We had a pipe leak outside in our sprinkler system so we turned off the water and called Exact Rooter. They came out the next day and did the assessment. My husband wanted the whole system including regulator, piping, faucet and shutoff valves. They were very professional, had great workmanship and were on time. They finished and we had to wait 24 hours before we could turn the water back on. They came back the next day and everything was working great and water back on. We wanted to swap out our shower faucet due to issues with it providing consistent hot water. We reached out to a few companies and Raul and another company seemed to be the most knowledgeable but only Raul remained responsive. He explained what our options were and the cost and we were quickly scheduled for the next business day. Our tech Steven was prompt and very friendly and was able to install the new set up without major issues. There was a hiccup when a chrome smitty plate was initially installed but our new faucet is brushed nickel. Steven called the warehouse and confirmed a plate in brushed nickel was available so he was able to pick it up and install that one instead. I asked for everything to be centered but the lever isn't centered but I'm unsure if it's the plate issue or since our tile had already been cut, there wasn't much that could've been done. Raul did follow-up the next day to see how everything went and was made aware of the lever not being centered. He did try to find another smitty plate that would be big enough and in brushed nickel to reinstall free of charge, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like one exists. Overall, service was great and at a reasonable price so we'd likely be using his services in the future. Definitely worth reaching out for a quote for plumbing issues. read more

Have you ever noticed that if you have an emergency that requires professional help -- it always happens on Friday evening or weekend? When it's hardest to get a plumber, or electrician, or a Doctor? I have. My kitchen sink drainage pipe clogged on a Friday night. Of course. Saturday I tried to fix it myself until I suspected it needed some rootering. For those who aren't aware -- Yelp offers users a free service that helps you find help fast. You simply create a Project and Yelp contacts quality vendors for you. No phone calls, no call backs. Within twenty minutes 4 of 5 vendors replied but only Exact was willing to share an upfront reasonable estimate. Exact and I secured a Sunday visit at 3. They offered earlier but we like to sleep later on Sundays. They had a cancellation and were available around 2 and we said sure. Steven and Michael showed up and got to work. We added a tiny extra job & a small extra job and they charged reasonably for both in a lump sum. The young men were friendly, professional, and not pushy. When I told them I had a whole house water filter I wanted to install, their eyes did NOT illuminate with dollar signs. (How refreshing.) Nor did they attempt to sell me their whole house filter product instead, a rude mistake made by two bigger local vendors. (You've seen their trucks.) I say rude because I made it clear to other vendors I already have the filter system purchase in my garage ($400 investment) and to expect me to eat that purchase to get a plumber's preferred system? Rude. EXACT fixed my drain issue and the guys were ready to go soon enough. They're a Mom and Pop operation (or really Pop and Sons) and there's nothing wrong with that when you feel your plumbing is in good hands. UPDATE: So good they won the filtration job. They beat the price of the town's more name brand vendors. Steven did such a good job I crossed town to get him a Double Burger Blvd Burger combo. (See my review.) We had a faucet that was leaking and heard it was probably the cartridge. My husband went to Loews and bought one. He installed it then went to errands, came back to find water on the floor. I requested a quote for a slow drain in both of my bathrooms, Raul the owner quoted me $100. The technician came, did one bathroom in 5 mins and then wanted to charge me another $100 for the second bathroom. I informed him that I was quoted $100 for both bathrooms, he replied "No, it's $100 for each bathroom" I got a hold of Raul and he stated that he "was driving and misquoted me but will charge me $50 for the second bathroom". No thank you. This was very unprofessional, I will not refer him or be a repeat customer. I intended to review these guys the first time they took care of me in short notice with a kitchen drain clogged beyond anything I could take care of on my own. They were fast, professional, and very reasonably priced. And when it clogged again a few months later, they handled it free of charge because it was within the warranty window, and we never had a problem since. The next time I needed them, we woke up to a geyser shouting out of our water pressure regulator, which had apparently worn out. They unclogged the toilet within minutes, and they charged us less because it turned out to be simpler than expected. And here's the thing: they could have gone through a more complicated process in order to charge the full estimate, and I never would have known the difference...BUT THEY DIDN'T! I recently had a leak from my kitchen sink that was leaking all over my countertops and underneath my sink. I used Raul several years ago when I was purchasing a home and was wondering about its plumbing. He scoped the line and used a camera to confirm the lines were in good shape. Extremely professional and efficient. Today I called Raul for a clog I had in my bathroom sinks (both sinks share the same main drain). I've used Raul and Exact Rooter & Plumbing previously for a clogged sink and sewer backup at my rental property in Loma Linda in 2019. This past weekend I was trying to replace the inside components for one of the toilets at the property. It's something that I've done before but this time I ran into an issue as one of the 3 screws that attaches the tank to the toilet bowl was frozen up. Knowing how fragile toilets can be, I decided that I needed a professional to assist. I went on Yelp and started calling plumbers to see if they were available to come on a Saturday but the ones I called weren't able to come to the property until Monday or even Wednesday. That wouldn't work as today was the last day I was going to be in town. I needed a solution today. That's when I remembered Exact Rooter & Plumbing and I had Raul's number saved in my mobile phone. I gave Raul a call, to which he picked up promptly and I described to him my toilet dilemma. He quoted me a fair price over the phone and said that he'd send his son over in the next hour. Score! Michael arrived and found that the screw/nut were stuck and needed to be cut. These were tools that I did not have available. Once cut/removed, he proceeded to finish the install of the Fluidmaster toilet kit that I had purchased at Lowe's. Thirty minutes later he cleaned up the area, wrote up the bill, which I signed for, then provided my credit card and he was out the door! Nothing is worse that poor management. If you schedule an appointment, and you're going to be late, you advise the customer before the appointment time. When they ask you how late, and you ignore their question, and they have to ask you again, that's an example of poor communication skills. Then when you finally answer the question with a 2 to 3 hour delay, well that's how you lose business and get a 1 star on yelp. I recommend using a more professional service. Raul at Exact Rooter & Plumbing is awesome. I have been using him for about 5 or 6 years now. He has saved me through a few clogged drains, a leak at the mother-in-law's, and has installed a clean out for me, since my home didn't have them to start. After he came out today, I realized I had never written a review for him. Today he came out to fix a problem that I had Ballards come out to fix TWICE. Even after 2 back-to-back trips they couldn't fix it. They were able to take my money just fine though, then tell me I had to pay again if I wanted them to come back out and actually fix the problem they never fixed to begin with. Oh yeah, he came out today with about 40 minutes notice on a Saturday morning. Save yourselves the trouble, stick with Raul. It doesn't get better!
