This salon is my go to salon for tanning!! They have incredibly great, Affordable deals throughout the year.. the red beauty light tanning beds give me a beautiful natural looking glow that can be darker the more often you go, or you can just keep a healthy glow during the winter by going less often. I work so much and never can afford the time to sit in the sun for hours, so this place has been amazing.. I have literally never seen this place not in spotless condition, and I've seen the staff cleaning after each person leaves personally, so I know they do clean and they do it frequently.. I have started doing the new fit body wrap sessions here too, and let me tell you, you're truly missing out if you don't try it!! It's an amazing detox, and I did a lot of research before trying it, so I know the multiple benefits I'm getting.. the location at 99 lambert Lind highway is the only one I'll go to because they also have a very nice staff, who has always been helpful with explaining everything and kind to me, and others that I see them interact with.. I use the chameleon tanning lotion, and it works really well with the sessions I've done in the red light bed. Needing a little lift, I popped in here just after opening on Saturday morning. I wanted to get some color for an upcoming event in a few days and initially thought I'd jump in a tanning bed. But once inside, my jiminy cricket conscience got the best of me and I opted for a spray tan. So let's time stamp here. I'm back from the day of of "Sun In" and orange fake tans. I've done spray tans here before but it was so chilly... But the results were good. New signage on the street said the spray tan sitch had changed and the booth was now HEATED. Reassess. I'm not going to get toooooo detailed but I'll say that you step into a booth after selecting your level our color at the front desk. It is a private room with an open booth. No awkward spray guns held by a human for me. The staff here is always friendly and honest...it'd been a minute since I've spray tanned so I asked for instructions. The only turnoff is that there was an open wash tub in the spray booth room with dirty rags hanging over the edge. A lil EW. But, to be honest I'm thinking that this room isn't used a whole lot. A few hours out and I'm thrilled with the color I'm showing. It looks like I just returned from a tropical vacation... Yay. read more

I got a spray tan today and it looks fantastic however there are a lot of other significant issues with this place that have nothing to do with the tanning beds or spray machine. I think possibly the biggest issue is customer service one of the employees with darker hair was extremely rude and tried to scam me out of a prepaid spray tan claiming it had expired. I had just randomly showed up one day to get a spray tan it was informed that there was a sale if I purchased two so I did no one said anything about an expiration date. I remember thinking it was weird when I left because the person that never asked me for a phone number or name so how would they know that I was due the other tan? So when I returned the woman with the black hair tells me that it's expired and insists that she's the one who sold me the package and remembers exactly when I came in even though it was never entered in the computer and immediately starts giving me attitude. I told her matter-of-factly that I would remember if she had told me that there was an expiration date because why would I pay for something and then let it expire and then why would I drive all the way there knowing it was expired wasting gas. I probably should've turned out and left but I'm a glutton for punishment so I try to negotiate with them to get a color upgrade since I was 100% positive I had never been informed of the expiration. The manager she called on the phone agreed however when I came back in today to use the second spray tan I bought another package remember I was told there was nothing in the computer about an upgrade not wanting to have a repeat of last time I just sucked it up and said I would pay for the upgrade strangely enough the last several times that I've come in to tan the upgrade was 5 but today it was 10 which essentially means I paid for the one I got free the first time and really wasn't reimbursed at all for the tan I lost. I should have gotten the upgrade for free both times which would've only added up to $10 when the spray tan is about 14 but I wasn't gonna fight over four dollars. After being charged double that just made up my mind to go elsewhere from now on. Between the rude staff the inconsistent results sometimes the spray tan works other times I've had no color change at all even between an area that was clothed w a bra and the naked skin and random changes in prices for the same services with no signage or notice I wasn't OK forking over my hard earned money for the treatment I was getting. So I go back to use the machine into this tiny little room that is completely unsanitary as I'm dressing I realize there's dead bugs all over the floor and some live ones a huge spider web in the corner near the trash with more dead bugs. I can't understand how if they are supposedly cleaning these spaces after each use due to Covid that there could be that much webbing bugs and other garbage on the floor. It honestly looks as though they set off some kind of a bug bomb and then never swept up the dead bugs. If I wasn't going back before that certainly reenforced my choice to not go back. At one time exotic tans was basically the crème de la crème of tanning salons in the area it's honestly astounding how downhill this business has gone. If this is how things were done at the other locations that shut down I'm not surprised that there's only 2 of them left. I remember 5 years ago you would walk into an exotic tans and it was spotless. I'm guessing the owner isn't around much because I can't imagine that they would be OK with the state of cleanliness in the building if they had seen this themselves. read more

I've been Frequenting this location for awhile now, I usually buy a package of spray tans and come every couple of months! I bought a package from Meg back in May and while I was there the entire computer system was down so she wasn't able to add my package into the system, fast forward to Saturday August 27th and I go in to use a spray tan and the girl can't find my package in the system (I had actually forgotten when I bought the package so I was kinda freaking out) she went to another computer and looked up transactions and was able to see when I purchased my package! I thought that was awesome and she went above and beyond, she could of easily just said sorry it's not in here and had me pay for another spray tan! I used to love this place but lately I've been so unsatisfied with my tan. I usually always get a level 4 spray and I swear i'm never dark. I always wait way over the 8 hours to let it develop and it still never truly gets dark. For almost $40 a spray I expect a level 4 to be very dark. I've used versapro at other salons & usually a level 2 is perfect but i'm not sure if they use different tanner here but its not dark at all. Wont be spraying here again. read more

I have had mixed experiences at tanning salons in the past, so I waited to write this until I had gone several times. I love Exotic! The beds are clean, it's very professional, and reasonably priced. They have a great selection of lotions, which the girls working there are very knowledgeable about. I don't tan very easily but they suggested a lotion and I was already 1 shade darker by the end of my 12 minutes. It seems like they are in the middle of upgrading the space so there are some boxes around but I really couldn't care less. I'm there to tan. I even lost a necklace there and the girls working made sure that I was able to go look through the room I had been in. They checked the entire place to see if I had dropped it walking out. I will never go back again. I loved their options for tanning and how well the staff got to know me and cleanliness BUT when I moved out of the state and needed to cancel I followed every direction to do so after 2-3 weeks of sending in my mail paperwork I got a charge on my account so I called the Warwick Location the manager was NO help at all and told me I had to resend in my information. which means I have to pay for everything all over again. (it may not be expensive but its the fact that I work a full time job and do not have time to go to the post office nor should I have to resend this information when it has already been sent out once) I wouldn't be calling if I didn't send the letter. . Love the Warwick location! This location has the Herbalife bar where the employees make shakes for you. Great after burning up to 1,200 calories in their Fitwrap! The staff is always very informative and keeps the store spotless. They have a large selection of UV tans and a spraytan machine! My current favorite is the Sun Angel. I love how it scans my skin and sets a PERSONALIZED tan schedule to allow my skin to not burn! They are located right near the mall so after a long day shopping I get to treat myself to a gorgeous tan. read more

A great place, a great tan! I went in on a Friday late afternoon and was greeted by the Sales Associate (Tanning Consultant) Gianna. She was friendly, professional, and knew all of the different types of packages that were being offered. I had many questions and Gianna was very patient answering all of them to my satisfaction, without doubt. I was then taken on a tour (the place is huge) and showed the different type of beds, stand-ups, spray tanning room, and even things I was not highly interested in, such as face tanning, leg tanning, teeth whitening, body wrap, and smoothie central explaining them all and how they work (pricing etc...). i decided to go with the 2 month unlimited package @ $39.99/mo with a $40 enrollment fee. I am able to go to any location at anytime and do not have to pay "co-pays". I saw that deal online and was leaning towards that, but they have packages to meet everyone's needs. Gianna recommend which booth I should start with and I took her advice and it worked great (stand-up 6 minutes) I decided also to do a light spray tan, it is an additional cost of $10 (discounted w/ package), however overall I was very satisfied! With this long never ending winter here in RI, this is just what I needed. I left feeling refreshed, non-stressed, and tan! This location is clean, neat and organized and I would highly recommend to anyone that asked. It is a little expensive (especially first visit, depending on what package you choose), but you pay for what you get, and what I got was a great tan!! The only reason I am not giving it a full five stars is that I believe there is always need for improvement and you (businesses in general) can never rely on complacency. I would give it 4.5 stars, but there are no halves. Overall, what a great decision to stop into Exotic Tans, I am a happy customer, and Gianna made the experience "fun", non-stressful and relaxing. I joined on March 30th with the $60.00 unlimited tanning or sprays. When I arrived to sign up for membership that day, I had a few more questions than what I had asked on the phone. The answers were different & passed off as oh A (first initital only is new, not working out so well) I was misinformed. I still joined even though dssting other employees goes up one side and down the other, just not ethical. I must say the staff is friendly enough, BUT product knowledge zip to 0. Did my own online research on products and also spoke to a friend who owns a place in Florida. (He has an EBAY store) Got much more info out of him than the place I belong at. Also had an issue today when confronted when checking in about what I was using; that the bed wasn't cleaning or something like that. HELLO bought VISIONARY *which my Floridian friend laughed at me for, saying I should have called him sooner*, the price is off the charts! From the day I signed up used that for the 1st 3 weeks. I am now using Black Dahlia and they are accusing me of using oil based products. NOT. I had the counter girl come into the room and clean the bed when i was dressed. I said is there a problem? She didn't really answer me; only to say buying products online they are not the same. LOL to myself. Same exact product when you buy from a wholesaler. Tried to get a hold of the owner and told oh he doesn't deal with that, really you don't deal with your clients? I was told a manager would get back to me. Yet to hear from anyone. I'll update review when I do (if they don't delete it) I am not happy being greeted when signing in with accusations by SARA of doing something I am not doing. Even less happy with the fact you can't express your dissatisfaction to the owners. I work all day, my relaxing time is when I have 12 minutes to myself of uninterrupted space/time. OH that's the other whoops, was supposed to be in tanning bed (at my request) on first visits for 6 or 8 minutes ~ they put it on for 12 minutes. Yup ooops so don't doze off if you're just starting you'll be fried (I wasn't) but could see it happening to someone else...OOOPS? and a sorry! As an added bonus for your clients you might want to consider purchasing throw away paper gowns for when your machines break down. Horrible! I pre-paid for a package of 10 spray tans. I only used 2 and they told me I was no longer in the system because its 1 year limit (which i was not told). If I wanted a spray tan I could pay $35.00 for one??!! wtf? Talked to manager and said nothing they can do they fired the employee that promised me no expiration date. read more

By far the best tanning salon I have been to. After trying other local options, I went to try this location a couple of years ago. The staff was surprisingly polished, the place is immaculate, and the options are fantastic, compared to what my expectations had become about this business. Ever since, I am a dedicated continuous customer! I have also checked many other states local tanning salons when we travel and most are about the same; limited options, long waits, and less than friendly staff who put less than adequate attention to cleanliness or making you feel welcome. Exotic tans in Warwick shines far and away as the best salon of its kind in all aspects. They deserve to know how much difference a great committed staff makes for their customers! read more

For one: the woman working the day I went had no clue about any of their products which whatever because less money I ended up spending and two can you people put prices on your website for everything you have? I have been trying to look up how much teeth whitening is there and there's no price! Way more convenient for me to be able to just go on the website whenever I want instead of having to call. Other then that it's okay oh and the new tip jar I noticed LOL tip for what? Not being able to answer my questions and the prices are too expensive to be tipping someone who is just cashing you out.
