But she never asked questions relating to my lifestyle and presentation, in fact I felt she was quite judgemental and disapproving, which was not at all helpful. Could have saved me a lot of pain and help to avoid placing myself in dangerous situations had she taken the time to delve a little and ask a few questions. I never forgot this, it had such a huge impact on my life, not having anyone who cared enough to take an interest and have a chat.

I did quick search on Google for GP's in my area and came across plenty of reviews on Dr Linda Morton highlighting her supportive and family oriented approach. Taking your baby to get a needle jabbed in her arm isn't the pleasant of experience as any new mum will confirm. The doctor was gentle and quick which I appreciated but wasn't as warm and welcoming as I'd have liked given it was my first visit. I felt a bit rushed and walked out not feeling compelled to go back. My community nurse recommended another doctor in the area. Dr Morton is good for those who like the old home style feel rather than a clinical polished surgery.

My wife had scars from the first pregnancy with…read moreanother doctor as it was supex complex, and she never wanted a second child given the worst experience and issues with our 1st born.We made an appointment with Dr. Arifa Khan, for a desire to have a second child for given complexities seen in 1st born, she gave us the roadmap and asked us to come back after thinking in 6 weeks if we want to move forward with the pathway advised.Dr. Khan did IVF after reviewing our various results iand reports (almost 1 year of complex testing by other specialists in Westmead Hospital) where our bloods were sent to the US for detail testing. It took us almost 2 years to reaxh our goal, and we could say she is a real blessing. She was so empathetic, experienced, and wonderful in every appointment of my wife's high-risk pregnancy, which she enjoyed this time and was working till 2 weeks before delivery. Dr.Khan picked up issues encountered quickly, tacked them, and delivered us a healthy young baby this Feb. She is God sent to deliver our firstborn 's well awaited sibling after 6 years. We both believe she is impeccable in whatever she does and even her staff Jeya and Meredith are so awesome,polite, passionate and lovely. We thank her from the bottom of our heart and yes, Dr. Khan, you are the best obstetrician in SAN and Norwest and possibly Sydney. You even saved us heaps by recommending us the swaddle program. Now, for those folks with negative reviews who say they feel rushed with Dr. Khan, go to your GP for questions, not a specialist obstetrician. Specialists are busy, and they are human, too. Don't judge a book by its cover in the first appointment, You are at a loss. Our 2 year journey is evidence and had almost 50% success initially, but with Dr. Khan's passion and knowledge, we have a baby in our hands, making it 100%! The standard of care and expertise of my main psychiatrist is first-rate, visits are easy, enjoyable, and supportive, leaving me feeling fortunate to be under the care of St. John of God, Burwood. The office is staffed by a team of pleasant, efficient, helpful receptionists--tip: best to phone Reception at 9:00 am as there is sometimes a phone queue. The blonde receptionist was rude, uncaring, projecting negativity and asking too many sensitive questions in front of an audience of both males and females in their waiting room. I understand that how she 'treats others' is coming from a place inside her and its about who she is and not how others are. Because of such a heart felt experience today upon arrival there, i have chosen to NEVER return there ever again. I did speak to this receptionist when leaving and needing to hand back a form to any receptionist. I told her how i felt after her treating me with no respect and also no compassion at all. I then told her she was beautiful and that i sent her my love. Unless (wont name and shame her publicly) leaves or gets dismissed, i will never return there. I hope she LEARNS from this and my few words i gave to her about how to treat people and what is not considered acceptable when dealing with patients etc ... i wish her the best and hope she learns even one drop of wisdom from our meeting today. My regular destination for the ills…read more A strange set up, the waiting room serves also as a gallery for some of the worst up and coming artists in Sydney. It's a lot less generic and a lot more personal care than those horrible Mcmedical centres popping up everywhere. You know, a proper doctor's practice. The GPs are all fairly professional, speak good English and care about their patients overall well-being, not just an assembly line legal drug pusher's residence. They also have very good on site pathology and counseling services and they offer bulk-billing. Although booking ahead is essential, so not generally the best for a serious emergency. But if you live in the neighbourhood and need a good regular GP I'd definitely recommend them.

We had to arrive early in the morning but were then told to go out for an hour or two while we waited. I couldn't eat or drink but the nurse directed my parents towards some shops down the road. They then took my number down in case I had to come back earlier. The nurse tried to take my mind away from the thought of surgery and even let me wear my ugg boots into the operating room. I woke up and was transported back to my parents. Post care was also excellent. They would regularly check on me for a few hours before sending me on my way home. I highly recommend Hunters Hospital and their nurses to those who are anxious about surgery.

My mother has been living in this aged nursing home (Garrison Uniting Hostel in Mosman) for just…read moreover a year. The staff are absolutely wonderful - they see it all, and yet they remain pleasant and helpful always. Theresa, on the front desk, is constantly smiling and is willing to assist family as they adjust to their loved one settling into a place that, let's face it, none of us want to be. It's frightening for an elder to leave their own home and become part of an integrated community of frail people. Simply, they have to make the best of it. They don't have a choice as to who their fellow residents will be, so the staffing in a hostel is very important. I have found the Garrison Uniting Hostel really does try to make each resident fit in and feel comfortable. Is my mother excited to be there? No, but she's content knowing that she's in very good hands at this stage in her life. (Just as a suggestion, I would change the seating around for meals sometimes, as it would encourage different people to get to know one another. Otherwise they don't branch out to meet others. The facility my father stayed at in Lane Cove used to change the seating around every 6 weeks and this ensured that everyone mixed and he was able to find people he liked).
