There were numerous repairs that my uncles house needed: anything from a simple hole that to be patched,to re-Landscaping, appliances to be fixed, electrical situations that needed to be remedied, installation of new electrical fixtures, hauling off of debris, lifting heavy furniture, MEETING , Facebook marketplace, buyers so that I could liquidate my uncles estate without being on site. Kent is a jack of all trades, and he has an amazing work ethic. He is an absolute workhorse who loves what he does. When someone passes away and you live in another state, it's nearly impossible to get stuff done. I could not have successfully listed my uncles house without Kent's help. His business was a godsend for my family and I. We also were able to sell my uncles home in less than a week for top dollar. All of this due to the services of a state management company! So, my daughter and I made our way in to see what kind of neat treasures we can find. Walking in, it's quite overwhelming. It's a good sized store front but they have a lot crammed onto the sales floor. We made our way through through the store and they have some pretty pieces available. Tea sets, furniture, clothes. Surprisingly, I was quite taken back on some of the pricing her. I found an old birdcage and they wanted almost 200 bucks for it. That is some crazy business. Some salad bowl sets were 10 cause I couldn't imagine pricing anything above that. A tea set for 175 dollars. As full the store was with product, nothing really stuck out to me. To be honest, this place had a thrift store vibe with crazy pricing. Is everything vintage? No. It's a neat store if you're willing to maneuver your way through all the clutter. The pricing is out of this world and you can probably find similar things at the Idaho Youth Ranch for a quarter of the cost. It was neat that we made it in to check out but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

We set up an appointment with Shawna at Golden Goose, and my brother and I went to meet her at the storage unit location. After waiting for 30 minutes past the scheduled time and leaving a voice mail for her, we decided to go about the rest of our day. Shawna called my wife and was very apologetic saying that she had wrote down a different time and date. We rescheduled with her for the following week. This time 5 minutes or so past the appointment time, my wife called me to tell me that Shawna had called her to let her know that she had a nose bleed and was going to be late and that was if she could make it at all. I called Shawna and explained that we were waiting at the units and she agreed to come after she got her nose to stop bleeding. When she arrived she looked over the units very casually, took a couple pictures without moving anything out, and told us that she would have the contract drafted up and to us later that afternoon, and that they would get everything out by the end of the month (June). We did not see any quote or contract come through that day, the next day, or even the next week. I eventually called her to see what was going on and Shawna told me that her business partner had looked over the pictures and determined that they did not want to move forward. I explained that that would have been good information to have days ago as now I am paying another month of storage fees after Shawna had told my wife, brother, and I that it was all good and they would get the stuff out before the end of the month. She said that she was looking for other estate sales companies that she could refer us to, but failed to let us know that there was going to be an issue with what we were originally told. I feel as though the whole thing was nothing but red flags, but we wanted to support a local small business. We will still support a small business, just not this one. This whole debacle was handled poorly, with little to no communication, professionalism, or tact.
