calls of any updates we initiated the calls, a date was set, the guys came june 10th, the roof was a large project the house is a side by side and advance did the whole house,they were done around 830 pm, the next day i went up the ladder i was going to inspect the job i didnt even have to go on the roof i seen spots covered in silicone at first i did not know what this was i noticed a few more and i took some pictures, i called dusty this was on a friday he says send me the pictures i do never heard back from him, sunday evening one guy from the crew says he is here to repair the roof, he goes up on he roof 10 minutes later he leaves,i text dusty back no answer again, a few days later dusty comes by goes up on the roof and tried to repair a few of these spots 45 minutes later he also leaves says he will be back the next day few days go by i textvto see whats going on again no text back, now i get a roofer to examine this job he informs me all these spots are shingle nails that should not be exposed, some didnt even have silicone covering them there was multiple spots all over the front slope, again i text this info to dusty he decides again to have another look this time he concedes thatvthe front slope has to be re done,great a roof a few weeks old, this is now another delay, at this point im getting upset from lack of communication to quality of work, im pointing this out to dusty my frustrations with this job, almost month later they come snd re do the front slope of the roof, finally getting somewhere, now dusty ask me if i still want the eves done as i stated to him during texts im no going forward with the eves, after considering this i tell him we will go ahead with the eaves as we signed a contract and dont want to be liable for breaking it,,almost 2 months later we get a call from the office the guys are coming to do the eves tomorrow, no time given we assumed in the after noon sometime, 230 pm we call and ask if we are still on the girl says she will find out and call back, again this did not happen we call a hour later and ask whats going on oh the guys are running late but still doing our eves, great a call back would have been nice, the guys show up at 5 pm done a couple hours later,after this job i look at it a week later and question the placement of the downspouts i take pictures and video of how loose they were and send a text iff to dusty this is this past saturday, again no answer sunday i go up the ladder and the eves are holding water not draining i take pictures and video off this as well off i send them to dusty with a few choice words of how fed up with his company and i dont feel i want them back on the property beyond frustrated at this point again no text back, monday comes i decide to just call him again no call back, tuesday i call his office speak with holly she was very nice i explain it to her she ask's to send her the info, not even 20 minutes later dusty decides now he would like to speak with me, i start to tell him my frustration he tells me that my texts Were rude !he also states my spouse hung up on the office staff, at this point rude texts and hang ups would be warranted with the service we were getting but these things simply did not happen i still have the texts and they were from from rude, now the placements of the downspouts was my miss understanding,for the front, as we have cameras up and a fence so they say the could not install them, but the back there is nothing in the way to install them the way i wanted but that did not happen, during this call with dusty he tells me its my fault where the down spouts are installed as it was explained to me where they have to be installed i ask him if its my fault they are hung level and holding water too he quickly answers no and they usually hang them level and its normal to have about a quarter in of water in them anyway this was his exact words, stunned to hear this i tell him look i dont want to argue with you i want this job completed and ask when are you now going to come and correct the eves, he says today wed , the guy shows up takes out the screws re levels it drains all the water and gets ready to leave i ask him if he covered the previous holes from where he removed the screws-he did not, i ask if he could please do this as i dont need holes in my fascia, he does the back and leaves never did the front,this job was started in the spring and just completed sept 19th, the photos i have shows the work on the roof as well of dusty's 2 repair jobs he tried circled in yellow, the photos also show the quality of work on the eves the back yard was hung level the front was hung off level going away from the drain, this company i would never use them again or recommend, from total lack of communication to quality of work!

Our home was built in 1946. Our windows were from the 60's or 70's with the exception of the living…read moreroom window from 1987. The doors were also old. We got quotes from a couple of different places. Igor from Canadian Choice was very transparent with us and he was the first person to tell us about any government rebates on home upgrades that improve energy efficiency. He was very friendly and quick to reply to our messages. All of our new windows and doors were built specifically to match the dimensions of the old ones. We did however request a larger window for the kitchen. Adnan, Harley and Matt did the installations. Very friendly and very professional. Everything looked properly insulated and sealed from the outside elements. They laid tarp on our floors and cleaned up afterwards. In total they replaced 11 windows and 2 doors within the day. Due to the age of our house we have plaster walls and they vary in thickness. When cutting out the old windows, some of the plaster had chipped at the edges, and because of the varying wall thicknesses, two of our windows have a 6-7mm gap on one side between the inner wall and inner window bezel. This is a fault of our house construction and not of the windows or installation. Our old windows also had bottom ledges so there are empty spaces where they once were. These are areas we'll need to patch up and re-paint ourselves. Just something to be aware of if you have an old home. Overall we're very impressed with the quality of work and professionalism from everyone we dealt with at Canadian Choice. Visually, everything is so much better than before. The windows are clearer, and easier to clean and operate. The doors look amazing and they were even able to get our front doorbell working again. More importantly, we shouldn't be having anymore drafts, leaks, mould, etc. We're hoping to see a significant decrease in our winter hydro bills.

The oak-vinyl windows, trimmed with oak casing, add a warm cozy feeling to our home. AUTUMN & WINTER: The windows remained absolutely clear even during the coldest months. No drafts, no fogging-up, no sweating, no interior frost build-up, and no ice accumulation around or at the bottom of the frame. Even the basement windows remained clear and problem-free. THE BEST PART: We never had to caulk or reseal any of the windows. We could easily and effortlessly open /close any window in mid-winter without any issues, and they still locked & sealed perfectly. ENERGY EFFICIENT: With all other electricity usage factors being the same during the winter, we paid an average of $45 less per month due to these draft-free Canadian Choice windows and doors. SPRING & SUMMER: The window-crank system is a breeze to use and every component (seals, crank, inner triple pane seals, locking mechanism) remain fully functional and intact. The windows are easy to wash inside and out. The handsome screens blend very well and seamlessly with the rest of the window - color wise and structure wise. They are a tad difficult to mount as they are very tight, but they "snap" in place with no unsightly hooks or tabs. THE DOORS performed perfectly as well. No ice build-up, no drafts, and they all opened and closed super smoothly, even during the winter. FAVORITE WINDOWS: KITCHEN AWNING: We love to be able to open this window during the winter (especially during hot baking days) and the ability to keep the window open while it rains. In this location, awning performs better than casement, offering a clear, unobstructed view. BAY WINDOW: With both side casement windows open, it feels like you are outside without being exposed to mosquitoes. This huge unit never cracked or fogged up, and the side windows remained condensation-free, frost-free, and ice-free during cold spells. We thoroughly enjoy our beautiful Canadian Choice Windows & Doors. The quality is top-notch, without any issues. We had a minor problem with the retractable screen of one storm door, but Canadian Choice is in the process of repairing it, free of charge, in a timely manner.
