Everyone has their horror stories taking the metro in Santiago. People pushing and shoving to force their way on in rush hour, having to guard your purse from slippery hands, and (my personal favorite) the always rowdy group of futbol fans right before a game.
Metro Baquedano can be literal Hell in the mornings, especially if you are taking the red line. No joke they actually have to send empty cars to this station just to get everyone on board. It is always horrible trying to get on and you will be waiting your turn and someone else will always push ahead even though they have not been waiting as long as you.
Apart from the rush hour madness the metro station is super convenient as it is a transfer station between the green and red lines. There is also some interesting art inside of the station. read more
