We started looking into companies that treat small areas of dry wood termites since we didn't need the house to be tented and found Lajaunie's. They offer a whole house no tent dry wood termite treatment that comes with dry wood termite coverage as long as you pay the annual inspection fee. It's pricey but the peace of mind that we won't be chasing the termites around the house is worth it. They treated the underneath of our house, the attic and drilled holes on both sides of each door and window to treat.

In my opinion, do NOT automatically believe the company's response without reviewing the actual facts and documentation yourself.** My experience with LaJaunie's Pest Control was extremely disappointing and financially stressful. I was sold a very expensive rodent package, including approximately **$18,000 in exclusion work** that was supposed to help prevent rats from entering the home, in addition to attic cleaning and ongoing pest services. Despite all of this work and money spent, I STILL had rodent activity afterward and was repeatedly told to "just wait, it takes a while." **PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY.** From my understanding, the cancellation terms heavily favored the company and included major financial penalties tied to the remaining balance of the agreement. The billing issues became even more concerning: * After already making **11 out of 12 payments**, I was told I could cancel and would not owe additional payments. * I later continued receiving charge notifications and attempted charges to my card. * I spoke with **Shelly twice** and was specifically told there would NOT be an additional **$49 charge** because they were "just picking up bait boxes." * Another charge was still processed anyway. * When I called back, management stated I still needed to pay. I was also told the company "records everything," yet the information later being described as part of my alleged agreement was NOT what I stated during the conversations. I requested copies of the recordings they referenced and am still waiting. Fortunately, I also keep my own records of conversations. When I raised concerns, I was told the employee involved "no longer works for the company." Again: PLEASE document everything in writing, save screenshots, review every clause carefully, and get multiple opinions before committing to any large pest-control contract.

    I hope that others can benefit from my disappointing experience when considering BS. They respond…read morequickly to service appointments and contracting for services, but they are highly ineffective and poor communicators once $$ are spent. Their handling of my squirrel issue, resulted in added expense and time wasted. There was a lack of communication and accountability on their part, which was frustrating. Despite their representations and scheduling, the issue with the squirrel in my attic was not resolved as expected, resulting in wasted time and frustration for the tenant and me. It left me with incurred expenses, a disgruntled tenant who missed work to be there for services they don't offer and an ongoing issue with a squirrel trying care for a smaller squirrel in my attic. I emailed to state it was returned/repeated squirrel activity. Chris scheduled the appointment only for the tech who has serviced the home twice before to say "we don't do that". It is important for companies to be transparent and take ownership of their missteps. I am still awaiting an apology and/or refund. TIMELINE Sept 5 - Initial visit. Squirrel activity identified. The tech saw a squirrel. See photo. Sept 13 - Unscheduled visit. Exterior serviced. Sept 18 - I advised the suggested repairs were made, but the tenant reported the same activity. Christian emailed me to state I needed to call to schedule an appointment. I asked the tenant to schedule the appointment since it required her to be at home. Sept 21 - I contacted the company by phone and email to request a MANAGER call me. Photo attached. Sept 23 - Christian called. He said they came out to ensure it wasn't something that they serviced. When I explained that their technician called before arriving "to explain" that this shouldn't have been scheduled because it isn't something he could address, Christian replied "Oh". I then asked if he knew who scheduled it in error and he said he didn't know. Then I asked Christian to confirm he was a leader and the requested call back. He stated he was not, but would ask the manager to call me. (This was the second phone request for a manager contact me about the communication issue.). Sept 24 - Danielle called. I called back and she was gone for the day. Sept 26 - I emailed to follow up. Danielle emailed to say she was headed into a meeting at 12p and would be unavailable the rest of the day. I replied to request a written apology from whoever scheduled this in error. Sept 27 - Danielle contacted me to state that (at approx. 11a). She then messaged that she would try me again on Monday and hoped I enjoyed the "beautiful weather over the weekend". I do not live in the state and was grappling with Helene effects. (Insensitive and snarky IMO). I didn't call back since she said she speak with me Monday, but I did message back to ask Danielle to let me know her hours since we can't seem to catch up with one another due to limited availability. I also reminded her of my request for an apology from the scheduler (once again). Photo attached. Sept 30 - AFTER this review, Danielle sent a polite, professional and responsive message with the requested information and her office hours. She also stated that Christian scheduled the appointment on 9/18. Yes, the same Christian who told me over the phone he didn't know who scheduled it, was the person who caused the tenant to miss time from work, additional days with the unresolved squirrel issues, unnecessary expenses and headaches.

I completely forgot all about this and was contacted via phone which I appreciated. The person I spoke with on the phone was able to answer all the questions I had and I signed the agreement a couple of hours after hanging up with her. She called back quickly after that and was able to schedule my initial service for just a couple of days later. James just left my house. He gave me a rundown of exactly what he would be doing, where and how. He also told me things to look out for, what to expect during my quarterly visits and also how to schedule in between services if necessary. He was very professional, friendly and quick. I'm glad I chose this company so far!
