This is a very nice train station. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but I have…read morebeen in LOTS of train stations all over, and this is a nice one, IMO. The train station is clean, Including the elevators. The signage is clear and there are lots of employees to help customers. The restroom was very clean. The only reason for my 4 Star Review is the lack of seating both in the depot and platform. The depot has minimal seating, but the train platforms don't have a single seat. The enhanced security is reassuring as well. In addition to Security Guards, there is also bag xray for some trains ( I am assuming International?).

We would like to thank the Tourist Office in Pego very much for all their good services in the past…read more3 months! We always felt very welcome, even with our sometimes not so clear questions about routes, locations, fiestas, etc. They always were very informative in a highly pleasant and professional way. We rank the Pego office to be a, if not thé top Tourist Information office in the Marina Alta, and possibly in the entire Costa Blanca! In the past 5 years that we have been here during the winter, in different locations across the Costa Blanca, we have visited many of the Tourist offices in the region. Most of them also work highly professional. But the quality of 'Pego' is outstanding! This review considers first of all the people working there. But also the information materials and website are precisely what you look for as a 'senior' visitor. Furthermore we have experienced a great time in Pego: it is an interesting town with a friendly atmosphere. People are open and gentle. It also is a great starting place for mountain hikes. The hiking, biking and other maps the office has available plus the ones that they sell (like the 'old' Piolet) have been very helpful during our stay. Together with Komoot and Wikiloc we had little problems in finding, following and enjoying hiking routes. This is also a great part of the service! There also are various interesting brochures about the town and the region available, in short describing different aspects: history, art, fiestas, economy, farming/harvests, etc. We suggest to combine and elaborate several of them into a book about 'Pego I les Valls', off course then also e.g. in English. We believe that many visitors like us will appreciate it highly, and have no problem in paying for it. Such a book(let) will enrich the understanding and valuing of the city and the region! We now regretted to not find such deeper and integrated information. Finally: for the long stay/winter visitors it might be good to inform them that there is a fantastic indoor swimming pool in Pego!
