In my opinion, the staff at the Vienna/Tyson's office is very friendly and always seem to genuinely care about how I am doing on the program. It's a very positive environment. When I walked into the office I was told to pay $8. I pointed out that I had never been there before and wasn't even sure what the fee was for. The woman then rushed me into a room and took some vitals. She never talked to me about the process or even provided an overview of what to expect during my first visit. I had to ask probing questions to get any information. It was a bit jarring. From there I met with a Nurse Practitioner. She asked a bunch of health questions to determine if I was a candidate for a medical weight-loss drug; this occurred after I told her that I was not interested in taking medication. She said she had to talk to me about it because I may need it in the future. From there, she reviewed my scan results and told me how many calories I needed to consume in a day. I was never asked about my lifestyle, goals, activity levels or what I needed support with. She was not warm or friendly at all. She presented very judgy even though she was overweight herself. Next, as they walked me to the next room, I was told that they were printing my meal plan which was mind-blowing to me because I shared zero details about my diet (vegetarian) and haven't even talked to the dietitian yet. In the room, there was a computer set up with the dietitian who WAS ON ZOOM. Weight loss is personal and should be custom. This was very much a cookie cutter process and felt scam-y. They force you to meet with both the NP and dietitian each session which I'm sure is so they maximize their insurance charges. Stay away.

Personally, I wasn't interested or really planning on getting a coach because I thought I knew a lot about the ins and outs of lifting. Kevin asked me to have a training session with him and I agreed because I thought it would be pretty cool to lift with a guy like him. While there I went through my normal warmup routine to work up to a heavy single on deadlifts then doing back off sets. I was then told by Kevin that I was yanking on the bar which I didn't think I was. He proceeded to then tell me everything that was wrong with my form, knowing of his extensive background, I wasn't going to tell him that he was wrong. He pulled me aside and basically retaught me all the basics of a proper deadlift form from bracing all the way to pulling. I was so impressed by the end of this that I ended up booking a one on one session with him to fix my form for my other main lifts. Kevin himself, has a strong background, having competed on a national stage and multiple high level competitions in his elite powerlifting career. He has helped me fixed my form for all my main lifts, it is still work in progress to break my old habits, but I feel a lot stronger and more fluid in my movements. Kevin is dedicated to his craft and has a sharp eye to point out flaws and fix them in his clients to deliver the best results. The gym itself isn't the largest space around however it is meant for clients and isn't an open gym. It offers the best equipment around for their clients to borrow and use for their training from belts (lever and prong), bands, squat shoes, calibrated plates, collars, competition racks etc. Even though I've only been with Kevin as my coach, I can tell from seeing the other trainers that they genuinely care and are dedicated to helping and improving their clients in any way they can. Every single person is here incredibly qualified to do their job and I would recommend True Fitness and Nutrition to anyone out there.

My favorite addition to all facial treatments is an LED lamp which costs very reasonable price with my mambarship! What I especially love about this place is that aestheticians at BioLux always listen to my needs and wishes (that sometimes are not at all clear to myself) with great attention and respect and offer the options that work best for me.
