Channel your young one's drama into something productive! Basically an all in one singing, acting and music lessons one stop shop. Almost all ages, my 6 year old LOVES her singing lessons amd all the staff from Ian the Principal to the ones that work with the youngsters are amazing. They're in both Town and Kingston, and classes are on the high side of reasonable, but if you have kids who love singing you can go wrong. read more

History

Established in 2002.

You see them singing around the house and they are always putting on plays in the lounge, but what’s the next step? When it comes to music and drama, how do you walk the line between performing for the fun of it and developing a real skill? That’s where we come in. ExitLeft has been entertaining Tasmanians with live theatre and fostering young talent through performing arts training for more than 20 years. The quality of ExitLeft’s performing arts training arm has resulted in a regular stream of students receiving offers into the leading performing arts courses (VCA, WAAPA, NIDA and the Arts Academy). In addition the unique singing and acting classes have proved to be hugely popular, with thousands of children heading through its doors. Exitleft’s signature techniques have contributed to an improvement in the standard of singing, acting and performance throughout southern Tasmania.

Meet the Business Owner: Ian W.

Ian is the Principal and Artistic Director of ExitLeft. He has a Bachelor of Music, specialising in Voice and is in demand as a Director and Musical Director. He is known for producing and directing some of the biggest shows in the State as well as teaching music from infants through to university level. Ian has been instrumental in bringing music into the lives of young lower socio-economic families in Tasmania. He is a member of ANATS and the TMTA.
