They cancelled my reservation right before pick-up and said they had no cars available. Worst Google-rated car hire in Bedford by a full 1.5 stars overall. Only ever had this problem with Europcar. Many other complaints about last-minute cancellations. They will take your money, cancel on you last minute and take forever to return your money. One review said 10 days. read more

Hired a Ford Fiesta, via Jet2 website, for a three day trip from Bristol Airport. Friendly and efficient service, from pick-up to return. Couldn't be faulted. No scams, no pressure. Was actually upgraded to immaculate, almost brand new, Ford Focus, which came complete with satnav, at no extra cost. Wish I had had the experience of this hire before arranging my car for a Spanish holiday later this month. Have used Europcar in the past, and shall most probably make them my first port of call, in future! read more
