She and I both met him at Newpark Mall in Newark and each signed contracts with him on that day. He asks for 50% when you sign the contract and 50% when the job is done. I was coordinating my friends wedding and so I was able work with Paul through out her reception. He kept the reception going and played all the music the couple requested. The only thing I was a little concerned about was that he was late arriving to the venue. He had a previous engagement that he was coming from and apparently got a flat tire on the way to her wedding. Accidents happen, he delivered at her wedding so we over looked his lateness. For my wedding, I felt like he made the party happen and kept reception moving. At no point was anyone bored or was there no music playing. I thought he did exceptionally well. But... Two weeks later my girlfriends and I get together and I find out that Paul was actually very late getting to my reception as well. He about sent my coordinator over the edge because he barely got set up before all my guests arrive. Besides his lateness I really have to say that he did a great job. I would recommend that you get reassurance from him that he will be at the job site on time and ready to start when your guests arrive. If it wasn't for this tardiness, I would have gave him 5 stars.

Paul's been DJing in the bay area, and specifically weddings for so long that he's definitely a pro. He gave us so many ideas and helpful tips, as far as a time line, music choices and fun games to get people moving. And his personality was awesome. He was enthusiastic and so easy to get along with. He really made the whole experience so much easier. On the day of our wedding he was the first one on site ready to set up and get started. He provided our ceremony music, which required extra speakers outside, and provided microphones for our officiate. He totally understood what we wanted as far as timing and transitions from the ceremony, to the cocktail reception to the dinner reception and his timing was on point. We were cramped on time, so he was great at announcing when we were doing the entrances, cake cutting, first dance, garter toss, etc. We had given him specific music we wanted to play and he made sure it was all provided. We also did the money dance, and he did a great job of keeping it going, instead of just cutting it off at a certain point, which was awesome for us, since we benefited greatly. For the reception we didn't really know what kind of music we wanted to play, so we let him know the age group of the majority of guests, and just told him, "Play music that will make people dance." And he did. Everyone was on their feet and every song choice was great. The dance floor was packed, and afterwards we got so many compliments on our DJ Paul was fantastic, and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. He's also not outrageously priced like so many DJs out there, and he's the only DJ on staff, so he gives you personal attention. We had looked at a few other DJ services, that were pretty large oganizations, with DJs doing multiple events in the same day, and you just really didn't get the same personal feel you got from Paul.

During the event, he was very kind, and seemed just as into the music as we were (even though he probably couldn't understand the Hindi songs). Our members and guests raved about the DJ for weeks after the event, and many have said that we should only have him for our event! I even sent a copy via email so everyone was prepared. I provided over 7 hours of music thought everything was handles. On the wedding day it was Todd, who I didn't talk too. He played the wrong song for my husband to walk out too, it was pretty much the chipmunk version of the song. After the I dos...the announcement of I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Didn't happen...song didn't play for awkward amount of time to walk back down the aisle. At dinner the same songs kept playing, when people asked for a request he said the bride said no. That was never talked about. Mid reception I had to go look for my songs because he was unprepared. Some songs that played were from YouTube and had weird talking. Not a lot of my songs from my list played. He didn't want to work my coordinator, the announcements I needed weren't happening. After the wedding I reached out he didn't respond until I emailed more than once. The service was NOT professional, and I asked to work something out with some type of refund. A lot of my guest talked about how awful the DJ was, which is super unfortunate. He did play music so I would never ask for the full amount just something, because it was not to expectation. BUT when he responded it was full of excuses. If you were prepared none of this would have happen. And now he ghosted me. I would NOT recommend. A speaker and phone would probably be better.
