Please do not take your loved one there under no circumstances...the lobby is beautiful and that's about it! My mom was hospitalized for almost 3 weeks and was discharged to that dump! However I come to realize the majority of those stellar reviews are PHONY!...bunch of LIES!!! The very first night the actual nurse that was assigned to my mom tried to steal her cellphone thank goodness for the 360 app...she claims when she was changing my mom it fell in her pocketI say BS!! During the day it seems to be in the best interest of the patient, once nightfall hits its a whole different ballgame! GHETTO, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, DIRTY, FOOD IS DISGUSTING AND THE CARE...WELL THERE ISNT ANY...SHOULD TO BE SHUTDOWN‼-5 read more

My friend is in Excelcare. The physical setting is quite nice and it does not smell. However, that is where the good part ends. I think they paid these people off to give it a 5 star rating. I would give it a minus one! Do not choose this place to rehab! It is far, far, far from 5 star!! read more

Don't leave your loved one here. You will regret it. Management is horrible. The administrator is NOT compassionate with the needs of client's or staff. You would have to chase him all over the building to get the simplest request met. Don't leave your loved ones there. read more

I was approved for 2 sessions of PT a week and each time I went, I found the facility to be very clean (there are people constantly wiping down machines and equipment), the therapists I saw were very good in explaining what I was to do and what it would help with, and they also provided detailed information sheets and videos as to exercises I was to do at home. I am happy to say that with their knowledge and assistance, I am again pain free after about 6 weeks of treatment. I would highly recommend them. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable, the facility is very clean, their hours are accommodating, and they have a great location.

PER CYNTHIA - This place is TERRIBLE, they are under staffed and The staff that they do have are very ignorant with attitudes they don't want to do their work they hide from the patients you can't even get a glass of water when you ring for assistance no one comes for hours and they lie to the family members about the care that they're giving to their love ones. A lot of their patients are rushed out of there to the ER because they are being neglected. If you love your family members then do not bring them to egg Harbor care Center because they don't care. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST...MOM MY WAS TREATED HORRIBLE SHE COULD GET BATHS, WATER, FOOD, OR HELP GETTING AROUND. HAD TO SIT FOR HOURS IN SOILED CLOTHES. STAFF IGNORED HER CONSTANTLY. They are simply the best the area has to offer! The nursing staff is hit or miss...had some issues with major delays in receiving medication and needed to complain in order to get what I needed, but people don't come here for the nurses. They come for the therapy, and the therapists go the extra mile to really ensure you have a treatment plan that works for you. I am now continuing to see their outpatient physical and occupational therapists, and again, they are outstanding. AND...now as an outpatient, I get to use the pool for therapy! New to PT at this facility, I don't have the routine down to a science and expect the therapist to…read moreguide me with each exercise. Today, 03 June 2015, he just gave me a strap and a big ball. No instruction, reminder of how many reps or how long to hold the stretch. I waited to see how long it would take him to come back to me...7 minutes went by as I watched him with his other patients, no problem...then he's walking back and forth, one time even checking the temp in the facility because someone said it was hot. I get it but not one time did he check to see how I was doing...Hey, RON, get a clue about a patient, especially when I told you at the beginning I forget and won't remember the exercises, reps, how long to hold it. My time is as valuable as his and I got up, pissed. He asked where I was going, "back to work." He asked what he did, I told him that he assumed I remembered what to do. I said I watched him walk back and forth by me. I cancelled the rest of my appts. on the way out. I'm sure if I really need PT, I can find a much better facility!!! Don't bother going here.
