So I've been back a few times to Explorado and i have to give them props because it's hard to run a physical store. Lots of hustle, man hours , and it's realllly expensive so I'm super appreciative to have this near by. Each time I go back I see more that I like and didn't notice the last time. It's definitely a store you should take your time in and check out all the books and crannies to make sure you see the full array. Jillz crackers is now my new favorite keto snack, can't live with out items that I learned about from someone who worked at the store and was super friendly and helpful. It's a seeded cracker but has more of a flour like consistency and still great on the calories and carbs. I'd love it if they started carrying Sola granola and buns. Each time I go I try to take a chance on things I haven't tried that they stock. Also can't beat their doughnuts are still so damn good every-time I have to get one when I go. read more

To say that Explorado is a treasure would be an understatement. I have been so grateful to be able to shop at a dedicated low carb market every time I travel home to visit family. There isn't even a store like this in the metro area on the east coast where I live; the fact that there is one in Fort Collins is remarkable. Northern Colorado is so lucky to have it. Explorado has a huge variety of packaged goods and their house-made bakery items are incredible. The cheesecakes alone are worth making a trip for. I had to make a review not only because of all of this, but because the owners are super nice and went out of their way to fulfill a special order for me. They were out of a baked good I was looking to treat my parents with, so they baked me a fresh box of them at the end of the day even though they were short-staffed. This is a unique and special market. Really, I've not seen or heard of another market quite like this one. What makes this place so unique? Well, nothing in the store contains gluten and everything sold here is to help support and maintain a Keto and or Paleo eating style. They have low carb donuts, cheesecakes, bagels, cookies, etc. They literally have anything and everything to satisfy your sweet tooth even when you need it to be low carb and sugar free. They also sell supplements, drinks, even ice cream. The vibe here is excellent and if you are not from the area, they will ship goodies to your doorstep. Cute store and I'm sure the staff was friendly. They were just busy helping other people. We were glad to see a locally owned store that seemed busy. For us, however, the prices of their items were much too high. Keto friendly foods can be pricey but it seemed as if they bordered on gouging. A six-pack of Zevia soda which is normally $4.99 at the grocery store was priced ar $8.49 at Explorado. Jilz Crackerz were $6.49 or $6.99 here and I pay $5.99 where I usually purchase them. Those were just a couple examples. We really want to support local businesses when we can but because keto foods are already expensive, we unfortunately can't afford to pay sometimes twice as much for an item. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I continuously go out of my way to come here because it is so frikin good. Everything I've tried is amazing! The cakes and donuts are fluffy, the cookies are perfect, and the quiche is SO YUM!!! I could go on and on about the focaccia bread. If your into Keto check this place out and have the keto brownies they bake onsite. If your walking around the store pay close attention as they have paleo and keto snacks and if you dont watch it you could get some serious carbs by accident. Picked up some keto chip, elk jerky, and a few brownies and left happy. Its definitely a small nitch store and they should really promote their keto baking goods more as I would drive out that far just to pick up a few of those anytime I am in Fort Collins / Loveland. Whenever I find a store that caters to low carb/ keto - I jump for joy! I only wish there are more stores like this EVERYWHERE!
