We checked this place out before visiting the Frozen Farmer next door. They are both located in the same building on Evan's Farms. The produce looked very nice and inside the store they feature various brands of food items from baked goods, meats to jams, jellies, sauces and syrups. They also have a small area with clothing. This place had always been a standard go-to to and from the beach and the meats are so good! We never mind the up charge and paying a premium price for excellent local products. We also usually stock up and get lots of meat for the fridge. Unfortunately, not this time. I'll be calling the owner come Monday because I really do t appreciate that they charge the meat by the pound instead of the package. You have to buy a prepackaged 16oz (1lb) pack but they charge you by the pound so now you're paying for their packaging. Either have it by the pound or by the package. You shouldn't have both. Really frustrating to pay a dollar more just for the plastic. Please change this so that folks don't feel as nickeled and dimed. read more

I'm so excited to report that this consumer is quite happy! I have recently changed my diet and require more fresh fruits and veggies. About 1 week ago, I needed some fresh berries , and selected from Evan's. Most of us locals Love-Love-Love their ice cream, yet I had a wonderful experience with my produce purchase. Although I have purchased some here last summer, I was not greeted and served to this extent ( by the way, the other clerks do provide good service). The young lady, Jayden R. welcomed me with her pleasant smile and energetic attitude. Also, she accommodated my questions, without hesitation, and even went to the back to get me strawberries which were recently delivered there. When I saw the beautiful, red gems, my mouth was so ready , I even commented that I wanted the whole crate! Because this was not a planned event, I used my bank card for purchase. I spent close to $40 - peach salsa, corn, and 2-3 pints of strawberries. Jayden jokingly laughed at me because I got caught up in my "strawberry shopping" quest. The only problem that I had, was that I really wanted to tip too. Jayden sadly informed me that she couldn't accept one using my card, as only the ice cream shop can do that. What a bummer! Jayden, thank you again for excelling in your work. You made my long day end on a positive note due to our meeting and my arrival at home where I "yummingly" ate a large quantity of those sweet ! PS. For what I paid I could have gone to a grocery store and purchased organic veggies and fruit that would have lasted twice as long. We will not be returning. read more

The best thing here is the beehive. Definitely get a look at it while you're there. Second best, the ice cream shop with good ice cream in wonderful flavors - get the fruit ones, they're grown on site. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more patient. The corn is great and most of the people who came while I ate ice cream filled a bag with corn and left. The rest of the produce is fresh, the gift store is cheesy, the prices are high-ish, and they could use nicer, more knowledgeable staff in the main area. They also have a gorgeous ice cream truck. Yes, I'm reviewing a side-of-the-road produce stand. Leave me alone. :-P But they were so nice, and with lots of great preserves and such, that I wanted to give them a mention! Fresh product is of course a given, and the sweet corn was delicious tonight when I got home and roasted it for dinner. But they also have a bunch of homemade preserves and salad dressings. I haven't tried them, but I purchased strawberry jam, peach preserves, and cucumber dill dressing. They said the dressing is their most popular, and it looks freakin delicious. The produce here is top notch. We bought a yummy watermelon and the best, freshest corn I've had all season. In addition, there is a county fair-style food truck in the parking lot which specializes in boardwalk fries and fish. My daughter and I had a perfectly and carefully prepared lunch from the friendly and conscientious cook there. The crabcakes were lightly seasoned and perfectly fried on the outside while being tender and juicy inside. The fries were expertly prepared as well. This is a terrific alternative to a fast-food lunch. read more

Hands down the best Peach Ice Cream & Waffle Cones! The waffle cones are hand made & you can really tell the difference. Amazing!!!! All of their ice cream is fantastic. It's hard to pick a favorite....they're all so good. They also have fresh juiced drinks that are really good. If you have children there's plenty of things to do. My almost 2 year old grandson had the best time playing with the toy ice cream cart. Also, there are board games to play as a family for children that are older. It was nice to sit, eat & catch up with my daughter, son & grandson. You really can't ask for a better experience. The Owners & staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is inviting! There produce stand is the cutest one in town. They have a huge variety of fruits and vegetables. I go there just for the watermelon and sweet corn they are my personal favorites. They also have preserves which are super good too. Definitely a produce stand I will continue coming too! read more
