Airport food can be hit or miss, but I thought that EXKi was a hit! They have an entire section of warm prepared food as well as a refrigerated section of cold items. I actually really liked this place! It was on the side of the airport that was less busy at the time and truly serves a whole variety of healthy salads, sandwiches, and pastas as well as some random variety of quiche & baked goods. We really enjoyed the three different freshly made quiches, the feta pasta salad, and a butter ham sandwich. Of course the ambience is more to want, but they had a high chair which is more than anything I can ask for in an airport meal! read more

Bland food. We chose EXKi because of mentions on travel boards but it did not live up to the hype. Like Paul and Naked in the same terminal, it's down a fight of stairs which sets it apart from the main floor. This also makes it hard for people with mobility issues to access it with suitcases or backpacks in tow. We tried the mushroom and brie quiche, tomato bisque, lasagna, and baguette. I also bought a strawberry yogurt. Surprisingly the prepackaged grocery store yogurt was better than all the other food. Everything was under salted. Baguette was hard and dry. There were flies around the food bar. Sigh. I wish my first meal in Paris was a better one. At least Paul was a few paces away to take the sting out of it. Don't recommend. read more

The coffee was flavorless, I think it was mostly soy milk, but the soy milk they used was also a pretty flavorless one, so it was a bit like kinda-creamy water. Gourmet organic fast food. Love the concept, eat some healthy "organic" food while traveling. And some of the food looked fun and different. Fancy French cakes, smoothies, and coffee choices included lingo, Ristreto, and more. So why not a higher rating? Travelers, especially at 6 am, need good coffee. I got the ginseng coffee which turned out to be coffee flavored water with a limp at the bottom. Guess I should have mixed the powder mix, although my French skills weren't strong enough to catch the instructions. and in a fancy foody spot, someone should mix the coffee mix for you. Also got the pear chia yoghurt thinking it would be a breakfast. My expectation was wrong. And while there is. I thing wrong with having desert for breakfast, it is a matter of expectation. The tables needed to be cleaned, and the trays taken away. Easy to do, but part of the rating. This is one of the few two stars I would go back too. I didn't really want to spend any money on food because we're about to fly across the Atlantic to the states, but since there was a bit of delay. My blood sugar started to drop. And because of that, I was hypnotized by the smell of the pastry dishes and of coffee brewing. So I wander over and browse at what I can spend my money on. Two things that caught my eye were the pastilla, a Moroccan pastry dish filled with ground chicken and my all time favorite, the croissant. Load my tray up with that and a bit further down the line I order myself a medium americano. I pay with my contactless (Samsung pay) and I'm on my merry way to a delightful brefix chow down. The coffee was strong, tasty and fresh. I love a good cup of coffee in the morning. The pastilla was really good, flaky and crunchy on the outside and the filling is nice and meaty. It's surprisingly lean which I wasn't expecting at all. The flavor was really good too. The croissant, well you know,,, really buttery and aromatic,, flaky on the outside,, light crunch and soft chewy insides is an all time favorite of mine. Can't really go wrong there. I heard this was one of those organic healthy type of shop in Paris, so yea,,, why not. My first time eating pastilla was a good experience, yes the stuff made by real Moroccans are probably better, but I'm not at a Moroccan shop. I don't really understand the poor reviews.. while the food is a bit overpriced, it is an airport.. but the quality of the food is really good, and what we ordered was pretty delicious. We had the chicken poutine, which was a nice puff pastry filled with chicken, herbs, and nuts inside. We also had the chicken and bacon tart which was really good; it looks like a slice of quiche. I had never heard of Coke Life, so I had to have one.. it was like a cross between coke and diet coke; yum. They have a huge selection of freshly baked items, as well as sandwiches and healthy and unique salad options and fruit and vegetable options all packaged and ready to go, as well as a large selection of organic juices and yogurts. When you're in France for a week and all you've eaten is bread and cheese, sometimes all you want is salad and healthy food. And in an airport, much-less in Paris, it's difficult to find healthy, affordable food. This place has a wide selection of salads; they also have some quiches and desserts, because you're in France after all and a proper lunch is anything with a dessert on the side. I would be willing to trek across the whole terminal and/or walk 15 min to come here. If you're a vegetarian, gluten-free, paleo, you'll be able to find something to eat here. They have a big refrigerator section where you grab your food. They also have microwaves so that you can warm up your food if you would like. I like that the microwaves are self-serve because if the employees are going to spend time putting food in a microwave instead of moving through the queue of people, they can just have people microwave the food themselves. I can't remember the exact name of my salad, but it was something Andean, with cut up lettuce, quinoa, carrots, and maybe a curry sauce. I think it was around €8 for a salad, which is not too bad. It wasn't huge, but it was enough - I don't like to eat meals that are too heavy before flights anyways. My boyfriend got a salad with a ginger carrot that was tasty. I'd eat either salad again. We also got a quiche with spinach and brie that was just okay - I don't think I would get this again. The seating is super cramped and there's definitely not a lot of room to sit and eat. If you have more than 2 people in your group, just eat at the gate or find somewhere else in the airport to eat. It felt like all the tables were on top of each other and when you have everyone with their luggage, it's just crowded. I'd come back here again next time I'm in the airport - quick, healthy, and reasonably priced, with a decent selection to things to choose from. read more

True to its name, Exki, dervied from 'exquis' is an absolute delight! This Belgian chain of healthy grab-and-go gourmet salads, sandwiches on organic breads, soups, quiche, beverages, coffee, and delectable treats is just exquisite! Service was warm and friendly - Mr. Badmanadane was polite and efficient. I highly recommend the sandwich 'Aleandro' - organic wheat baguette with raisins and walnuts and thick slabs of good quality brie. I paid a mere Euro 5.60 for this satisfying, generous portion of goodness. Neighboring eateries in the terminal were selling sandwiches half this size for Euros 8-10. I had five hours in between my flights and I was looking for a restaurant with a nice seating area to spend some time. Exki was the only restaurant with tables so I decided to go there. All of the food they had were premade and they were being heated if you ask. I decided to try the spinach quiche however I couldn't even eat it. It had a terrible smell. A place serving pretty healthy food including salads, grain bowls, vegetarian tarts, soups and so on. The taste is absolutely decent considering the alternatives. Just because this is located within the airport is shy I give this place 5 stars, if not behind the security gate then it would probably be 3-4*. The particular meal I had was a salad called mazagan. They have a big selection of healthy food. We had 2 sandwiches, a piece of quiche, 2 salads, and cake + drinks - for nearly 60€. The quiche (ham and Emmentaler) was great. The salad with goat cheese and lentils was excellent. The sandwiches (with salmon) were ok and the cake (cheesecake/lemon) was really good. Really good choice for a airport sandwich place. All of their prepackaged salads have the full ingredients list and symbols on the shelves indicate which are vegetarian or gluten free. They have this little side salad of tomatoes, mozzarella, and pesto, and it is absolutely AMAZING! I usually get two because I'm slightly obsessed. And even though I wouldn't have expected it, the zucchini soup is really really good. Yes, their prices leave something to be desired. 5€ for a side salad no bigger than my fist -- are you kidding me? A healthy quick food option at the airport. The cappuccino was pretty good. The chocolate croissants (like all French croissants) were delicious. Definitely try it here if you are leaving France and you haven't tried it yet! The pastries are all warm. I also had the grapefruit and oranges. Although they were very fresh, the center of the grapefruit (the white parts) were still there so it was more bitter than usual. The soup smelled delicious and it was very popular.
