GBH Aesthetics

5 stars isn't enough!…read more Hiring GBH Aesthetics as my day-of coordinator was by far the best investment I made for my wedding. From start to finish, they were calm, organized, professional, and genuinely kind--exactly what every bride needs on her big day. They also created our sweetheart table and centerpieces, and everything looked beautiful. The décor was exactly what I envisioned--elegant, simple, and just the right size and style. Even my mom couldn't stop talking about how perfect it all was! What really stood out, though, was how smoothly everything ran. When delays came up at the church, they kept things on time and stress-free. Multiple vendors--even the photographer!--told me how much they loved working with GBH. I truly don't think the day would've gone as beautifully as it did without them. I'll be recommending GBH Aesthetics to every couple I know (especially for weddings coming up in November and March)! Thank you so much for making our day unforgettable. once I have photos back from people and the photographer I will post the fabulous job GBH did with the centerpieces and sweetheart table, but even better than that was the peace of mind I had during the day. being a planner myself I wasn't sure if I needed a coordinator but it's now my #1 recommendation to any bride! it was so nice to allow my bridal party and family to enjoy the wedding instead of having them work it and that is something I will forever treasure in my heart.

If I could give Swig 10 stars, I would…read more About 6 months ago I began planning a barn party on my property to celebrate my 20th anniversary. I love throwing parties, I have thrown several since moving into this house, and I actually am one of those people that loves all of the work that goes into planning and executing parties. I have cooked, by myself, for as many as 80 people before, but this time - I just wanted to be taken care of for once, instead of being the host that's taking care of everyone else. I knew about Swig because I followed them on Instagram, and decided to contact Sara and talk to her about my event. It was a smaller event - about 40 people total - and I had it catered (first time not providing all the food myself!), so I really just wanted someone to stay on top of cleanliness and food and drink replenishment. Sara assured me that this is exactly what Swig is there for, so we decided to hire just one server to assist with our party. Angelique arrived on time (in fact I think she was a little early!) and immediately felt like a member of my family. She was so sweet and friendly, right off the bat. She got right to work and did everything I asked of her (and more) - she assisted with setting up the food when the caterer arrived while I ran around and took care of some last minute details and greeted my guests as they arrived. This also freed me up to have some family photos taken with my photographer before the event, which was awesome! Throughout the night she checked with me several times to see if there was anything I needed from her, but honestly, I couldn't think of anything more than she was already doing! She was on the ball, all night. She made sure the food and drinks were replenished when needed, and the tables were cleaned throughout the night. She even went into my house and did some dishes in my sink (not even party dishes!!) and grabbed some containers to pack up the leftover food. This was an amazing detail that I always seem to forget when I throw my own parties, and wait too long and end up having to toss the food. Thanks to Angelique, we have leftovers for days and I am very excited about the tacos I'll be eating for dinner tonight! By the end of the night, I looked around and the whole barn looked exactly as it had when I was setting it up and decorating hours earlier - like a party had not even taken place yet. Every surface was clean, there was nothing spilled anywhere, and all the trash was taken care of. Several of my guests remarked to me on how friendly she was, and what an amazing job she did as well. Hiring Swig was hands-down the BEST money I spent for this party, and I would hire them again without hesitation. In fact, I may never do my own party again, as long as Swig is around! It was SO nice to be able to relax, eat, and socialize with my friends and family on such a special day, instead of having to make sure we didn't run out of tortilla chips or water bottles. I had an amazing time and Swig played a huge part in that. Thank you!!!

As soon as she arrived She took over and managed Photos, bridal party, transportation, set up, coordination with all music, ceremony, cocktail hour, vendor coordination, dinner -you name it! The rest of the crew worked tirelessly to accomplish everything needed(rain made our set up complicated). we cannot say enough about this group and encourage anyone who needs staffing to hire Swig!

I'm honored to not have only held by wedding at "The Barn" but to create the listing on Yelp for it…read moreand be the first to review. Ruth and her team were phenomenal throughout the entire experience and we couldn't have asked for a better event planner who listened to our endless questions, suggestions and small complaints to try and make it as great as we could. I had no clue what I was doing when planning an event this big but our wedding weekend, Ruth had four weddings in total so she is clearly a PRO at this. We had to book over a year in advance so if you are reading my review and don't have a summer weekend already locked up for a date you are looking for in a month or two, it's probably not going to happen. It's a popular spot and will only get more so as people learn about this new location for weddings. Set back off the main road in a very rural area, the barn itself holds 200 guests and you can have pretty much your entire wedding day on site, from the ceremony to an outdoor cocktail hour and then into the barn for the reception itself. I've posted some professional pics for people to see the true beauty of both the inside and out. Parking is easy for all of your guests as they are guided to a giant lawn behind the barn itself, hidden away from the beauty out front. There is also a Bed & Breakfast on site that can be rented by guests or even your wedding party. I got changed in the old butcher room (a sign?) while my wife was able to get dressed in the bridal suite on site. Pretty much all of your needs are here, you just need to bring booze and guests. Ruth has been in the catering business for years and her hubby is a culinary chef in the top echelon for Columbia County. From exotic seafood options to standard, PA Dutch food for the area, your needs (eeerrr wants) for your menu are easily met by a wide variety of options. And, it's freaking delicious. Drawbacks of the location are that it has no AC or heat.....so if it's an early August 95 degree day, you're going to melt. It got down into the 50's on our wedding night and it was slightly chilly inside, just glad there were enough people there to keep the temp up enough to not have people freeze to death. It's also hilly in some spots so when the rain came down, it was slick for people and the outdoor location had to be moved indoors for the ceremony as it wasn't allowed because of people being able to loose their footing. If you want to impress your guests and have them talking for a shoestring budget, at least in comparison to prices we were finding in metropolitan areas, you won't be disappointed.
