This small cafe is located in historic downtown Pawtucket and fits right in. There is plenty to choose from on the menu and all the voices I've tried so far are delicious. The food seems very fresh and is a great alternative to the sandwich chains in the area. read more

Love this place. It's great to go to a family owned local restaurant for lunchtime. There stir fry is excellent. I highly recommend calling your lunch order ahead as it gets super busy between 11 and 2. And bring cash as they do not accept credit cards. read more

This place is beyond fantastic! We stopped in for dinner one night and were not disappointed. It was quiet at night, but my husband has been during the day and says there is a line out the door for lunch and breakfast. The cold cuts were super fresh and very good quality. The meatballs in my meatball sub were delish and the bread was perfectly fluffy. We also tried the perogies, which rivaled my husband's Polish grandmother's perogies! Each part of the meal came with a side and we got tons of food for under $25. I can't wait to return to this deli to try more of their plentiful choices! read more

This place is the bomb for breakfast and lunch. A really cool menu of American favorites, Polish specialties and some Portuguese items thrown in. Very cheap, always good. Had lunch there yesterday with 4 co-workers. This is my third or fourth time eating at ESC. Had the eggplant parm sandwich (huge, good) and a salad. My co-worker had the Polish stuffed cabbage and loved it. In the past I have had linguica and eggs for breakfast. All good. Warning: it can be packed at lunch and the food can take a few minutes. The "specials" (there are always several) are quicker than items off the regular menu. Great soups and salads. read more

Not sure how I've never written a review of my lunch stop. So there's nothing around this area food wise so Exchange becomes everyone who works in the area's go-to spot and for good reason. They have fresh food, I'm talking about a roasted turkey and chicken which they use for sandwiches...delicious. The prices are incredible for $6 a full sandwich with good quality meat and veggies on bread or wrap, a side (either a bag of chips, potato or pasta salad, watermelon or fruit) a drink and a freshly baked cookie! Even if your sandwich isn't on special it's still under $7 for a lunch with sides. They have salads as well that are just as yummie. The place is always busy around lunch time and the service could use some work but the people are so nice it doesn't bother me one bit. read more

Absolutely great place to pick up a picnic lunch and go sit by the mill and eat. Extremely reasonable prices. When is the last time you got a sub/sandwich, side order (home made pasta salad, or fresh fruit or chips your choice) and a cookie for under 5.00!! Two of us got lunch for 11.00 including soda. Sandwiches were fresh, loaded with ingredients and all the toppings. They even had banana peppers the day we went. Would go out of my way to get a sandwich here even if just driving by on 95. Its about 5 minutes tops off the highway with parking right out front. read more

This place is the best. So cheap and absolutely delicious, and did I mention the variety?? Love their chicken soup and their BLTs, also a huge fan of their $2.10 bacon egg and cheeses, yum. Decent place, decent people. It may not be in the nicest of areas, but the owners and staff keep the place clean, the food fresh, and the atmosphere friendly. Plus, a ton of cops come here; so, I always feel protected... I mean, I should pray nothing would happen, but, if it did, better to be surrounded by law enforcement. read more

I was in the area for work and am very pleased that I found the exchange street cafe. I had the Italian sub and it was very good. The cookies are amazing, definitely select the chocolate chip cookie as your side. Best part of the experience was the friendly staff who were very friendly and helpful. Only thing keeping from a 5 star review was the tables were dirty from previous customers. Will be recommending the restaurant to colleagues. read more

This place is so underrated! I love this spot for a quick and super filling/super cheap breakfast (ham, egg, cheese wrap & home-fries) to take on the go. They always have a decent selection of fresh baked muffins, cookies and pastries to choose from. The owner is very friendly and the staff is just as pleasant. They have some of my favorite Polish dishes, including a mean stuffed cabbage!! - the sauce is hearty and flavorful, the cabbage is just right, not soggy, and stuffed perfectly. For $8, its my go-to comfort dish in the area. The parking is limited and honestly somewhat intimidating if you're not from the area, but it's worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood! read more

Passed this place a dozen times since moving here from California. .. finally stopped in for a light lunch. I had the Kale and Potato soup, hub had egg salad sand on rye. Spent $10 and would have gladly spent $20. Just perfect... enough mayo in the egg salad just to hold it together, tons of kale, sausage and potato in my soup... and the cookies are just perfect too. First & last time here today. Everyone sounded super busy so I don't know of that's the reason we waited 40 mins for our food but that wasn't even the worst part. My food came out of a fucking microwave!! Yep! I walk over to the counter to just check on what the hell is taking so long and out comes a plate with scrambled eggs and homefries. I scurried back to my table to tell my boyfriend what I just witnessed.. And he said, "it was probably that woman's over there because the waiter took back her plate to make her over easy eggs and "got rid of" her scrambled ones." So I'm pretty sure he just scraped off her eggs and heated up mine... Ew. Is that parsley you're overloading on my food supposed to make me forget what I just saw?! Today was also the first time I had to butter my own toast for breakfast. In my life. Very odd. read more

Always delish, the turkey sandwich is my fave: they roast turkey daily, no deli-style sliced turkey here. I like the pierogis, but I'm not Polish so I don't have a reference point. Love this place! The food is very tasty. The price are cheaper than a big franchise restaurants. The employees are nice. I had them cater for my wedding and everyone loved the food. Keep in mind it was not an elegant wedding or anything like that. I had meatball, ziti, chicken Parm, breadsticks and garden salad. This place is usually pack during lunch times. It is the best and reminds me of little Brooklyn joints--holes in the wall--that do not look very inviting but are cheap and the food id very good. The service at this place is quick and friendly also. They do a ROBUST business. I don't know when the last reviewer went there but it wasn't during lunch time when it is filled with teachers, cops and office workers. I am a teacher and only go there for lunch--usually take-out. try the kale soup! read more
