We went to Teotihuacán which was about a 45 minute drive. During the drive, Leo gave us a quick history lesson about the pyramids and the different gods. It's a quick prep to the tour once you get to the sites. (Just a friendly reminder, wear sunblock! I forgot and my shoulders are still burning haha). After the tour, which you will learn SO much, Leo took us to a small shop where you learn more about tools that were used back in the day, a quick mezcal tasting, then shopping. Lastly, we dropped by and had a meal at one of the little restaurants nearby. Our second tour with Leo was to Coyoacán, Frida's Casa Azul, and Xochimilco. This was so fun! Tickets to the Frida museum aren't included, but Leo will still give you some history about Frida and her life (would hate to ruin it for you, but she had a very sad life and Diego ain't shit lmao). After the museum, Leo picked us up and we headed to the embarcadero to get on our trajinera. This was the best part! Leo comes prepared to make it a good time! He has a great speaker and you can DJ what you want to listen to, but is also respectful if you want to hire some of the musicians that pull up. All in all, if you can, book all tours with Leo! You will not be disappointed! He's very professional, accommodating, great sense of humor, knowledgeable, and his English is great. Anna was working the afternoon in front of the Burger King store, on Tuesday June 2, 2026 (I think it was on the Calzada de Guadalupe). Anna was so attentive, patient with my not so good spanish (which I am working on for when I return to Mexico!), professional, and so very kind. She helped us, and explained the Turibus routes. We both used google translate to communicate. Anna was one of the most friendliest people we met on our entire trip. We were on the Turibus the next day and did the Historical and Palanco Cirsuit. We wanted to do the Basilica Circuit to see if Anna was working to thank her again for all her help. Turibus is so fortunate to have an amazing and kind person as Anna in their company. Give this lady a prize and a raise for her amazing service!!! THANK YOU ANNA!!!! Now for the tour itself. We did the tour in Mexico City June 3, 2026. Great to see Mexico City, especially if you don't have a lot of time. We bought our tickets for 400 MX pesos each, at the stand in the Historical Centre for a one day pass. They give you headphones and a map. Don't forget to bring water, snacks, a small towel, hat, and go to the bathroom before you go, because one circuit can take almost 2 hours. We did the Historical and Palanco circuit. The only thing was sometimes the descriptions of the area would cut off mid sentence, leaving you wondering what the rest of the story was. Depending on where you sit sometimes the connection to the audio on bus did not work. But no worries we just changed seats. Buses were clean. The day we went was hot, so if you are wearing shorts the seats on the top can get hot! But just give it some time to cool down. Bring a towel or sheet to cover the hot seat and you are good to go! Overall, super fun tour to get to see the city. We did not have enough time to do all four circuits in one day, so maybe consider buying a 48 hour pass. Also note tours end at 7 pm. And depending where you are you could be dropped off mid circuit. So plan your time accordingly. This was explained very well by Anna (see above). She was amazing!!! Also note is you are not fluent in Mexican spanish, which has some differences from other spanish dialects, bring your phone to translate or do some research on the tours before you go. Honestly, not a bad way to get around the city and catch some major highlights. It costs $290 MXN…read morefor adults and $150 MXN for children. We ended up getting our tickets and bracelets to get us on and off the bus. We decided to do the red line (Centro Historico) and yellow line (Polanco) within the allotted time. I liked the red line since it had plenty of stops and nice photo opps. The yellow line also had some nice stops on it, but the action seemed to be with the red line. The staff at the stop we were at, Monumento a la Independencia (Angel) made sure we went to the proper location for the bus. Seeing our limited Spanish speaking abilities, they were able to explain this in English. That was nice of them to do, ensuring that we all were in the right spots. Timing was listed as every 10 to 15 minutes for the frequency of buses, which was correct (aside from unpredictable traffic). Announcements were made for the approximate length of the tour, with extra time needing to be taken to account for traffic. I liked that they had the option of which language to give background information at each stop, but I would've wanted more detail and in depth explanations. They provided headphones with 10 options for language, volume control, and USB/USB-C plugs. Just be careful if you ride on the top and when it's hot out, because it gets pretty warm and you may run the risk of your phone overheating. When we were on the yellow line, the driver gave some extra tidbits of information, but seemed that he only explained in Spanish. Note: if you're on the top part of the bus/open air area, make sure to be careful since it is full of trees and you could easily get smacked by leaves or branches if you're not careful. We stopped during part of the red line route to grab a bite to eat, and when we were attempting to get on the green line transfer, were informed that due to our time (about 5:30pm) we would only make it for one of the stops, since the closing time for the bus tour is 7pm (open 9am). All in all good value if you want to see the city in limited time and for a good overview of the sights.

No variety in the food, which was some of the most mediocre - at best - we have had in our numerous trips to Mexico City. It was like a food tour in New York that takes you to Burger King, McDonalds, and Subway. The whole experience was so unsatisfactory that we requested a refund, which the owner agreed to but then ghosted us. That should tell you something. We had to finally reach out to the credit card company who agreed to the refund over the owner's objections. Contrary to the owner's strange view of things, we have never asked for our money back for any kind of eating experience, and I have over 240 reviews on a different platform. Buyer beware, this "tour" is not as advertised.

We had the best time exploring Roman Norte... this is truly an exceptional area in Mexico City with lots of cute coffee, shops, bakeries, variety of foods, and Mexican originals.:) One opportunity for improvement would be getting a microphone or stopping in areas that aren't so loud... At times it was hard to hear the tour guides. But they were very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. They made sure we were very safe on the roads while bicycle riding, too. Anyone can do it! One recommendation for tourists is to bring padded spandex // etc for your bum. The bicycle seats are not in great shape. The bikes are totally safe (I work for a bicycle manufacturer); brakes and chains are intact. However seats are not comfortable, handlebars can be narrow or wide, and helmets are not the best. Worst tour and customer service we have experienced in over 50 years of travel and 100+ countries…read morewe have visited. We wanted to visit Cacaxtla ruins in Tlaxcala and Vibe Adventures offered a relatively expensive tour, but that covered what we wanted to see. We booked the tour a couple of months in advance and everything was going as expected for our December 30th, 2025 tour to Cacaxtla and other sites in Tlaxcala. Our driver (top service) and our guide showed up in time at our hotel for our group of 9 people. We got on the van and maybe 20 minutes into the drive and on our way to Tlaxcala, the guide casually told us that Cacaxtla was closed because the ceiling protecting the archaeological site had collapsed a couple of weeks before and it had not been repaired. She offered to take us to visit some other sites in Puebla, which we had already visited before. We had no other option. Vibe Adventures never bothered to contact us to inform us that the archaeological site was closed. They ruined our trip for which we paid a lot of money. Upon our return to our hotel we check on Internet, on the Government official web site, social media, etc. No mention whatsoever of the collapsed ceiling. There are two possible explanations: 1. The accident was true (even if the site was shown as open in social media and official web page and no mention was made of any kind of mishap) and Vibe Adventures did not bother to contact us and mention that the tour we had booked was unavailable, or 2. The guide lied to us and came up with this story because for some unknown reason she did not want to go to Cacaxtla. We sent an email to Vibe Adventures requesting an explanation. We never heard back from them, which leads us to assume that this was just a scam. So far we have no idea what happened. Everything seems to indicate that Cacaxtla was open and the guide simply did not want to take us there. We will definitely never use Vibe Adventures services again. Perhaps, after going public with our terrible experience, they will finally have the courtesy as to reply with an explanation, perhaps a refund.

We stopped at La Tonina, La Casa de los Tacos Norteños, El Califa de Leon Taqueria (WOW!), Agavito MPDL (because tacos are even better when you pause for some mezcal), Tacos al Humo - Tacomotora Tizine, and finally Taqueria Selene. ALL the stops were both amazing and completely different. My favorite? I truly have no idea! Even the Mezcal was amazing. Being from the US I think of this smokey stuff that belongs in a lawnmower and not your mouth. Here you have something different. How different? Can I see the bottle? Well, ...pause... no, there is no bottle, no branding, just extremely small craft production that would make craft beer brewers cry. The other wonderful thing about the tour was you got a brochure at the start that had some history, some fun facts, etc, but most importantly all the places you would be going so no need to memorize them. This was an amazing tour! We did the Narvarte night tour. This took us to 5 different locations…read more that ended in a mezcal tasting which we really enjoyed. Garlic tostada & a costilla volcán - these were amazing! Soo much garlic that I was in heaven. The costilla volcan had a lot of cheese which felt like a tostada pizza. Soup sampler - beef broth was great cause it was a cold night and was warming. The flavors were like a Vietnamese soup. TIP: I liked the beef vs shrimp. Tacos a pastorr - for $1usd I'll take 10. Lol. These were good. Each station kinda tasted different cause one had a little more char than the other. Tacos de suadero - best taco of the trip. TIP: in your second round ask for beef and mans chorizo! Mezcal tasting - very informative of the different types and alcohol %. The ice cream was great! I'd highly recommend this tour and Mario made the trip very fun and since he's a chef he also gave alot of context of the food and how to cook it.

I booked the "Essentials" Mexico City street taco tour, but they had other street taco tours including one for after hours, one in a Mercado, and other spots around city. Our tour guide was Natalia, and she was the best! Getting to the meeting spot was a bit of a challenge due to a march going through downtown, so Natalia contacted me immediately to coordinate a different way of meeting with the group. She has a culinary background and is a food writer, so she had a wealth of knowledge about Mexican tradition and culture through the lens of food. I appreciated how mindful she was of my pork aversion. She helped provide alternatives for places that served pork so that I could try things within my dietary preferences. Pro tips: skip on breakfast and go to the tour hungry. The tour went above and beyond I expected. I knew that 6 taco stops were part of the tour, but we had a break at a pulqueria and a churreria. It's a lot of food in a 3-hour span. What's also cool about the tour was that we tried 6 different kinds of tacos. My personal favorites were the tacos from Los Provolones (1st stop), deep fried chile relleno taco from the 2nd stop, and tlacoyos from the 3rd stop.
