This was the second winery of three on our Hunter Valley wine tour. I thought it was a really…read morestrange location considering it's a beer spot. There are multiple bachelorette parties happening while we were here. We were seated it to very long tables, unfortunately I pick the seat really far from our host and couldn't hear any of the exclamations even though she tried to speak over the noisy patio. We were given cheeses that accompanied each of the four tastings. The tastings were ridiculously tiny so little I really didn't get a feel for any of the wines so I have no opinion on any of them. I did like that they paired up with certain cheeses that that was nice. I bought one bottle to go just because I said I would buy at least one bottle at every location. The other patios beautiful there is an indoor seating area and a separate retail/counter tasting area.

For $15 you get to choose from 2 groups of 6 of their 12 craft brews to sample from Ginger Ale, Lager through to Cider, which they present nicely on a paddle. You will also get Tasting notes with it. And when you finish sampling, return the paddle and you can swap it with a medium size of your favourite brew for free. The foods were delicious. If you do have lunch there, you have to try their Crisp Pork Belly with spiced Chats potato, pickled cabbage, candy apples and Cider Jus. It's tasty, the candy apples and the crispy pork belly just go together beautifully, and the jus just complements the dish. The pickled cabbage You can go without, it didn't add anything to the dish. The Prawns with garlic, tomato, chilli and handmade Pappardelle is also delicious. They also have kids' menu. The place is spacious with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. I will definitely come again for a nice relaxing lunch the next time we're in the area.

The best restaurant in the Hunter Valley. Hands down you wont find a better place. Because of that,…read morebook! Don't try just rocking up, you won't find a place. Minimum two course order, it is $75 a head. Or you can pay $120 and get the taster. Either way all is good! Each meal is better than the last, you won't be disappointed. From the noodles in sake cream to the 70 hour slow cooked steak, it is all good. You will be sharing and enjoying each dish. If you get the taster, they will also give you wine for each meal. The service here is also nothing less than amazing. But you wouldn't expect any different. If you haven't got from this review, I love this place! I come here anytime I am in the Hunter, and every time I have never been disappointed. So come a long, and come with an empty stomach.

I had one of the best fine dining experiences here at Muse Restaurant. The tables are not too close or too far apart from one another. And love love love the open kitchen area (knowing that it is going to be an expensive meal, it makes me feel better seeing chefs hard at work, hah) 2) Service - The waitress is very knowledgable about the food as well as the wine menu. When she needs to interrupt, she does not do it abruptly. 3) Food - Blue Eye Trevalla (main course) : Highly recommended ! Fish + a party of mushrooms (4 different kinds to be precise) was a bliss. Mandagery Creek Venison (main course): Cooked perfectly, medium rare. Juicy and yummy Potato Puree (side) - MUST TRY ! It has to be the smoothest puree you ever had ! Nitro White Chocolate Ice Cream (desserts) - Very good, did not have the liquid nitrogen after taste. Two courses are $75 per person while three courses are $95 per person. Before the first course is served, there is a complimentary palate cleanser - Pumpkin skin with goat cheese and some spices. It's not my favourite as the goat cheese was a little overpowering, but interesting flavours. There is also a complimentary dessert of raspberry cube coated with coconut shavings and chocolate macaroon. I did not like the raspberry cube either...but that's just me. I will definitely go back the next time I visit Hunter Valley :)
