After I contacted Groupon, they had tried calling again. Apparently it was the manager of the salon trying to apologize. Nope. You need to fire that receptionist before she ruins your business lady. But oh my god. I have no idea what happened to even this minute as I type up this review. Never again. Stay far, far away! It will give you a headache more than anything else! read more

I have been here many times and it was a great experience. I always booked online and had a call-back within an hour to confirm, with an email to follow. I recently booked a couples massage for my husband's birthday a week and a half in advance and never got a return call or email. When I called myself to follow up they insisted they sent me an email (which was never received) and since I did not respond they booked the appointment times I had chosen, and all that was left was something that I just could not make work. To make matters worse the person I spoke to was very short with me and refused to even suggest another place that may be worth visiting. Now I have nothing special to do for him for his birthday, which is a shame because it's his 30th and we just got married. I really wanted to treat him to this. I am just so disappointed in the lack of customer care I received. When I asked why they didn't call me to confirm, she was very rude with her response of "Thats what I am doing right now" which obviously didn't help because she waited until the 3 times I had chosen were booked. If you decide to give this place a try I can promise the massages will be good, but I do not recommend booking online as they no longer seem to take priority to follow up with customers and confirm those appointments.
