I used Evans recently to go from Napa to SFO. Pros: The service was fast and efficient. It departed promptly on time. The driver was friendly, helpful, and safe. Cons: Cash only. Bus didn't arrive SFO at the expected time. Bus was definitely on the dated side. I think the price is excellent for the service. I arrived around 9:25am to the Napa terminal, just before the 9:30 bus to OAK. When we pulled up, the OAK driver came over to see if I was headed for Oakland. He didn't have to do that, he was just providing good service. The SFO driver was equally polite and a safe driver. The traffic we encountered was typical for a Friday and we didn't arrive SFO until about 11:45, 15 minutes late by Evans' timetable. I think they may need to adjust the expected times to correspond with traffic during that time of day. All said it was a very reasonably priced service and with frequent departures to and from Napa will be my number 1 choice in the future should I return. read more

Besides the inconvenience of them not accepting checks or credit cards, I recently had two major disappointments: 1) the desk receptionist was rude. She refused to accommodate my request to throw out my receipts and she never said you're welcome to my thank you's. 2) I parked my car for 4 days in their parking lot ($20). When I returned the car was covered in dirt! Not just a little dust but actually covered to the point I had to run the wipers to see which made mud. I realize it is the neighbors construciton that caused it, but they could have coned off that area of the large lot or at least mentioned it when I collected the vehicle. Instead, it seemed like they didn't care. I spent $200 and I feel bad about the whole experience. Next time I will put that $ towards another option to get to and from the airport. read more

The downward spiral continues. At SFO they no longer drop off at the International Departures level I discovered tonight on the 6.15 bus from Napa which by the way appears to have no springs at all. Instead they drop off at the Arrivals level which means you have to haul heavy bags through a crowded arrivals areas to get to an elevator then find check in. International used to be the first stop,now it's the last,so the whole thing really sucks. read more

I went to Evans alone at 8:30pm this evening to pick up my son. As it was dark I pulled into a lighted area but not in the way of the buses. An employee who I believe is named Steve ran out to my car window and started yelling and screaming for me to move my car. He wouldn't stop and became threatening. I moved my car and then the bus arrived. I would not feel safe going alone to Evans with that dangerous employee running out to peoples cars at night. They will not see my family there again. read more

Very reliable. I only put four because I wish the price point was lower or at least for those of us that live in Napa. I'm guessing uber is taking its business. But 80 round trip is high 60 would be better as it is the only way to get to the airport from Napa. read more

Unprofessional, overpriced and, as of today, unreliable. Stranded at SFO, all thanks to Evans. We have been using Evans bus services to get and from SFO over the last two years. It's been getting worse and worse. Waited at the pickup spot at 1025pm for the 1030pm shuttle. Called at 1040pm to see what the ETA was. We were told the shuttle is a little late. No problem. Called at 11pm, and was told by Nick that the shuttle left! I was standing in the same spot--pillar 343 at Terminal 2--the designated pick-up location on the website, which was also confirmed by Nick, and a bus never came by. Nick was extremely rude and becsme more condencending by the second. Thanks, Nick! Nothing like dealing with your Charm after a long flight! You chose to believe your driver followed protocol and that your long time customers are morons. As if being stranded at the airport wasn't bad enough, you made the experience even better. Advice to all potential customers: If you're two or more people, take an Uber and avoid these clowns. Will you $20 more and it's worth every penny. Can't wait for another shuttlr serivce to start competing against these guys. read more

Terrible company. I've lived in Napa almost 5 years and cannot believe there is not another airport charter competitor. Here are the issues: 1. Expensive- $40 one way...are you kidding me? So if you have 2+ people in your group, it's cheaper to uber. 2. Unreliable- they pick and choose where they want to pick you up. For instance, at the INT'L terminal at SFO, sometimes they go to level 2, sometimes level 1. One time, I got left behind because if this and called them...they basically said, sorry that was our mistake but we can't go back to get you so your simply out of luck. Thanks! 3. Disorganized. Cash only. Are we living in the 60s?. After writing this I am realizing I should start a competing airport transfer service company. If anyone today is looking for an alternative today, I'd suggest uber pool. read more

Every employee I came into contact with were all very friendly, courteous and accommodating. The bus was neat and clean and appeared to be relatively new. The driver explained what our stops would be and pointed out the safety features on the bus. We departed on time. This is my first time using this service and I have no problem recommending this place to family or friends. read more

Website said the rate from Vallejo to OAK was $29 each but it was $40 each. Uber cost $53 one way so it would have been a far better deal. The shocks were blown to shit and it was the worst airport Shuttle experience I've had. I travel well over 100 nights per year and will not use nor recommend Evans to anyone. Get an Uber or Lyft and safe your bones and wallet the agony. read more

Ride at your own risk! I wouldn't use it to get to the airport unless you can take 2 earlier shuttles than arrive at least 2-3 hours before your flight. Put on a known distressed shuttle On 090815, 1850, at SFO, we were picked up by the Evans return shuttle. Prior to leaving, the driver said that the alternator was not working, and he will try to drive us back to Napa. The AC was turned off to try and conserve battery power. The battery died on just prior to getting on the Bay Bridge on the freeway. We had to get pushed by a tow truck to a safer location, then walked to a second shuttle that was called once we broke down. Once we arrived at the station, we were forced to pay for the ride and told to call the sales office by Manager (Kimberly). We called on 090915, 1300 and spoke with Valerie and was told we were provided a service and no refund would be given. my complaint is that a second shuttle should have been used from the airport, instead of sending us on a broken shuttle to try and see if it would make it. The last time I used Evans, the shuttle was an hour later than the scheduled arrival time at SFO. And the time before, we had the battery die on the actual bay bridge and were pushed all the way to the toll booth plaza. (CALTRANS were awesome!). A second shuttle wasn't sent as there would be the next SFO shuttle coming at the next scheduled time. The next shuttle leaving SFO didn't stop to pick us up as it was full and a new bus wasn't sent. We ended up waiting for a bus from Oakland to pick us up. We ended up arriving in Napa at 0100 the next day! Evans response: "What do you expect for $29, you are free to find a lower priced ride." read more

Going from $29 to $40 is a huge price hike for what it is! I can't afford to tip. This is only makes sense now if you are traveling alone. $80 for 2 person does not make economical sense when it's just another $20 or so to get an Uber or Lyft at your chosen time (not forgetting all the promo codes that often come in emails which make the ride even cheaper). It's also very hit and miss with the drivers. They used to have very nice drivers (I started taking Evans 6 years ago) but I think they have either moved on or retired. More often than not, you will get a driver that doesn't seem like he wants to be there. And I have observed many occasions when they could have been more helpful to tourists (first timers taking Evans from SFO) but choose not to engage in helping them. 2 stars are for the fact that Evans have never failed to get me from point A to point B on time. As a tranport service, they get the job done. Albeit it's on the pricey side now. At very least, please start accepting credit cards! read more

I always use Evan's to get to and from (OAK or SFO airport) to Napa! It's easy, convenient with numerous pick up and drop off times, and the drivers are always pleasant. I do wish they took cards but there is an ATM inside and of course at the airport. The seats are comfortable and there is a bathroom on board. I recommend them and will continue to! read more

$29 for the trip from SFO airport to their depot in Napa. Another $16 if you want a shuttle to your hotel / B&B (this should really be stated on the website, but it isn't.) Our driver was a bit surly, but it was ok overall. It's the cheapest and most efficient way to get to Napa from SFO so I would recommend it to anyone looking for that option. On our way back, we took a cab to Vallejo and then a ferry to San Francisco, which was about the same price and time frame, but less efficient if you're going to and from the airport. read more

The woman on the phone could not have been more rude, and their transportation itself is nothing to write home about. They are completely unwilling to cooperate with the airport or their customers. Got to SFO around 5PM last night (1/18/2017), called Evans to confirm 6:30PM pickup time - staff said they might be a little late due to rain. At 6:30 waited 1/2 hr at transporter stop in wind/rain for bus. Called staff again - said driver had aborted trip because of "windshield wiper failure ". Fortunately we were able to catch BART to N. Concord and have family pick us up. Otherwise it was a big$ taxi ride. Unreliable comes to mind. read more

If I could I'd give them 0 stars. They just stranded me at the SFO airport. I was waiting for the 10:30 pm pickup and they were 40 min late. When the bus got to my terminal, the doors were never opened and the driver never got out to check for any new passengers. The bus then took off. I called their customer service and was told I was out of luck, that the bus was already on the freeway. When I told them what happened, I was told that the driver said he picked up one person at my stop. Obviously he lied, and their customer service was unsympathetic. I will never use their service again! read more

I had an excellent experience! I rode the last bus 9:00 pm to SFO. Coach tour bus, air condition, clean and rode smooth. Departed from The Marriott across the street from Six Flags. Park my vehicle there for 6 days $20. When you return they have a designated pick area every other hour. Don't miss the pick up time you could wait 2 hours for the next bus. This was one reason I didn't give 5 stars. I luck out and was right on time for the next bus. So, my transition from plane, baggage pickup and on the rode was perfect. I slept on the way back to the hotel no San Francisco traffic for me. I arrived to the hotel paid ticket. Second crazy thing they only take cash. Other than that, I'd definitely ride again and recommend it to friends. read more

We recommend this service to friends and family all the time. As of today we will no longer be doing that. My daughter is on the Evans bus to San Francisco from Napa. They air conditioning is not working and it's 102 out. They tell me they can't guarantee the AC will work and if people want to take different modes of transportation they are welcome to. Not very professional not very courteous. We definitely will be finding alternative transportation from now on. read more

It is the only airporter in Napa Valley. They don't take credit cards, don't have wifi on the buses, and don't run often enough to be convenient. The staff and drivers are very nice. If you have a party of more than two you may want to consider arranging for a car service that will be available on your schedule and will take your credit card in payment. read more

This is the third time I have used Evan's transportation and I have no complaint about the price of $40, however, I have a lot of complaints about the vehicle and driver. The last two times I have been in the shuttle it didn't have a/c and the bus was at least 95 degrees inside. Also, the ride felt like a bad rollercoaster ride with poor shocks and a lot of swerving on the road. I had to continually hold my head and neck or grab onto the seat. After three days of being back home I finally made a trip to the chiropractor who said my neck was out of adjustment and I had a strained muscle in my neck. I know this came from the wild ride in a badly bouncing vehicle. I called the company to inform them of my bad experience and they said they are getting some new vehicles. I hope so, because I will not use Evan's again until they have them. read more

Last night, at SFO, I rushed to meet the 8:30 Evans bus. I got there at 8:29. After 15 minutes and no bus, I called and they said the 8:30 already came and went! No response to telling her I was there at 8:30. I even sent a text after I got there, so I have time proof! I ended up using Lyft to take me to Napa. I'm very disappointed in Evans! read more

If youre on a tight schedule, make sure to get on the bus thats supposed to run earlier than the one you think would get you to the airport on time! On the plus side, Evans will get you there and the ride is safe and comfortable. Staff and drivers are courteous. Buses currently appear to be running almost an hour behind schedule. If theres traffic, theyll be even later. Missing a flight means having to shell out for a hotel overnight, if youre lucky enough to find one; and hopefully the airline can re-book your flight! read more

My family is in Napa and using Evans gives me some airport options: Oakland/SFO. I have used them only once and will be doing so again in June because it is nice to just catch the bus from the airport vs standing around waiting for a relative, who inevitably will get caught up in traffic going to/from the airport. First and last interaction with vacuous phone girl who answered questions that weren't asked, interrupted several times and exercised her sarcasm with the phony happy screw off attitude girls like her are famous for; avoid her and the business regarding inquiring about their services. Evans is arguably the least customer friendly transport out there. The only girl who answers the phone has no respect for the customer and treats you like absolute garbage. It doesn't matter how many times you have ridden with them or if you give them a heads up that you are coming they will disregard your efforts and constantly leave without you. Even if you are the only person riding and you tell them you will Be there in 2 minutes they would rather drive without a customer than accommodate you. It is also a cash only business that refuses credit cards which screams tax evasion. Overall, terrible service, particularly the one girl who works the desk, and not likely to use the service again strictly out of how poorly I've been treated time and time again. read more

Evans transport had the best prices by far for renting a shuttle bus. But its their customer service that is lacking. I originally dealt with Kendrick for an upcoming company trip, she swiftly emailed me a quote but we needed some time to compare pricing and finalize the trip details, so when I called back I was helped by someone named Kae who never returned ANY of my emails or calls, and when I was able to get her on the phone she would ask me questions that I already explained to her. After the 2nd time of not hearing back from Kae, I called and asked to speak directly to Kendrick again, which she finalized the details for me within the hour. It was a complicated trip to plan since the group kept changing the pick up and drop off times, which I had to ask for revised quotes, so I understand that Kendrick was probably very annoyed to have to do extra work, but that being said I am a customer, and we were spending a couple thousand on transportation alone. The reason why I am giving this a 3 star is that the driver went to the wrong hotel to pick up the group, and it says clearly in the contract the correct hotel and address. When I called to ask why this happened Kendrick first tried to defend the company saying there is more than one hotel with that name in the area, however I stated that he should have referenced the correct address if he knew there were 2 hotels in the area. (Which technically the hotels have 2 different names but whatever) Kendick did apologize but with a very snappy and rude attitude. She was annoyed with me for her company's mishap. read more

My family has used Evans for years. My mom was a flight attendant & dad was a pilot. Husband now travels a lot for business. They're your only airport shuttle option in Napa & it's a service that Napa needs but, I hate to say, they have terrible customer service since they went corporate. If you miss a bus by 2 min forget about it. Dispatch won't tell the driver to wait (even if you call & say you're on your way) but...YOU will! In excess of 2 hours. It has happened countless times. No wiggle room. I understand to a certain degree; it's business & you have to keep a schedule but, I'm just saying have a little consideration & at least be friendly. Napa is a small town. Value your customers, especially those who use your service regularly. It's not like you're always on time...far from it. read more

I am riding on an plane an hour away from SFO. I have been planning to ride the Evans bus to a specific hotel in Napa, where my missus has a rental car already. WAIT, what is this -- another $16 to get a drop off to the hotel I want, that is not disclosed on the website at all. That is a complete bait/switch. I am not saying the $16 is unreasonable, particularly if they are running the bus to make those drop-offs. The issue is that it is not disclosed on their website. Very nasty business practice. I just rented a car in the air and will avoid the service. read more
