Obviously the origin of the restaurant has been changed since the last preview. This is a seafood…read morerestaurant. No steaks. Mezes are served as Tapas, which are perfect. Fish coming from local fishermen daily, which is a gift, octopus, kalamari, muscels are fresh and professionally cooked. Nice environment but no sea view. This is an alley restaurant. I can say one of the best in Kas. There is a nice bar next to it and playing easy listenin music, which accompany you with your meal. If you choose to sit at the backyard you will have live Turkish traditional music. Highly recommended if in Kas.

I would call this place an experience. As two Americans traveling in Turkey, we assumed Chez Evy…read morewould be some kind of French-Turkish fusion. Not so. The menu was mostly Mexican with some Texan thrown in (lots of Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce). Being that we can get enchiladas and fajitas around every corner in the states, we went for the lamb special and the steak au poivre dishes. The lamb fell off the bone and was delicious, sauce was a little odd mixed with lamb, but also very good; even the rice was well seasoned. I was asked how I wanted my steak cooked, I said medium-rare, I'd call what I got blue, but the sauce was delicious, I just couldn't eat it all as it was very chewy. Both dishes came with strange sides - a small taco salad shell filled with steamed cauliflower and broccoli, potatoes, like a Jo-Jo, and an onion ring on top. Like I said, an experience, and just not what we were expecting. We had gone in having read a good review on it in fodor's and didn't bother to look at the menu on our way in, but hey, "Chez" anything implies French in my book, not Mexican. The courtyard in the back was beautiful, the servers were all very nice. The lamb and rice delicious, steak underdone but a wonderful sauce, and the vegetables underwhelming and confusing. I wouldn't personally go back not wanting Mexican in Turkey, but I will say we will never forget our meal! The confusion on both our faces was priceless!
