    Was part of a wedding party and went to pickup the flowers. Everything was ready for us, the flowers were perfect and the staff was friendly

    I have to say I'm quite sad over this review, but I feel compelled to rate my experience. My boyfriend has purchased from here 3 times now, and every time I've received the most dozen beautiful long stem red roses. Over the summer I got a floral bouquet that was wild flowers and lasted almost a week and a half! The second time were long stem red roses, they lasted over 2 weeks!!! I only took them out of water to trim the stems and refill with water. Now, the third time he got me flowers (YES, they were stunning!) but, started to wilt almost immediately! He ordered them on a Wednesday for our anniversary and picked them up in the afternoon. I showed up to a sweet surprise, but by 9pm there were petals falling, and brown stems. I figured, maybe bc of the cold temps in transporting? (He lives less than 3 minutes from the shop) Every day following , more petals dropped. I am no green thumb, but I know how to care for flowers (especially roses) they almost looked burned from having too much sun. They haven't even lasted a week, I have 2 roses left. To charge such a significant amount because of Valentines Day, and not even last 5 days breaks my heart and feels like a complete waste of money.

    From previous reviews, it sounds like Evans is great for weddings, but I would skip them for Valentine's day. Last year I ordered from them with a specific request. When my wife received the flowers, they weren't at all what I had requested. I called and complained, and was offered my money back, but then that offer was quickly retracted. They sent another mediocre bouquet, free of charge, but it didn't really make up for it. Mistakenly I called again this Valentine's day. I was tempted by the positive reviews and free shipping coupon. My wife just received her flowers, and while most of flowers are great, all the roses have brown spots and the petals are falling off, upon delivery. That's unacceptable. Very disappointed, and I won't order from them again. If you're looking for something special for you significant other, and don't care about quality, give them a call. If don't want your significant other to think the flowers were taken out of the trash, give someone else a call.

    A well-intentioned plan went sour for Mother's Day.. so I had to engage a backup plan quickly! I was able to remotely select a Teleflora arrangement and call in an order... the woman who helped me was very nice. They delivered on-time and my mom was thrilled with the flowers. She sent along a photo, and they do look very nice. The free delivery for Yelpers was also honored...

I've been sending arrangements to my Aunt all year, sort of an arrangement of the month plan, as a special thank-you... Bill makes each arrangement more spectacular than the last. The attention to detail and customer service is greatly appreciated. My Aunt reports that Bill saved the best arrangement for last: White orchids trimmed in gold for the holiday season. I was in the Royal Wedding spirit and wanted to get something fancy, and this shop had so many to choose from. The owner, Bill Graham is very talented and sweet. He spent time with me trying on different ones and helped me pick just the perfect one. My boyfriend has also got me flowers from here a few times and they always are gorgeous and professionally displayed. No one ever asks if you need help (which is whatever, because I can ask myself- but that's not the point). I spend a lot of money here... and to be honest, if there were another place like this in the area, I would stop visiting Kane's. Sometimes, I don't even like going in alone because it's uncomfortable and they look at you like you're clueless, or up to no good. So, all in all, come here if you want nice plants and horrible customer service. Hire someone else. Please.

    I believe there is too much negativity in the world, which is why I refrain from writing negative…read morereviews. I stick with the old adage, "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all". However, in the case of Kane's Flower World, unfortunately, I find it necessary to make an exception. I have been a customer for at 10 years, ever since moving to this area, and my issue has never been with their staff, who have always been courteous and helpful; it is with the owners. The husband and wife who own Kane's are flat out rude, lacking even the most basic of customer service skills or pleasantries. If you enter their store within 30 minutes of closing, you are immediately 'greeted' by one of them announcing from the sales counter (which is located near the entrance), "We're closing in 30 minutes!". Okay, how about, "Hello!" or "Welcome to Kane's!". But no, you get the terse 30 minute warning. I recently visited for an item and it must have been closing time. Mr. Kane was literally at the door, customers were checking out at the sales counter. What did he say to me? Not "Hello" or any other pleasantry. No of course not. He barked, "We're closing the store, what do you want?" I sheepishly told him, half-intimidated by his attitude, once again. "We're sold out, we're closing the store", and with that I was turned away at the door for the day. On the drive home, I telephoned Kane's, and Mr. Kane answered. I politely told him who I was, and that how I was treated at the door is not the way to treat any customer, no less a longtime customer. He immediately became irate, said that I should know the store hours, that he does pay his employees overtime, and denied the '30 minute warning' closing announcement from the sales counter as soon as you walk through the door. Well, he can deny it all he wants, but it has happened to me several times over the years. As for not paying his employees overtime, if he is so cheap as to herd his customers like cattle and treat them like dirt to avoid paying his employees a few extra dollars, that is even more of a reason for me to never shop a Kane's Flower World in the future. And I will not. Kane's Flower World has lost this longtime customer. Foreve.
