When multiple pickleball players went to the front desk to inquire why our designated pickleball court was taken away, a staff member said one of the pickleball players agreed to give it up. Since there were 8 players (enough for 2 courts) it was easy to validate the staff member's statement. None of the 8 players told the staff member we were willing to give up our designated court to the basketball players. she blatantly lied to us.

The class is 30 mins and suppose to teach your child the basics of swimming. Our son already feels comfortable with the water so it was a easy introduction for him. Unfortunately we felt like with the other children two laps for approximately $18.75 a lesson... when you break down the $75 is not really worth it. They don't really teach them how to breath under water. The coach simply had our son do a lap up a small section with her. Each week was a tiny bit more involved but not by much. I personally wouldn't recommend the class to anyone else. I will however say the pool is very nice and the gym looks really nice.

I read a negative review about someone's son getting hurt and not being notified. This has not been my experience. The one time when my son and his friend were throwing an object back and forth In the pool and my son got hit in the eye accidentally, they called me immediately and the P.A. was able to write him a prescription and she took care of everything. The camp is a little "quaint" but that adds to its charm. Last year my son did a week at another camp and begged me to only enroll him at Camp Horizon. It was way overcrowded at that other camp and the food terrible. I will be sending my daughter to Camp Horizon when she old enough. I appreciate they keep the price reasonable too.

It is off the beaten path in rural Leesburg. You enter through a quaint tree lined road and reach the campground that is situated on lake Harris. The dock reminds me of something out of the movies. It is wooden with an upper deck that looks out over the massive lake. The camp director was nice and let us take a walk around. The grounds were so peaceful and relaxing. The buildings are older but well maintained. They have air conditioned cabins, a gymnasium, snack bar, chapel and dining hall. The price includes 3 hot meals for the week. There are discounts if you attend two weeks and if you have a sibling that attends. I would have visited a long time ago however they have van trasportation from Pembroke Pines for only $10. each way!!! They don't have any televisons and they don't allow campers to use cell phones or electronics. My kids come home tired after having a blast all week . Last year my daughter had such a good time that she actually got camp sick. When she got home she was upset for days because she wanted to go back!!!

I…read morebecame a member of the Orlando science center over Christmas break because we had so much fun on our first visit and now I get emails all the time about fun new events going on at the museum. One of them happened to be the mess fest that was going on this past weekend. So we decided to head out to Orlando and let me tell you it was so much fun!! They transformed one of their rooms into a fun place for the kids to get messy. You were catapulting scrunchie balls covered in paint onto a canvas sheet. There was another area where they were doing little bottle rockets with paint and Alka-Seltzer. That my kids absolutely LOVED. They also had scribble bots, a raffle painting for canvas paintings but that's not all because they had other stuff going on different floors. We got to make our own slime and we even got to go outside and watch them use liquid nitrogen to cause a bubbly explosion that the kids got to play afterwards. This was a 10 out of 10 experience.
