amazing hike with incredible scenery!…read more we paid the extra and started the hike from P3. it still ended up being right around 14 miles (including a couple detours we took). it's a strenuous hike for sure, but you don't have to be in top physical shape to do it..just get an early start and take breaks as needed. we started around 7am and we're done around 3pm. we took lots of breaks to rest and take in the sights. the troll's tongue outcropping. we got here right around 1130 and the line was about 20 minutes long. not really a big deal as it was fun to talk to other hikers and learn about where they'd traveled in Norway. weather was perfect for us with a high around 70. we also cut back on how much water we had to carry by filling up at a fast moving stream after the second emergency shelter. this hike is definitely worth the time and effort. you'll be rewarded with some amazing views and a sense of accomplishment

I would advise against the day hike with the guide. I was notified that the road up would be closed…read morea few weeks before my scheduled tour. No big deal things happen. Trolltunga Adventures emailed me saying no refund will be given. $200 scheduled tour cancelled yet NO REFUND was given. Heads up before you schedule a guide

This is on my top list of all hotels I have tried, because of the charm it has. It is 104 years…read moreold, it is calm, relaxing and no stress. I definitely love this place! The furnitures has a character you do not find these days. The hotel is warm with its wooden walls and ceilings. The view from the hotel is magnificent and so is the hotel itself. You can see this hotel from far. You can not miss it! Do not expect a fancy modern hotel, because this is the total opposite. Prepare to fall in love with the place and the view. The staff is great and very helpful all the time. I really wanna come back here soon again.
