I feel that even at its peak hours, there are open weight machines and spaces to train (knock on wood that it stays that way in January). As far as the equipment goes, it's new and works great. I haven't seen a single piece of broken equipment in my month of training here, and I come five days per week. Additionally, there's a lobby with a huge TV for game watch parties. Her father and I thoroughly researched the whole pepper spray scene. We all know of people who have their canisters and have simply taken an online or youtube class. That was not thorough enough for us. A 4-hour class was only $100, very well worth it. I got to watch, and my daughter was able to practice and hear of real-life scenarios from an expert who has been in numerous situations. She walked out of there today feeling very empowered. Like me, she may never have to use the spray in her entire life. But she feels that she has been well informed and prepared for so much more than she'd imagined. (She has watched some of the videos and say they don't prepare her as thoroughly as the class did.) We are going back to take the self-defense class together.

They are fabulous and authentic teachers. Alseny grew up in Guinea and Andréa lived there for seven years, they know Africa, and it's not just about fitness for them. They have many charitable projects both here and in Guinea and are a fabulous organization to be involved with. One of their projects here involves teaching community dance classes. Let me tell you my story about this... Meeting Alseny and Andréa has changed my life in so many ways. I never expected a dance class to have such a profound effect on my life. I have changed my way of living, changed my major in school (to Anthropology, focusing on dance) and changed my post baby body into a graceful, confident beautiful body again. There are too many rewards to list from this organization! If you are interested in music, take one of their classes (both drum & dance). The rhythms they teach are the roots of many forms of popular music today. The dance classes are perfect for EVERYONE! Yes I said EVERYONE! These are tribal dances, and tribes include all body styles, ages, sex, rhythm or no rhythm, flexible and inflexible! All of the classes not only make me break a sweat like I never have before, I get all of the positive encouragement and energy off the other dancers and the live drumming. It is so awesome to dance in front of 10 well organized drummers! I could just keep going and going, I love these guys!
