What a cool place. My wife and I went in for a couples spa day and it was absolutely perfect. We started off with Himalayan salt lamps for our feet, along with some mimosas. Robes and good vibes right out the gate. Facial service was fantastic. They had us fill out a questionnaire about what skin care concerns we have. Then during the service they helped us talk through those concerns as they worked. It's nice to be able to understand what is being done and the process they're going through to get your skin glowing. It was great. Foot massages were amazing as well. Great job! I usually don't like to give negative reviews but I have to be honest right? I found this place through a promotional deal through Travelzoo and bought the spa day body treatment with facial and wine. I was so excited because it was going to be my Mother's Day gift for my mom. Anyhow, I tried calling but no one picked up which I wasn't upset about at all, so naturally since there was an option to leave a message via yelp, I left a short but nice message to try and set up an appointment. Shortly after sending a message, I was able to get in contact with them and set an appointment very easily via phone and everything was great. The lady even called me a day before the actual appointment day, letting me know they had a cancellation that day so if I wanted to come in earlier I could. Very very nice. I was thankful for her kind gesture. Okay so with that said... The reason I had to explain all of this was because the day of the appointment, things made a slight turn. The moment I walked in with my mom, no one greeted us. I saw the lady sitting at her desk and I came up to her and said hi first. Without a smile the entire time, she started semi-lecturing me about why I left 3 messages through yelp when they have a landline that you can call and if they don't pick up you can leave a message and they will get back to you within 24-48 hours. At that point, I was two things. First thing, I was so confused since I never left more than one message as you can see proof in the photo. Secondly, I was pretty upset by her unnecessary condescending tone throughout the entire "lecture." I kept thinking, why the hell is this lady talking down to me like this? She could have just clarified by "nicely" asking if I had left multiple messages, but nope. She straight up accused me right from the beginning. My mom who was behind me could tell I wasn't happy at all and she also didn't appreciate the way the lady was speaking to me so she asked if we should leave. Honestly I really wanted to just walk out at that point but since I had paid ahead of time through Travelzoo and it was actually for my mom and not me, I held my tongue and still smiled and proceeded with the treatment for my mom. The three stars are for Lupe who ended up doing the entire treatment for my mom. We loved her. She wasn't condescending at all and was very gentle and thorough. My mom enjoyed it very much. Once we walked back out, we were delighted to see a glass of white wine, cheese and crackers, grapes, and brownies set up for us to enjoy. Great touch to a relaxing spa day. To be honest though, I was kind of relieved that I didn't have to see the pretentious lady's face again since she was already in a different treatment room with another client. Overall, I don't think I would come here again. As an RN, I know when it comes to patient care, how a nurse made the patient feel makes or breaks the patient's experience. I believe this goes for any business as well. And I'm pretty sure through what I described in my review, you guys could tell if this was a make or break. But like I said, Lupe was great. We thank her for being kind to us from start to finish. Tip: Don't leave messages via yelp. Just call them and leave a message and they will get back to you within 24-48 hours. Suggestion for the business: My mother and I have gotten facials/spa treatments done many times throughout the years here in SoCal as well as in Korea. In order to survive in this industry, I think it would be beneficial for you guys to go out and observe/explore some of the Korean skincare/spa treatment places located throughout Irvine, Fullerton, and Koreatown in LA. You will be blown away/humbled by their top quality and updated technique and technology in treatment and service. There is a reason why Korean beauty and skincare is in the spotlight throughout the world. And their retail prices range from $100-150 only, unlike the $185 that you charge for half of what they do. Just an honest suggestion so you guys can see what you're actually competing against these days and what clients expect from places nowadays as well. I want to preface this by saying that I did not come to this spa but had definitely considered it. I was going to buy a Groupon because the services they offer sound to die for! I mean, a head to toe therapeutic spa package?! Who wouldn't want that! So before purchasing the Groupon, I attempted to call the spa to find out more about this absolutely phenomenal spa package . I didn't get a response so I left a message. I didn't get a follow up response either. I get that people are busy so I don't really mind. What genuinely stopped me was the attitude of the lady (I think her name is Nancy) who runs this business. To be completely honest, this lady scares me. The comments she's made on so many of the posts that don't give her business a 5 star review are just so appalling... not to mention they all seem to have the same complaint(s) in common. Like I'm genuinely concerned that if I go to this place and for whatever reason, I don't have an enjoyable experience, if I were to complain, this lady would tear my head off and feed it to the wolves. I guess I just have a hard time wrapping my mind around someone who runs a business and can be so rude and condescending to her "clients." I also don't understand how someone can be so unapologetically defensive and snarky rather than admit that something went wrong and attempt to make a horrible experience better. The main reason I am updating my review again is that the owner, VanDe, tracked me down on Facebook to air her grievances about my most recent review. It is NOT OKAY to contact customers that you don't know personally on other social media sites to discuss Yelp issues. It is cyber-stalking and is really unprofessional. Oh, and there is a messages function on Yelp - so no clue why she would chose to access my information on other sites but it is super uncalled for and very much unappreciated. Regarding the owner's comments, I still stand by my previous two reviews. However, I need to clarify that, contrary to what the owner stated, my last visit was in September 2012, which was only a year and a half ago (hardly 3 years ago) at the time of my update. (Perhaps she should keep better records of her customers.) My comments are based on several visits and give a fair review of my personal experience. I felt uncomfortable not knowing what I was paying for and having products pushed on me at the end of each visit. Some people may not mind, but those things bothered me. Not everyone has a 5-star experience but a solid 3-star is nothing to scoff at. I am honestly surprised at VanDe's reaction both on Yelp and via Facebook. Perhaps, instead of trying to discredit the review or shame your customer into giving you a better review, take my comments to heart and improve how you approach your business... or just realize that you can't please everyone and move on. read more

VanDee is simply AMAZING!! I have gone to get facials done with her 3 times and next week going for another. I'll admit, i have tried to save money by buying cheaper deals on Groupon for $29. But they were NOT good at all. But Van Dee always takes her time. She makes sure that whatever treatment she uses, it's for your skin problem. This place is impossible to get in touch with - and I can be persistent. I bought the Groupon and tried relentlessly to get in touch with someone to schedule the appointment. I ended up leaving a few voicemails with my number and got a call back at night and was unable to answer. When I call them back, they of course didn't answer. After months we finally got in touch with each other and they scheduled my appointment several months out. I asked for a reminder since it was so far out and they said they would call. I never got a call and I missed my appointment (partly my fault?). I called frustrated about them not doing a courtesy reminder and they said they don't do that?? She said to call back to schedule another appointment and every time I've tried since, I've gotten no response. It seems obvious that customer service should be priority #1 for a company that provides....a service. Of all the nail salons, hair salons, spas, etc. I've ever tried to contact, this is the least professional. I found VanDe through a Groupon deal they were promoting with the Microderms, my new fav and only go-to facial. I've now had 2 facials with Vande and can honestly say she is not only knowledgeable about skincare but also very kind and cares for your time. The way she set her whole little store and facial room up is very impressive. Her store makes you just want to stay for hours looking and playing with all the shiny little pretty things. I love the pin-ups Stilettos Cosmetics cases that are available for purchase too- so adorbs! And the room itself for the treatments is very relaxing and nicely set up for the office building its in. She gives great mini massages and has a wonderful energy about her. The scents all sound delightful and I always want to try them all. My skin looked more refined both times after I had left. I experienced mild peelies when I put on make-up the week following the first facial but that is normal and now taken care of by daily peel pads that I use with Vande's recommendation- I no longer get them. I feel super confident recommending my friends and family as well as Yelp followers to her establishment for any type of facial, there's a wide variety that Vande handles. This place was great! Located in a sort of office building but as soon as you walk into their suite you're in a day spa. Beautifully decorated, serene & very comfortable. I had a back treatment which was really good followed by a fantastic facial (ask for Delia - an expert in skin care & treatment - a real professional). I used Groupon & was bummed thinking how I probably wouldn't be able to afford to do this again but they have some great packages, for example, if you buy two or three microderm facials, etc. Can't wait to do this again. read more

I found this place because I was looking for an economical microderm. It helps that I was also not looking for an intense one, and lucky a living social deal came up. VanDe did a great job cleaning my skin. I do not recall exactly what they did, but it involved a few creams and a delightful hand massage. The cleaning she did was great -she takes the time to explain every detail. The rooming situation leaves you wanting to stay longer its no 5 star spa but it will do for me. During that mask treatment, VanDe left the room and didn't once come to check back up until it was time for it to come off and it was 10 minutes at least. I could have slept through the afternoon --it was so relaxing. I left with a clean, non-blotchy face and I was so happy. Pleasant experience and clean skin. Definitely going back! read more

WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I tried to book a facial for a Groupon that I have and it forced me to put my car down. I attempted in several ways to cancel the appointment the very next day. Through going onto website to try and cancel, texting the scheduling website trying to call but nobody picked up. When I first started going this place somebody always answer the phone so that's how I expected to communicate with the owner. They now have charge my card even though I have a Groupon without even contacting me at all. Will never use them again would not recommend!!!! read more

The spa is very clean and although it is not huge it is very well equipped with skin care and makeup products. Just had a facial with Vande and it went beyond my expectations! I have skin that is not always easy to work with because it reacts different and is unpredictable. but, it's all in the results! My skin glows and pores even look smaller! Vande is a pro! My husband loved his massage with Yvette. He rarely relaxes enough to drift off to sleep but this time he did! He loves his feet getting massaged and she made sure to spend more time on his feet. Happy feet for sure! I went in for a spa treatment on Saturday and was really easy to book an appointment I just asked her to text me since that works best for me and she did. This week was my first time here, and my first time having a Microderm. When I was younger, I never took care of my skin, and now that I'm turning 50, it's really starting to show, so I decided to give it a try. I found the location easily, and was relieved at how welcoming their suite is. Relaxing lighting, quiet, and very clean. VanDe is living proof of her skin care knowledge, her skin looked A-MAZ-ING, and she was very thorough in her description of what she was doing. Never having believed in skincare, I was surprised at how much softer my skin felt after just one treatment - I'm a former mail carrier who delivered mail in 110 degree weather all summer long for 10 years, with NO sunblock - my skin was like leather! It was my birthday today and I decided on a whim to treat myself to a massage. I called Esthetique to see if they can get me in today but there was no availability. Then I told VanDe (who I was talking to on the phone) that it was my birthday, so she tried to accommodate me and voila! I came in at 3:30 pm, 30 minutes late due to my calendar error. But VanDe and Junko were there to greet me with a smile, the kind of hospitality that only good friends give. I told them I had groupon, and she said I it's ok that I didn't have to bring it since I can pay directly the amount. Then on with Junko who gave me the massage. Her hands were magical, I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. She always asked me if the pressure was good, and continued to give me the best massage... I am sensitive to different lotions and cosmetics, and the oils and lotions she used were soothing, fragrant, and relaxing. There was peaceful music in the background, and I could have gone to sleep! Her foot massage was amazing! After the massage, I went to a different room and VanDe gave me the facial. I have never had a facial before, so was skeptical about the chemicals, and was scared that I might be allergic to something... But VanDe was reassuring, supportive, explained everything as she went along...it was the best facial to experience. There was a combination of hot and cold potions, at each step, my skin felt rejuvenated, smooth and relaxed all at once. VanDe asked me to go to the next room when I was ready. There, on a beautifully decorated table was a spread of fruit, cheeses, crackers and desserts, and virgin mimosa for me to indulge in after almost 3 hours of the unequivocal treatment! To top it all, when my sister from out of state found out I was enroute to the spa, she called to pay for my service - the best surprise of the day! What a birthday, I've had! Esthetique values people as much as their services. They are top notch in their field! I urge you to consider how your lack of full disclosure through the omission of important details about a product could lead clients to make regrettable purchases. Rather than stating a product is made of natural ingredients, perhaps less confusion would arise by either omitting that selling point entirely, or simply adding "A FEW" or "SOME" before "natural ingredients". That aside, I noticed that you did not address my first, and most crucial point: Your credentials do not qualify you to perform extractions on cystic acne. This delicate procedure carries a high probability of scarring and further infection and should not have been attempted by anyone other than a doctor, or under the direct supervision of a doctor. Because I do not want what has happened to me to happen to anyone else, I hope that rather than dismissing my words or becoming defensive, you'll consider my review not as an attack, but as a tool to improve. read more

I am so glad I found this place! I only get facials done at this place but I believe they have other services as well. I always obtain my services from Eugenia who by far has provided the best service and the best facials I have ever experienced. I have gotten facials at other places before but I have not gone to other locations ever since I found them on Groupon. I usually call in for an appointment late at night because of my school/work hours so I leave a voice message and VanDee always returns my call the next day with appointment option. This place is always so relaxing and I always look forward for my treatment after any stressful week! Now regarding my service from Eugenia she is the best. All her recommondations have made my skin in essence glow! I wish I could have done a before and after picture to show people the difference. Shortly after turning 21 my skinned just went on a crazy breakout that I could not control. I use to pride myself on my even toned face and not until now has Eugenia helped me get that back. My face has now obtained its even tone back with the help of her services and advice. Currently I began breaking out again slight because I have started losing weight and working out like crazy. Eugenia has helped me control that to make any minor break outs. I know once I have achieved my ideal weight and dont have to work out like crazy my break outs will be no more. VanDe is truly amazing! About 4 years ago a salon in CDM completely wrecked my face with microdermabrasion. I have been doing micros for about 10 years and have never had a reaction like the one I had experienced. Luckily I found VanDe and she brought my skin back to life.
