We highly recommend Evans Flowers. A dear friends mother passed away. I called them the day of the Wake and requested flowers be delivered that day. They were so courteous and very helpful. We were recommended to Evans for Valentines Day flowers in Peabody; believe-you-me I am one picky customer after having grown up in the florist business. Three words spring immediately to mind....Style, Service & Selection. We were greeted at the door by the new owner asking what we were looking for, she quickly got us to what WE were shopping for. They have "flower bar" where you can pick out your own stems and hand them over to a professional designer to arrange. I always "shop the flower case" where they had lovely, creative designs featuring very fresh roses with more interesting exotic blooms in a wide range of prices. Or you could go straight up trad with very long stem roses and babies breathe. The shop was extremely busy, but at least five staffers checked in with us to see if we needed any help. Not bad for Valentines Day morning with orders flying in on the phone and out the door. The new owners deliberately kept the very experienced staff who all work well together; resulting in a friendly, efficient - yet luxurious vibe which was pretty easy on the wallet. I have to say I'm quite sad over this review, but I feel compelled to rate my experience. My boyfriend has purchased from here 3 times now, and every time I've received the most dozen beautiful long stem red roses. Over the summer I got a floral bouquet that was wild flowers and lasted almost a week and a half! The second time were long stem red roses, they lasted over 2 weeks!!! I only took them out of water to trim the stems and refill with water. Now, the third time he got me flowers (YES, they were stunning!) but, started to wilt almost immediately! He ordered them on a Wednesday for our anniversary and picked them up in the afternoon. I showed up to a sweet surprise, but by 9pm there were petals falling, and brown stems. I figured, maybe bc of the cold temps in transporting? (He lives less than 3 minutes from the shop) Every day following , more petals dropped. I am no green thumb, but I know how to care for flowers (especially roses) they almost looked burned from having too much sun. They haven't even lasted a week, I have 2 roses left. To charge such a significant amount because of Valentines Day, and not even last 5 days breaks my heart and feels like a complete waste of money. read more

I have received flowers from Evan's for the last 5 years from my boyfriend and the arrangements have been beautiful every time. When my mom passed, I knew that I would be going to Evan's for the floral arrangements for her services. I spoke with Debbie who guided me in the right direction talking me through different options of the arrangements on the website that I had and made it so easy and painless in making my decision . I then met with Michelle and Dennis at the shop and they couldn't have been more helpful with putting together a special arrangment with orange roses, which were my moms favorite. They contacted their wholesaler to make sure that they got the exact color orange I was looking for. When we got to the funeral home for the services, they did not disappoint. The arrangments were amazingly beautiful and I'm sure my mom loved the arrangment with the orange roses, it was stunning! If you haven't tried Evan's please do, everyone there is so helpful, personable and the no matter what floral arrangement you buy from them, I promise, you will not be disappointed. From previous reviews, it sounds like Evans is great for weddings, but I would skip them for Valentine's day. Last year I ordered from them with a specific request. When my wife received the flowers, they weren't at all what I had requested. I called and complained, and was offered my money back, but then that offer was quickly retracted. They sent another mediocre bouquet, free of charge, but it didn't really make up for it. Mistakenly I called again this Valentine's day. I was tempted by the positive reviews and free shipping coupon. My wife just received her flowers, and while most of flowers are great, all the roses have brown spots and the petals are falling off, upon delivery. That's unacceptable. Very disappointed, and I won't order from them again. If you're looking for something special for you significant other, and don't care about quality, give them a call. If don't want your significant other to think the flowers were taken out of the trash, give someone else a call. read more

This is the place you should order your flowers from. I bought a dozen roses for my wife on Valentines Day. They were beautiful. It is now March 6 and we finally had to say goodbye to them. I used Evans Flowers to send an arrangment to my best friend for her birthday. I ordered the Gerber Daisy medium sized arrangement. The picture on the website looked like it had a ton of Daisies which are my friend's favorite flower. When placing my order I accidentally ordered two arrangments instead of one and didn't realize until after i already checked out. The owner/manager was able to remedy the situation in the morning and it was relatively easy/painless. I will say my friend loved the arrangment but when she sent me the picture i was a little disappointed it didn't have very many Daisies. They did have a few huge roses which were really pretty, just not what i was expecting. Planning has its ups & downs & stress; which any carrier/provider should make you feel more comfortable & understanding. I always seemed to be a bother. My order wasnt correct. I would advise against going to this place for ordering flowers. I went there to buy a butonneer for a prom and all I got was a half dead cold rose without any baby's breath or anything. The rose was small and wasn't worth the money they charged. Had to take it back and get a refund. I would never buy anything from this florist again. When I took it back, they could have cared less about what I had to say about the flower. They really need to get some people in there that know how to prepare flowers better. Also, at the prom, some girls had the wrist flowers prepared by Evans and before they even went out, the flowers were falling apart, both on the girls and their dates. I don't know what's going on with this place, but the skill is not there. read more

I got married on February 27th. Reception was at Spinelli's on Rt. 1. They gave me a $750 allowance in my package for flowers if I used one of their recommended florists. I met with all 4 of them and chose Evan's in Peabody to use my $750 in my church and my cocktail hour room. My REAL florist was Flowers by Annette in Revere (FANTASTIC!) and she did all of my personal flowers and reception centerpieces/cake, etc....... Where the REAL money was. I only used Evan's because Spinelli's included $750 in their package to use them. Well...... my wedding was at 5:30 p.m. At 5:20, just as my mom was helping me put my wrap on to get into the limo, we got a call from my brother (an usher) saying, "Aren't there supposed to be some flowers here, and an aisle runner?" EVANS NEVER SHOWED UP TO THE CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was supposed to have pew flowers and bows on every 3rd pew (28 pews on each side!) and two huge altar sprays, and a 125 foot aisle runner!!!!!!!!!!! Instead, i had NOTHING. It's Lent so the chuch is bare, and I had nothing because Evan's is HORRIBLE. My brother panicked when he didn't have an aisle runner to roll out for me, so he asked the church and they said they had a small one but weren't sure how long it was, so as a last minute decision, so I'd have SOMETHING to walk on, they tried to roll it out just before I was coming down the aisle. Turned out it was about 25 feet long, and my aisle was 125 feet. Then it started to roll back up, so my bro and bro-in-law had to take the pins off of their bouts to pin it to the carpet. Long story short, the idiot I met with (Teri at Evan's) went to the wrong church in the next town over and when the priest told her there was no wedding, she was too stupid to have brought my phone number with her and too dumb to call Spinelli's for my number even though i booked them through Spinelli's. So, I had nothing and my pictures are boring. And my wedding was VERY expensive, 200 people, surf and turf, open bar, all the fixins', beautiful centerpieces, etc..... and my church was an embarrassment........ thanks to Evans in Peabody. read more
