My 6 year old yellow lab, Bruno had a cardiac arrest around 10:30 am this Tuesday (8th Oct 2024) while lying near my feet in my study room. He had no previous health issues and was a perfectly happy-go-lucky gentle giant. I can still hear his painful shrieks that mellowed into a whimper before he passed out in my arms. When 911 refused to attend to pet emergencies, my only option was to pick him up and rush to the nearest vet. Having recently moved to Woodinville, I vaguely remembered a vet hospital opposite Safeway. Following my memory, I hurried Bruno there, which turned out to be Evergreen Veterinary Hospital. As soon as we arrived, the hospital staff rushed out to take Bruno inside while I caught my breath and completed the paperwork. Despite their best efforts, Dr. Wilcock and her team were unable to revive Bruno. They suspected cardiac arrest as the cause. Bruno left us unexpectedly and far too soon, at just over 6 years old - much younger than the typical 12-15 years for Labradors. My family is devastated by the loss. Throughout this difficult time, Dr. Wilcock and her team were incredibly empathetic and supportive. Being our first dog, we were unprepared for this experience, and they guided us through each step. They provided us with options for private cremation through a third party and arranged for Bruno's ashes, paw prints, and fur clippings to be returned to us in an urn (awaiting, expecting to go pick it today). We left Bruno at the hospital and came back later that day after my daughter came back from school to say our final goodbyes to Bruno. We brought Bruno's favorite toys and treats for him to take with him across the rainbow bridge. Christina, the front-office manager, helped us navigate the paperwork with great compassion. They allowed us to mourn and stay with Bruno as long as we needed. After coming back home, when we realized we had forgotten to apply the red holy powder (we are Hindu), we called the hospital to ask if Bruno was still there. Though we couldn't apply it ourselves, the staff graciously assured us they would follow our instructions and apply the powder on Bruno's forehead for us. Although I don't have experiences to share about their routine care, I can confidently say that we couldn't have found a better place to say goodbye to our beloved Bruno. Their final bill was also very reasonable, only charging for the actual services provided--unlike other veterinary hospitals that often charge for room fees, doctor visits, etc. While I know Bruno can never be replaced, if we ever have the strength to bring another puppy into our home, Evergreen Veterinary Hospital is where we will go. I've been going to this place for 35 years. I have been very loyal to this company and have gone through maybe 10 veterinarians and maybe 15 or 20 office managers over the years. My dog was dying and I needed to see a vet right away and was told by the new office manager that she didn't like the way I was talking to her and to go away. I never called that vet again... To say I was shocked Whoever this manager was or is, was so rude to me... I tried to call back three times to talk to one of the vets that know me to complain about this office manager, and what she said to me however, she kept hanging up on me. I would not let me talk to a vet there and did not any message to one of the principal vets there that know me and my Sealyham terriers I had to go to another veterinarian and the bill was $6000 plus which is money that Evergreen veterinary is not getting... This will affect their bottom line... Whoever that lady Office manager is did the same thing to my girlfriend two weeks previously told her not to come back... This lady is going to ruin their business... She thinks it's her business and she can just tell old customers not to come back... This company owes me an apology! Whoever this office lady is, she's gonna ruin your business if she hasn't already.... What the hell were you thinking when you hired this person I left one of my dogs there to board once two years ago, and when I came back, my dog was lame... There was no explanation, and I had to take him to WSU to have a back operation... There was no explanation as to how his back was hurt Then I come to find out that they do not have anybody there at night when you board your dog... Something happened to my dog during the night and there was nobody there to help him... And this is at the veterinarians! read more

They caused my friends dog to be euthanized after a dental surgery. The dog had burns on its stomach which no one would clarify and explain why it happened. Please think twice about this vet as my friend is suffering terribly after the loss of her sweet dog that she loved so much and was her life! read more

I just went for my first appointment here and couldn't be happier with the service I received. I had a person recommend this place. We saw Dr Cullen. I was happy with her medical advice on various topics, but the part I really appreciated was that she took her time. My dog is very anxious and had not had good vet experiences to date. Instead of plopping him on the table and jumping into an exam, she let him walk around the room and sniff her while we talked first. By the time she was ready to examine him, and he saw I had been comfortably talking with her, he was much more relaxed. I have a Basenji that we brought home the week before COVID hit. It turns out he naturally runs on the extremely anxious side. I realize the original vet place I was using during COVID was trying to be protect folks, and I respect that, but their on-going policy of owners must stay in the car was not good for my dog. They would come to the car and drag him inside on a leash while he would snarl and growl and get nasty). My dog would get upset if we were in the car and even drove near the vet. I was desperate for a better experience. This place was worth the 30 min drive each way! read more

We've been going to Dr. Wilcock ever since we stopped going to Eastside Veterinary Associates (would NOT recommend) and she has been nothing but perfect so far. We're a little biased since we have a baby Dobey :) so if you have a Dobey I would definitely go see her based off her past and current experience with them. Warning!!! Do not go to this vet!!! My dogs have been patients for over 12 years... Something is going very wrong there now! #1 they prescribed medicine a APOQUEL to my friends puppy that could have caused neurological damage. This medicine clearly states that is not for pets UNDER 12 months her puppy is 3months old. They also misdiagnosed a rash when it was Mange! The mange has now gotten progressively worse! 3 vet visits and hundreds of dollars they never even diagnosed this. It took getting s second opinion to finally figure this out! This vet will not work with online pet meds and charges 3x the money for simple prescription flea medication.(revolution) When contacting them to inquire about the initial puppy visit and what was given they did not even record the type of meds. FRUSTRATED!! My friend and I have lost faith in their medical knowledge and their ability to put the pets first. They are disorganized, make deadly errors and have bad communication. read more

Our sweet boy Dodger got attacked by a dog on Thanksgiving. He seemed alright physically, but wanted to get him checked. My friend has used this vet for years, and so I asked for info. I called and the receptionist, Fiona, was so helpful. She got me numbers of local urgent care places, which I had just gotten set up when she called to say there had been a cancellation, and to come on in. I did, and boy did I notice a difference in my pet. Instead of having to be dragged in, he trotted in and even tried to go in the rooms. When the techs and vet came in they were so kind to Dodger and myself. They took the time to make sure Dodger was comfortable and listened to my concerns. The vet prescribed some pain meds, and an anti-anxiety med to use if needed. After giving him a dose of Paon meds, and following the Dr.s instructions to let him relax and be in a safe, calm place, our went from shaking and not eating to playing and eating all his food. To say I am relieved to see the turn around and see our guy on the road to recovery is an understatement. I will definitely be back! read more

I've got nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff here and after an experience like mine, anyone would feel the same. My 11 year old Dachshund lost all sensation in his hind legs. It was overnight & 2 weeks after we'd lost our cat. I was a mess. We'd taken him to Urban Animal in Seattle who told us surgery was the only answer. I called my brother who told me to call Evergreen. Despite being booked up on a weekend, they made a spot for me right away. I rushed over there and talked to Dr. Wilcock. She confirmed it, my little boy had no deep pain. The recommendation is surgery within 24 hours and that could run between 8 to 10k with a 50% chance of recovery. I asked if there was anything else that could be done and she immediately went to check with her colleagues. She came back and said we could try conservative therapy. We could leave our little guy there and they'd monitor him. They'd give him a variety of medications and the goal was to see if that made a difference but of course, no guarantees. $300+ later we put our faith in Evergreen. A day later he'd managed to chew off his weenie. That's right. My wiener dog chewed off part of his weenie overnight. It wasn't anyone's fault. He couldn't feel and didn't know when to stop but my heart dropped because the #1 thing we were thinking about was his potential quality of life. Dr. Wilcock stayed by our side and kept trying. She was the voice of reason AND remained empathetic. Not once did she avoid tough conversations but she also didn't stop trying. 7 days later no change except that it seemed he had a little muscle definition. His weenie was still raw but luckily didn't stop him from urinating (which would've been another problem all together). He still couldn't walk. He couldn't stand but we brought him back home and followed their directions to the T. Medication, cone on his head, bath tub therapy, bicycle exercises, massages, confinement, puppy pads, and lots of cleaning. 2 weeks later his tail started twitching and he could stand! Another week and he was flopping side to side while he tried to walk. We still took him to the recommended neurologist and he told us we were lucky. They didn't believe that he'd gone from no deep pain to walking. The next time we took him for his follow up, Dr. Wilcock had tears in her eyes she couldn't believe it. She brought in the staff that helped take care of him and the amount of love that poured in that room was indescribable. Veterinarians, in my opinion, have some of the toughest jobs. Yeah, they get to deliver great news but they also have to deliver extremely hard news. There's only so much that can be done for our furry companions & as their owners, it can be hard to accept what we hear. But these guys are the real deal. They will try for you but they will also give you their professional opinion and you have to trust that. They are not in the business of hurting animals. They are in the business of helping them and helping you. I will not go anywhere else. They've got my loyalty forever. Dr. Roth, Dr. Roberts, Dr. Wilcock are wonderful. All different. Each their own type of Doctor but still Doctors I trust. And if this story makes you take a chance on them, ask them about that dachshund that chewed of his weenie. He's a legend now.. All jokes aside. Put your faith in Evergreen. I've done it countless times now. This is just one example. read more

We have been bringing our rescue great dane here since we adopted her 2.5 years ago. We love Dr. Iverson. Pros: Great vets with giant breed experience. Never rush you through an appointment. Never try and up-sell you high priced and unnecessary drugs, procedures etc. Compared to other vets we've tried, very reasonably priced. Cons: Personally, my only complaint is that it's nearly impossible to get an appointment here on short notice, especially with your own vet. I actually switched vets temporarily (and with great sadness) because of this- though did switch back (see pros above =D). They don't have an on-site lab (though my experience is that it's not like this saves you money so- no biggie to me). Their office is in an older building. To me, the vet is what's important- the building much less so- but ymmv on that point. I drive 45 minutes to take my pooch here and it's totally worth it. read more

As a 1st time pet owner, I was referred to Evergreen by family and the shelter ( another YELP 5-Star business* Homeward Bound*). *Snoop* did very well with Dr. Ingal- who is obviously experienced & gentle. She put little kitty right at ease inspecting eyes, nose and ears & administering shots. (insert sad face) Clean & quiet environment- there are even signs posted to turn OFF cell phones! LOVE. IT. I've been going to Evergreen Vet Hospital for many years, and their service has been consistently great! Their facilities are always spotless, and the staff very friendly and professional. I brought my Frenchie in for what I feared was a luxating patella. I showed up at my appointment time and was ushered right in without waiting. Dr. Featherstone carefully examined Cosette and suspected the luxating patella, but took x-rays and had a colleague look at them as well. She then came back and thoroughly explained her findings to me, which thankfully did not include a recommendation for surgery. I really appreciated the time she took to answer all of my questions, and especially the fact that she conferred with a colleague. A second opinion for free, essentially! We were sent home with some anti-inflammatory meds and advice as to monitoring Cosette's progress. I've always been very happy with Evergreen, and will continue to take my pets there. read more

He's doing great now and off all meds. I still greatly respect Dr. Iverson's knowledge of the Great Dane, but it's really hard to get an appointment with him. We ended up seeing another vet in the practice, who was okay but didn't really seems confident in treating a non-textbook disease. read more

They were fine when our dog was well, but after taking him there since birth, they failed to provide any end of life care. We called Tuesday morning because he can no longer stand up and it's sadly time to put him to sleep. It's now Thursday night and we've had no callback from the vet despite being told two days in a row they would call at the end of the day. It is heart wrenching to realize it's time to say goodbye to a beloved pet and we expected some compassion and care and instead we were ignored. We ended up reaching out to a pet hospice/end of life company that will be coming to our house instead. Completely unacceptable and disappointing. read more

We were recommended this place by the Rescue Shelter, Caesars Foster Care. We decided to go back because we needed a follow up to a pre-existing intestinal problem our newly adopted pet had. We were actually trying to get a semi-emergency appointment made on a Saturday. At first they could not accomodate us and we ended up making an appointment for over a week later, but I received a call back in 15 minutes, from Dr. Wilcock herself, asking about the symptoms our puppy was having. She gave me advice on what to feed him and what to watch for. Then she decided to squeeze me in between appointments early for the very next Monday because she felt the problem might need sooner treatment. It turns out that by Monday, our puppy had less symptoms and was feeling much better, so we ended up cancelling our appointment for that day. But by Wednesday, he had thrown up and seemed to be worse again, so we called and were able to get in at 7:30 that evening. I couldn't have been happier with the service we received there. The receptionist was extremely nice in getting all our new paperwork set up. Dr. Wilcock was phenomenal. She was wonderful with our puppy, knew how to handle him, as a Vet should know, and we did not have to wait long at all for her to come in the examination room. I had brought all sorts of questions with me concerning our new puppy, some related to his current health issues, some not. She answered them all with the same detail and helpfulness. We decided after our first visit that we will be returning here and making Dr. Wilcock our regular Vet. While we were there, one of the staff members told the Dr. that someone had called and their pet was not moving around, just laying down all day long. She asked who it was and immediately said she would make a house-call, it was an older dog and she thought it might be a serious injury. Keep in mind, it was at least 8:00pm by this time. This is the type of Vet that really cares and takes her job seriously. I am very happy to have started off with such a great Dr. OVERAL Staff is great and very friendly Doctor, at least one, is phenomenal and VERY accomodating! My cats have always received wonderful care at this clinic. Have tried in years past to find a feline vet closer to home and that didn't work so well. We now have 2 senior cats that are both being treated for elderly cat issues and Dr Iverson takes wonderful care of them. Just wish he would work more hours. read more

I received great service from Evergreen Veterinary Hospital from day one. After switching from a Vet that squeezed every nickel and dime out of me and showed no compassion for animals, I really think I have found the BEST Vet hospital there is. My 17 y/o cat had long term asthma/bronchitis, so throughout the last few years, my cat has seen almost, if not all, of the doctors that work at Evergreen. Dr. Sabey is incredibly sharp and I wouldn't doubt her opinion for one second (she is my regular vet doctor). Through emergency visits, I have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Iverson and Dr. Engl. My cat's health started to fail, so I ended up seeing Dr. Iverson for a same-day visit on a Saturday. After hearing my cat's history, he caught up on my cat's condition and medical history instantly and knew exactly what to do. It turned out that my cat was extremely dehydrated needed IV fluids. Dr. Iverson spent a long time teaching me how to do this myself..but it was still intimidating. So, he actually gave me his cell phone number and we met the next day at the closed hospital while he was making his rounds (mind you it was Superbowl Sunday) and he gave my cat IV fluids and said that I could come in another day and the technician could teach me how to do it myself and pick up the supplies. The next day, my cat was doing worse and I walked in with no appointment and the Vet set me up to meet with the technician. I don't remember her name but she was the most caring and warm-hearted woman I've met in a long time; very comforting. She sent me home with plenty of supplies. The vet didn't charge me for either of these two (emergency) visits or for the supplies....can you believe it? The next day, my cat was doing worse and without an appointment, I met with Dr. Engl and we decided to put my cat down. Dr. Engl did an amazing job at handling the situation, she looked me in the eyes and was caring. I really couldn't ask for anything more from them, they are always thinking of how to save you money without you even having to ask. THEY ARE AMAZING!!! read more

I was so touched by the caring & kindness of everyone that I came in contact with in this Animal Hospital. Very professional and quick. My cat was very upset and I expressed that to them and they did not even make me wait till my actual appointment. They let me immediately go to a private room, which was a huge relief and comfort for me. My cat was very old and very sick, Dr. Ben (do not remember his last name, sorry) was so kind... he explained the options of trying to heal my cat and the time and expense. So, I had all the information to make my decision. When I did make it, he was just so kind and comforting. This was so rough, I am so thankful! My cat was so comfortable with him also, which is so not like my cat at all. I just cannot say enough about how impressed I was going here. When I left, they were just all so sympathetic and kind. read more

The price is fair. I definitely do not like the reception staff that was at the desk the times I took my dog there. The doctor was nice and knowledgeable. I felt that when my dog was fixed he could have been in better care and it's in my opinion that they didn't listen to me. I was shocked they would ask if I wanted my dog to get pain killers after his operation because I would think it cruel to not give him pain killers, it shouldn't be an option. Maybe the whole thing was just to traumatic for me and the lack of social skills the girls at the desk had that day really didn't help. Ok, let's be honest ... we all love our furry family members and probably would spend WAY more than we should on them at the vet but there is a difference between spending a lot and getting squeezed for all you have by your local vet. Quick summary of Vet that shall remain unnamed: We wanted our cats tooth pulled and in one quick exam (they didn't even look at the tooth), we were handed about $967 worth of recommended services. We ran out of there so fast we almost forgot our cat. HAHA! That is where YELP came in... we found Evergreen on Yelp, read the reviews and set our expectations. First visit exceeded our expectations! The front desk staff was far more pleasant than Yelp reviewers lead us to expect. Doctor Cullen was thorough and kind and never once recommended anything that wasn't necessary. She observed the issues we came in for and gave us her recommendations which were completely within our abilities. Prices were FAIR! The dental appointment we needed wasn't full of alacarte services and unnecessary tests, it was all included as one service and about 1/4 of what we were quoted. Seriously. Dental appointment day arrived and again, great service from both front desk staff, nurse and doctor. Excellent communication from the clinic all day while I wondered how my cat was doing. Picked him up and all was good! We definitely found our family vet. read more

I have been using a different vet do to financial issues but the place I go doesn't do cremations so I call these guys as I had used them previously and thought they were great. I've been a client for over 20 years and have always been so impressed with their compassion toward my animals and professional service. I just recently had my terrier need an emergency surgery 3 times in 4 months abs I knew I was in the best hands in those stressful situations. I can't imagine how much more time it takes for them to take your animals from your car and do paperwork because of Covid but they are outside in the rain and cold. Multiple phone calls to get a prescription refilled and the vet didn't update my dogs chart after a conversation that cutting back his medication didn't work. My dog is really old, he should be comfortable and she was fine with it but didn't write it down and doesn't remember me or my dog. And frankly calling four times to get a prescription refilled shows a lack of organization and an inability to follow up promotly. That's not a good sign. read more

I've been going to this vet for years and it's about time I left my review. Big shout out to this clinic!! My dog was nipped at the dog park and they were able to fit us in their busy schedule on a Saturday. While this isn't always possible they put forth every effort to help in this type of situation. The wound was deep enough that it needed medical attention sooner than later. I initially went to a different vet since we were over 45 min away when it happened. That vet said my dog needed to be sedated and given stitches, an estimate of over $400! I called this clinic and my pup was out of there in 30 min with 3 staples and antibiotics at under 1/2 the cost of what the other vet told me. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my pup!! We just moved into town and were looking for a new vet. After reading much reviews we narrowed it down to Evergreen Vet Hospital and another on in Kirkland. We decided to make an appointment with Evergreen Vet and it was a good experience. Dr. Ivereson was very knowledgeable and actually told us things about our two dogs that no other vet has mentioned (like that one has different eyes and can't see as well in nightvision) just by looking at his eyes and because they glow red in the lights. Seems basic stuff, why didn't anyone ever mention that before? also, he found 2 cysts on one of our little guys which previous vets told us were just pimples. He gave us advise on how to treat before they become a problem. Very pleased so far with Evergreen vet and will be going back. read more

Today was my first visit to Evergreen Animal Hospital with my new puppy. I was worried that they would try to push lots of vaccines and flea products down my throat, like some vets do, but the vet I saw was very conservative and knowledgable about vaccines. The facility was relatively clean but located in an older building so there was some inherent grime. The floors were slimy in the waiting room, maybe too much cleaning product because they didn't -look- dirty, just felt slippery and slimy to walk on. The new puppy exam ran $60.50, which is a reasonable price for a legit vet. The biggest reason this vet gets 3 stars instead of 4 is that I had an early appointment, the place was deserted, I showed up 15 minutes early to get checked in, and still they were almost 20 minutes late getting me into the vet. Also, their laid out commonly used bottles in the exam room were all sort of grimy looking, which definitely does not encourage thoughts of decent sanitary practices. Lastly, the reception staff seemed a little standoffish and not especially friendly or informative to a new client. I will return to this vet again because I liked the -actual- veterinarian. As a side note, we all know vets take pets as clients, we don't need to see pictures of your lame a** pets under this business. You know that saying, "a face only his mother could love"? read more

Had to bring my dog in on two separate occasions now and both times had good experiences with 2 different vets there. I want to start this by stating we really liked the care my dog received from Dr. Warren. My dog was not acting himself and we made an appointment to get him looked at, after a few tests he was diagnosed with Diabetes. He needed to start insulin. We discussed with Dr. Warren that he would come in to be monitored for a few days, to see what his dosage of insulin would be at, this was a Saturday and we were told to make the appointment for Tuesday so that we had time to get his insulin at the pharmacy as our pharmacist would need to order it. We told them what our pharmacy was multiple times. I called the pharmacy on the way to pick up the prescription on Monday after work, the pharmacy stated that they never received the orders from the Vets office. My husband called to notify them, stated that we were told it would be sent on Saturday, we were notified by the assistant, " Well we were very busy on Saturday". Excuse me? That is a horrific thing to say to someone who is just trying to get their dog the care he needs, also not professional, OR a good excuse at that. If you cannot handle the fire, maybe you are in the wrong line of work, and need to get out of the kitchen. She again confirmed which pharmacy we go to, they stated they would send it. Well it didn't get sent, pharmacist stated there is nothing they can do day of as they needed the orders and also needed to special order it. We called again, assistant again tells us they are sending it, THEN tries to confirm our appointment the next day ( Tuesday) reminding us of the early morning drop off time. My husband told them we're obviously not going to be able to make the appointment work now, she was confused why not, and he reminded her that this is the whole reason we are trying to get the insulin prescription filled..so our dog can have it for his stay at their office. She changed the appointment for Wednesday. Well..guess what..the next day the pharmacy STILL did not get the orders for his insulin, in fact they notified my husband's that they would try to send to a whole other pharmacy. We were done at that point. We found a local Vet who got our dogs orders, we were immediately able to schedule a next day appointment, get in, get trained about our dogs diabetes care and started insulin treatments that night...no hassle. Again, we really enjoyed seeing Dr. Warren, it's sad she lost a client because the office is very disorganized. read more

We've been taking our cats to Evergreen for 20+ years! Dr. Iverson, Dr. Roberts and Dr. Cullen are awesome. Very personable and treated our animals like they were their own. Unfortunately we had a very negative experience with Dr. Roth. She was extremely was cold and insincere. When we were told by an emergency clinic that our 3 year old cat needed dental work, Dr. Roth told us right away that they didn't have the X-rays to do the work that was needed. (Despite what the front desk said when I made the appointment and asked.) Without even looking in our cat's mouth thoroughly, she said we were going to need to have ALL of his teeth removed. She gave us an estimate for thousands of dollars, even though she assured us that they wouldn't be able to do a complete job without the dental X-rays. When I asked her if she could refer us to another clinic to do the work, she firmly said no. She said she wasn't familiar with any other clinics in the area because she's only lived here for a year. Isn't that part of her job? Really disappointed. Fortunately a friend referred us to the Canyon Park who ended up doing a cleaning and extracting only 2 teeth. If you sogo to Evergreen, be sure you ask which vet is available for an appointment. Update 11/2019: Dr. Roth has since left the practice. We recently saw Dr. Iverson and had exceptional service. He takes his time with the animals which is nice. Schedule an appointment in the morning or you're going to end up waiting. This is a hard review to write. It's gonna be a long one but I encourage ALL to read. After doing much research on having my Great Dane's stomached tacked during her routine spay I chose to come here. Price was not a concern. I was looking for the best care and most knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian for this surgery. Numerous other Dane owners had highly recommended DR. Iverson as well as many reviewers here on yelp. My experience....The receptionist's behind the counter are like robots. They are unfriendly and lack basic common sense. They are uncaring and inconsiderate. Overall Rude. The vet tech which I have unfortunately had to deal with on 3 separate occasions is the absolute most unpleasant woman I have met.(she's a bit on the older side) She doesn't hesitates to be blunt with you and criticize you on your pet. I'm all for advice, however being rude and in a sense dumbing one down is unacceptable and very unprofessional. She is also the one who clipped Clover's nails so short that the quick was exposed on more than half of them. ...(see photo). Just because a pet is still under anesthesia does not give any one the right to butcher their nails. And lastly I brought Clover's crate pad with her and asked that it be kept with her after surgery. The tech said "we prefer not to use patients own bedding because they tend to soil it". I had no problem with her having an accident on it...just wanted her to have something familiar while away from home. Long story short they didn't use her pad. Still tucked away in her to go bag. Dr. Iverson has a wealth of knowledge on giant breeds..Dane's especially. While I don't feel he knows as much about nutrition as I'd like I can over look that. I think he did a great job on the surgery for Clover and is very courteous and professional. This is why it's so hard to right such a poor review. But I think everyone should know about my experience. Never received any follow up phone calls that I was promised post surgery. Communication is definitely not a strong point for Evergreen Vet. I was also informed after her surgery that during the evening hours there is no one that stays with the pets during the rest of the evening. There is however someone who checks in on them 2x between closing and opening the next morning. This would have been nice to know prior to having the surgery completed. So Clover was all alone. (She is very shy and afraid on strangers so you can see my concerns). AND FINALLY! It took 2 weeks to get a total for the surgery. yes 2 weeks. And when we went back today to have Clover's stitches removed I showed the receptionist a picture of her nail's and they could have cared less. Yet again providing a poor customer experience. Surgery cost a little over $1,200. I'd have expected a little better service and care for my "kid" for the price paid. We will not be returning and will find a new place of veterinary care. It's really too bad that Evergreen has such awful staff considering how great Dr. Iverson is. Hope you find this review helpful. Don't be fooled by there near 5 star rating. read more

Update: After having our dog seen by a surgeon (that was actually recommended by Dr. Wilcox), the surgeon confirmed that our dog has developed a pressure sore due to the placement of the splints Evergreen Vet put on. He started developing a sore a couple weeks ago during his 2nd or 3rd resplint at their office, but the vet said it would be fine with antibiotics and proceeded to rewrap his leg and use the same splint! Dr. Wilcox AND Dr. Roberts said his sore and problems with his splint were caused by his licking and activity. Pressure sores/ulcers are caused by PRESSURE, not licking (besides, he's been wearing a cone and cannot lick himself)! He now has a gaping wound due to their negligence and is on even more antibiotics. As a result, he can no longer wear a splint and will require surgery. I am so incredibly disappointed with Evergreen Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Wilcox, and Dr. Roberts. I do NOT recommend this place to anybody! They haven't even attempted to call back or compensate us for their negligence. 2nd UPDATE 09/06/13: Dr. Iverson called last night to apologize for our terrible experience and the way we were treated by Dr. Roberts. He was very professional and seemed sincere. He didn't make any excuses. Instead, he acknowledged that they were in the wrong and should not have spoken to us like that, nor should we have had so many problems with the splint placements. It is for this reason that I've increased the rating I'm giving Evergreen Veterinary Hospital to 2 stars instead of 1. Taking accountability for your actions, being decent and respectful, and knowing and accepting when you're in the wrong goes a long way. There is absolutely no excuse for ever treating a client with disrespect and making false accusations/assumptions. Although I appreciate Dr. Iverson's phone call, I cannot get past the way Dr. Roberts treated us and that she didn't call us herself to apologize. Thus, if we ever return, we will only be seeing Dr. Iverson or the other owner. Thank you Dr. Iverson for your decency! read more

Really displeased with the staffs level or professionalism and friendliness. How evergreen vet has nearly 5 stars will remain a mystery to me. Vet techs were unfriendly and also clipped my dogs nails way to short. Quite a disappointment considering reviews I read prior to going. read more

I was looking for a vet for our new puppy we rescued. He was pretty sick when we brought him home, and had a history of kennel cough, giardia, worms, and was underweight. The vet pretty much just looked at him and gave him a vaccination. She was friendly but not nearly thorough enough. She didn't even listen to his heart or lungs with a stethoscope. I took our puppy to another vet about two weeks later when I suspected giardia. At the new vet, the doctor checked him all over thoroughly, looking at his bite, nails, eyes, eyelash development, knees, umbilical area etc. Seeing the difference between my new awesome vet and how we were treated at evergreen vet hospital made it very clear how substandard the care was at evergreen vet. read more
