I did a wine flight and my boyfriend did one of the wine and soft serve sundaes. This was such a cool and unique offering and the flavors actually paired so well together! The space is really vibey- lots of photo opps and cool art. We were tucked away in our own little couch area and it felt like we were at a cool club or something. Very hip, trendy, but still classic and lovely wines. The staff was top notch, super friendly and helpful. Love the new location! It's bright, colorful, spacious with lots of nooks with seating so you can have a more intimate experience. The bar looks out over the river and gorgeous view, in the summer it would be fun to sit there and watch the windsurfers. The patio out front is fabulous with heaters, blankets, a fire pit with lots of seating areas and dog friendly (outside only.) Really appreciate the variety of flights. You can choose all white, all red or two of each. The names of the wines are teasingly scandalous and so much fun! The wines were good, I particularly liked the cab and zin since I prefer bolder reds. Service was friendly and attentive but not in any way pushy. It was our third stop of the day and we didn't purchase any bottles this time, but definitely will be back. They have their own parking lot in the back making it super convenient. Naked Winery is the quintessential millennial wine experience. The wines won't blow you away but Naked doesn't specialize in any certain varietal of wine so you can try a Tempranillo alongside a Pino Gris or sweet(!) gewurztraminer. All the wines are named with sexual innuendos, like Missionary, Oh! Orgasm, and Penetration. Totally risqué and catering towards an open minded clientele who don't take themselves (and their wine) too seriously. They also sell merch so when your friends back home ask you "omg what is naked winery? do you get naked and drink wine?" you can say "yeah sort of". Just kidding, but some of these pieces are definitely a conversation starter. Wines range from $25-$80 a bottle. Clothing merch ranges from $20-$40. Service is good and hosts are hands off for the most part. They let the tasting notes speak for themselves and let you get to drinking, none of that "let me introduce you to your selection tonight" spiel. The tasting room is super cute and they have both the inside and outdoor patio open for socially distanced service. Cool experience. If you're in the area (and can appreciate millennial culture), stop by for an hour or two. read more

Yes, this place is a little hokey... the names and descriptions on each bottle make you giggle and blush. The tasting experience was a fun and enjoyable. Blew away my expectations. For $15 we received 8 pours plus a bonus pour and a free glass. Our favorite was the Booty Call Blush. We even bought a bottle to take home to enjoy with dinner. Some of their styles are produced in plastic bottles perfect for hiking. I love this alternative style! Our server gave great descriptions of each wine and was very attentive. They have a great selection and they also have plates of snacks that blend with the wine. This was definitely, on average, the worst wine we tried during our day trip out to Hood River. I have absolutely had much worse wine than this, but if I'm paying $15 for a tasting, I expect the wine to be pretty good wine, and most of the wines we tried were solidly "ok". They tasted like maybe 8-12 dollar wines in quality, but were being sold for around 30 dollars - they mostly just tasted flabby. We were able to redeem the yelp checkin for 2-for-1 tasting and use it to try one sweet flight and one regular flight so we could try all of their wines, which if the wines were better, I would have been really happy about, but after having tried all of them, there were only a couple I thought tasted anything like their price point (the Symphony was decent, as were their Chardonnays). I felt like in general, they were relying a bit too much on people wanting their bottles due to the semi-risque logo and titles, and not caring about the quality of the actual wines as much as they should. read more

There is a new wine house in town so Hood River is getting hot. Naked Winery used to be directly downtown. Don't fret or cry (like I almost did) when you see it's gone and "for lease". Just down the road on the west side of town - lies a cute little old house that has been refurbished into this charming and magical winery. Modern, colorful, and fun, this is a place you will want to check out. With a complete transformation, they remodeled this little house to have several sitting areas for wine and chocolate and a complete bar too. Wine tastings are now $15 a flight, but if you purchase an Oregon Wine tasting passport - they are buy one, get one free BOGO (they used to be completely free though with the passport). Wine members also receive complimentary tastings. We received two complimentary tastings and a cheese plate with a coupon I had won at a wine festival. With the $15 flight, you also receive a wine glass, cheesy goldfish crackers, and dark chocolate drops with your tasting. I think their wine has improved over the years. Their sweet wines definitely taste better chilled. I absolutely love the new tasting house and will definitely be back. I learned that they recently closed their McMinnville location to devote time and energy to building a new location in Vancouver, Washington. I used to love tasting in McMinnville so this was a bit sad to hear. Check out the cheeky wine names and their sweet red. You won't regret it. read more

It's been a couple years since I was last in Hood River and I remember this place was in a different spot before and also the branding was a bit different. I never got to check it out when they were at their old spot, but the new location in the little house is so fun! Honestly they nailed it with their new branding - the fonts, labels, menu all really resonated with me as a 'millennial'. We visited during covid times, and they even have a cute little mural on the wall when you walk in that gives a nod to being 6 feet apart. There was seating out front, inside and it looked like they had a rather large back patio which I wouldn't have guessed by looking at the front of the house. This would be a great place to visit with girlfriends or I can see it being popular with bachelorette parties because it seems very 'instagrammable' Their tasting flights here were a little more pricey than other places, but they come on a cute pallet with a card to add tasting notes, etc. and you they give you a souvenir glass. read more

On 10-28-22, we drove from SE Portland to Hood River and planned on getting a bottle of Merlot at Evoke Winery prior to shopping. We arrived about1:45 on a Friday afternoon. The place was not at all busy.There was one couple doing a wine tasting and another couple enjoying a glass of wine. We stood by the door for longer than necessary before the only person we saw working came by to tell us their menu was at the bar and for us to decide what we wanted. We seated ourselves on a couch off to the right where we have sat the last two times. The gal came in with water and 2 glasses and we asked for a bottle of the Merlot. She replied that they were currently out of the Merlot. We then asked for a sample of the Syrah and Red Blend so we could make a comparason for our second choice. She hesitated and acted like it was really going to be an extra effort for her to do that! While we were waiting for our samples, another couple came in, sat down, ordered and RECEIVED their wine while we were still waiting for our samples! After about another 5 - 8 minutes we decided there were plenty of other places close by to purchase wine. Neither of us will be going back to Evoke Winery! We left before she came back and we are so happy we did. We found a great little place just down the street and had a wonderful time! If you are the face of the Company, put on a smile and put your own troubles away and do your part to make the customer feel welcome! read more

We went back today to pick up our scheduled delivery and everything was much more sedate than when we went to complete our pick up in September. I was amazed at how few people were in the entire place. Whereas, the last time we were there it was standing room only. I can only think extending the pick up time over two weekends and the rainy weather played a role. For whatever the reason, I'm grateful. As a member we stop by Naked Winery anytime we pass through. I've never been more impressed by somebody at Naked Winery til we met Nick! This guy, was friendly, engaging, and knew all about the wine! We usually grab a bottle or two but left with 12 additional bottles! Nick made our weekend in Hood River even better by just being honest. He recommended great stuff - such as the alpine slide, food and breweries! This guy deserves a promotion! read more

Do not get their membership, they will give you the run around trying to cancel it. We had been members for 6+ years. I canceled my membership at the tasting room, or so I thought, was charged again the next quarter. They told me that it's always been their policy that you have to call or email to cancel, that would have been nice to know. We had 2 subscriptions with them, they reversed one as a "courtesy" but still charged the second one and refused to reverse it. I would think they would want to part on good terms so that I might come back someday. Guess not. While we enjoyed their wine we will not be going back and we would not recommend them to anybody. read more

We stopped in with my Nephew on his recommendation. We had a GREAT time and loved the wines. Jade was the perfect ambassador for the tasting room and definitely made it very fun - so fun that we joined the wine club and left with a case+ of wine. I would definitely stop by if you are close. I am a wine club member here so I might be a little biased in my opinion. We love to visit, taste, and take home wine from Naked Winery! We have visited almost all of the tasting rooms as this is one of our favorites. The old building gives it a great charm. We love the big tasting bar and the members only area. Another plus is that they are dog friendly. This visit was in the middle of July and it was almost 100 out so we would not have been able to visit if our dog was not welcome. The wine is always fun and good tasting too! The tasting atmosphere is fun for couples, friends, or parties - I only wished I lived closer to take advantage of the fun more often! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I am attempting to bring legal action to this business by intentionally know I was in there to do a flight and said I was not interested in membership. The hostess Jade then proceeded to go through the flight and on the 4/8 one i told her i was feeling quite intoxicated. She filled my glasses more then at the end when o could barely see she tried to shove the membership contract down my throat. She fully took advantage of me when I didmt know wtf was going on and the company does not want to claim their fault at all saying the customer is always wrong and they trust their employees. Well this employee did something very illegal. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AS THEY MAY TRICK YOU TOO into a contract that you cant get out of without paying hundreds more to get out of it. This response is exactly the point. They dpnt care about customers, only to band together like a gang and rip people off. Its cool, it will catch up to you one day. read more

To be fair, it's only getting a 3 because of the other wineries in the area. Naked is a fun place to visit, especially with a large group, but it's always packed. They have enough varieties that everyone will find something they like. Honestly I think that might be the problem for me. Everything was just fine, nothing made me want to buy a bottle. I also think the names of said wines are over the top, which I suppose is the point. Anyway, fun place for a group but if you're trying to find something phenomenal I'd skip it. read more
