We've had our son at Kindercare Estrella since he was 2 months old (9 months now) and we've had nothing but a great experience. His teachers are wonderful and really work to develop him each day. We are positive that they have a huge part in him hitting all his milestones. He loves it there as well. Updated Review for Estrella KinderCare My son has been at Estrella KinderCare since he was 3 months old. For a long time, I truly felt confident in this center. While our early experience was positive, everything changed once he entered the toddler room. My son came home more than once with unexplained injuries. I picked him up once and discovered his mouth was bloody. I asked what happened, his teacher said, "I have no idea what happened." That answer was not only dismissive--it was alarming. He also had two separate incident reports for falling off classroom furniture--once from a table and another time from a chair. My question is this: if a teacher is truly supervising toddlers, how on earth is a child able to climb onto a table, stand long enough to fall, and get hurt--all without anyone noticing or stopping it? Toddlers are quick, yes, but that's exactly why supervision matters. Not long after, I personally witnessed a toddler teacher at Estrella KinderCare physically pushed a child down, causing him to fall and cry. The moment I saw that, I could not help but wonder if this was how my own son's injuries had occurred. It's one thing to get an "accident report." It's another to see with your own eyes how a teacher treats the children in their care. I immediately reported the incident to the director, Josie. She seemed concerned and assured me the teacher had been placed on leave pending an investigation. I wanted to believe her. But the very next day, when I arrived to pick up my son, that same teacher was in the toddler classroom--chatting and laughing with other staff. When I asked why she was there, I was told she was just picking up her own child. But here's the issue: if a teacher is supposedly on leave for pushing a toddler, why is she being allowed back into the classroom, interacting with the same kids? To me, that looked less like accountability and more like damage control. I have walked into the toddler room and seen teachers with their backs turned to the children while using their cell phones/the classroom iPads. As an educator myself, I cannot overstate how unacceptable that is. I am responsible for a classroom of children every day. I know what proper supervision looks like, and I know what negligence looks like. What I saw at KinderCare was negligence. At that point, my trust is gone. I unenrolled my son immediately. If you have a child in the toddler room at Estrella KinderCare, please be mindful of what's happening. Aggressive behavior toward children should never be tolerated, and yet here, it was brushed aside. What's worse is that the staff culture seems more interested in protecting each other than protecting the children. After pulling my son out, I decided to dig deeper. I looked up reports from the Arizona Department of Health Services regarding Estrella KinderCare. What I found shocked me--but it also, sadly, didn't surprise me. This center had already been cited for poor supervision of children by teachers and for excessive incident reports. These are the exact issues my son continued to experience almost a full year after those citations were issued. In other words, nothing had changed. The problems were documented, known, and ongoing. I'll be attaching screenshots of these reports in my review so other parents can see them as well. I gave Estrella KinderCare the benefit of the doubt too many times, and my son paid the price. Please, if you are considering sending your child here: don't. It's not worth the risk. There are caring teachers in this world, but the culture of this particular center feels broken and unsafe. For transparency, I'm leaving my original review below to show just how quickly things changed: My son has been going to Estrella KinderCare since he was 3 months old. He's now almost 2 years old and thriving! I can feel how loved he is by all the staff as soon as we step into the building. Any time I have a concern or issue, it is handled quickly. My son comes to this school and teachers since kindergarten have always given him a hard time letting him go or not at all to the restroom !!!! I he'll come home with his underwear full of number 2 I don't know what's going on at this school and letting kids go to the restroom but be sure to hear something similar it's a struggle and it's inhumane kids can't hold on their potties like adults can I don't understand why my son has been treated this way not right wrong in many ways I'm upset and upset being such a nice looking school looks can be deceiving it's a maybe other than that . read more

My son has been going to Kindercare Estrella since he was 5 months old and he's currently 3 now, and for the most part it has been a great experience for us, recently he joined the 3 year old class and at first he was having some issues adjusting but his teacher Ms. Rachel has really stepped in and helped him get adjusted ! We get daily repots on how he is doing and what went well or didn't go well and it really helps us as parents to know what we can work on with him at home. I will say we have been lucky that our son has had some great teachers since he has started with kindercare as an infant. read more

I had a really bad experience on our tour. Not an inclusive preschool, or at least this location. They said that my son would not be a "good fit" because he has a mild speech delay. Their website says they abide by the ADA rules and regulations but this was not true when I toured the facility. They were happy to take on my "typical" daughter, though and said she'd be a "great fit". As a Mom it really broke my heart for my son. I wouldn't recommend at all if your child has any differences. We found a great place for him now in a "typical" preschool setting who is welcoming and he loves it. Avoid! read more

This place horrible, no management whatsoever. My daughter cried every time we pulled up to the parking lot. The nannies changed almost every week. I heard one of the nannies offered fast food to our toddler, my husband also once saw a nannie kiss our daughter on the cheek. In my opinion, I don't agree with the germs from the persons mouth on my toddler. Most of the days when I dropped of my toddler the front office was always alone. read more

My child has been attending for about 2 years now. Every one knows her by name...and not in the "always in trouble" way! Danielle knows that when she sees my child there will be a story to share! I am glad we have a good rapport with the staff and the parents. I am glad that my child is there. I want to start by saying that this facility is relatively clean and nice and they have a pretty good curriculum. There are also some very good teachers such as miss Karla and miss Daisy. That being said, in a short amount of time my child was there she was given food she is allergic to and the director, Dana, was very rude and unprofessional on multiple occasions. if she can be disrespectful to parents I can imagine how she treats her staff, It trickles down. Bottom line, I flet like their lack of food allergy procedures and the inadequate director was something I would no longer put up with or spend my hard earned money on. My child loves it here! I have had nothing but great interactions with all the staff as well as with other parents.(Some of which I have become friends with) The facilities are clean and welcoming. The class sizes are smaller which makes it so the teachers can address the children in certain ways, and let me tell you I have seen a BIG difference at home! I had certain questions about my childs behavioral patterns and had my mind put at ease by the schools director. She had no problem sitting with me and answering any and all my questions alongside the teacher. She even went so far as to follow up after awhile. Now thats caring!! In this area(and anywhere else!) you cannot find a better place for your son or daughter! read more

My kids (ages 2 & 3) started going to KinderCare in April 2016 and we couldn't be happier. I worried that my oldest would have a hard time adjusting to school because we tried before at a different school and every morning drop off ended in tears. But it only took him about 2 weeks to get in the groove and now he loves going to "show and tell" every day! My youngest took to it right away. Ms Carla (three year old teacher) and Ms Mayeli (two year old teacher) are terrific as are their assistant teachers. I am amazed every day when I pick them up how excited they are about telling me what they have learned and done. I'm so glad we chose KinderCare! read more

Great center, my two year old has learned so much...more so than he ever could at home that's for sure. I feel like he is always bringing home stuff for me to learn too! All the teachers and management are so very nice and are always doing great events for my whole family to be apart of.. I just love it! When my son is off to kindergarten I plan to put him in a charter school in their driving zone so he can go to their before and after school. My son has been at Kindercare since he was 1 year old. It was a hard decision to allow someone else to care for my baby. When I walked in I was warmly greeted and felt immediate comfort. After touring the facility and meeting several teachers I knew this was the place for him. One of my biggest concerns was turnover. I met several teachers that had been there for years. Of course like any daycare facility there is turnover but since we have been there it has been minimal and I always know who is caring for my son. Everyone there is friendly and I always feel like I'm kept in the loop with what is going on. I have nothing but great things to say about our experience there. We have never had an issue and I reccomend Kindercare to many of my friends that are hesitant about putting their children in daycare. My son has one more year to go before kindergarten and he is getting exactly what he needs to transition to big boy school. We love everything about this place but mostly we love the staff that has made it like a second home for us. read more

I took my Kids to daycare (first day) so I can do my internship. I arrived at the center I dropped off the older one and went to the babies room so I could feed him and make his bottles. A baby was pooped so I told the teacher and she gave me a snobby look and said ok. She then told the baby yes the baby hold on I'll change you in a little bit. I fed my baby burped him and put all his belongings away and this baby still hasn't been changed so before I walked out I changed my baby too 9:45am. I went to do my observation in the 3s room I sat in for about an hour. Then I went to check on my baby who was screaming in the crib. I asked if he ate while putting my bootees on and she said no he's sleeping I looked at him crying and looked at her like serious??? She then looked at him and said oh he must've just woke up. I washed my hands and went to pick him up his face was red from crying and he was so cold so I knew he wasn't sleeping (he's spoiled) once I picked him up I noticed a red mark on his head I asked the teacher what happened? She was surprised and didn't know so she asked the other teacher who didn't give a shit to even look at him or in our way saying I don't know no one was near him... I then noticed he had snot all over his forehead (he is 2 months old) I got a wipe to clean his head and noticed another mark on the other side of his head. I got his bottle out of the warmer and two babies are on the tile one was crying so I looked to see why and the other baby was yanking on his hair. I kneeled down and took his hand off and said nice hands that hurts. Meanwhile one teacher is doing paperwork and the other one was sitting down pumping. I fed my baby and the teacher pumping said he only slept for 15 mins. Really then why did he get left in the crib? I asked where can I sign him out the one that wouldn't even look at me LOOKED at me and said your taking him? Uh yeah I'm taking him so I pulled my kids and left after 2 hours after being enrolled and 1 hour each without my supervision. I told the director I wasn't happy to know he wasn't being watched and they didn't even write an incident report. read more
