Although slightly off the beaten path of Cap Hill, it's one of my favorite places to take people and visit when I'm in the area. You'll see cats wandering all over the store and cats will be cats, so sometimes they'll let you pet them sometimes they won't. There are even cat toys lying around to play with the cats. The books are also sold at reasonable prices and the staff are friendly. All around a great place to pop into when in Seattle/Cap Hill.

The smell of this bookshops brings me back to when my uncle, the late David Ishii had his shop in Pioneer Square. Whenever i visit Magus, certain book covers and genres bring me back to a time and place of nostalgia. I also geek out on the weight of a book, the binding, and cultural significance. LOVE THIS ALREADY. Book Tree is located on Market Street, up the hill from downtown Kirkland. There was even designated street parking just for this store. The space isn't the largest, so they're not going to have everything here. But there are so many treasures to be found! They have a first edition of many books that are affordably priced. Most of the books are used here, which I prefer. But if you're looking for a new book, they have a few of that. You mostly come here, scanning through the shelves, bending down and looking through all sections because some of the books will be misplaced and it's a little untidy. But honestly, I love book stores like this because the hunt for a good book makes it al the more appealing! And you never know what you'll find. I was able to find a book that's not as common and easily found at other stores of one my favorite authors. Score! Book Tree is a must visit for any book worm in Kirkland and beyond!
