Bad Experience here, took my Rover in for checkup, as had blown head gasget, they took over a week to find out that it was a cracked block and unrepairable. They still charged ne over £600.00 just for labour even though the car was now undrivable for any distance before it would overheat! I then had to source another engine myself and got a different garage to fit it overall it cost £1800 in the end and if i`d have gone to Alma Motors in the first place, i could have saved the £600!! Avoid at all costs. Their great at first, then you get their full on bad service! Their car prices are way too high as well, everytime i drive past, i can see nearly every car is about a thousand pounds more than it should be! Go elswhere! read more

Bought a ford focus on a 08 plate here December first day I took it home the accelerator went on it before I got home, to be fair they came and picked it up with in half hour to get it repaired so i thought just one of them things it's been sitting there on a car front not being used these things happen but the next month I had gearbox trouble, now its been back 4 times in 2 and half months they gave me a 3 month warranty but haven't provided me with and other car wile my ones in there garrage , so far this time there had it for a week and I still haven't got it back. I know if you buy a old car you can expect this but this car is only 2 year old and has only done 19000 miles, the staff are nice when taking your money but not that helpful after. Bought a Lexus IS200 from this car dealer a few months ago. Rushed into the purchase a little which is silly as I have been in the trade for 15 years. When I paid for the car in full, I was promised that the car would be MOT'd (which it was),That they would replace both front tyres (they also did) and that they would carry out a complete service on the car in the week before I came to pick it up, they did not. Unfortunately I am uncovering more and more problems almost on a daily basis. The latest of which is there has been black tape that has been very carefully put over the engine management light. Please, please steer clear of this place, they are very nice to deal with when it comes to taking your money! Essex car sales in Benfleet are cowboys, don't give them your money!!!!!!!! read more
