I have been here several times and have even left a good review in the past, but Friday, March 20, 2026 at 2:15pm I was highly disappointed with the attitude of Rosa Lee. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter last week to get a pedicure, manicure, and a full set. Mary did a wonderful job on my daughter's feet. She was kind, gentle, and handled her with great care. After Mary finished, she sent my daughter to Rosa Lee. I made sure she understood that a manicure was supposed to be completed first then she'd get a full set. Rosa Lee looked at my daughter's nails scoffed and said she needed to go grab tools. She came back and began pushing back her dry cuticles so I asked about the manicure. Her response was, "I'm going to do her cuticles first." Then she pulled out the drill the rough up her nails which caused my daughter to pull back twice because of how rough she was. I asked again bout the manicure. She said okay. When she pulled out the nails to glue tips on I stopped and explained that a manicure was supposed to be completed first per my request of services. Rosa Lee rudely responded that she had already cut my daughter's cuticles. I explained that I was specific and Rosa Lee pushed back her chair, dropped her tools, and said "Well we will just have to speak to someone." I responded, "Yes we will." and asked for Kevin who booked us. He was out but Lina came over apologized on Rosa Lee's behalf and told her to get a bowl to soak my daughter's nails and give her the manicure as requested. Rosa Lee jumps up and says, "I don't have time because I have another client!" I responded, "Then you should have led with that and we would have waited for another nail tech instead of being rushed." Lina apologized again and asked Audi to do my daughter's nail work. Audi took her time and was kind. I asked Rosa Lee her name and she responded with, "You don't need to know my name." I simply walked away asked Kevin when he returned and I explained what happened. He took $5 off of the $165 that was charged and apologized for the miscommunication. I did let him know there was no miscommunication because Rosa Lee simply dismissed my instructions and questions after being told and asked three times about the manicure. This experience felt hurtful especially since it was for my daughter's prom and her first time going here to get pampered. Again, I have never had issues any other time. The staff are kind and do great work, but I will never do business with Rosa Lee and due to this experience, I'm not sure I will be returning. I had planned to come back with my college student for a pampering session but customer service is a huge factor for me when choosing who I conduct business with. While Lina and the ones who handled my senior well. Rosa Lee caused me to rethink whether or not I will be returning. It is never okay to be dismissive to a customer who kindly ensures they are receiving the service they paid for. And it's absolutely okay to say to allow another person to do the service instead of attempting to make a quick buck especially when there are two other nail technicians who are available and capable. read more

I went on a Monday, mid day, I was the only one in there so everything was super fast. I got a pedicure with callus removal and gel polish, I also got a full set with acrylic powder and eyebrow wax. My total was 140. My pedicure was great, could have done a better job with the callus removal but besides that, great. I was the only one so I'm not sure if tools were gonna be reused or what the situation was with that My full set was great. No complaints at all I believe Rosie did mine. Eyebrows are ok. They are clean by the symmetry could be a lot better. I just have to let them grow out lol read more

Ok, so I had an appointment and there was a 20 minute wait, but there looked to be only two nail techs working when I arrived. I had read reviews online saying there might be a wait, so I made sure to pack my patience. Sat in the spa chair and the water was dumb hotttt! One male nail tech tested it and basically told me to suck it up, it would cool off. In that moment they had officially earned their first strike! I'm happy to report that they didn't earn another strike. Jolie was who I came to see. She was amazing!!! My pedicure was super relaxing and my nails were immaculate. I had zero complaints about either. I'm now a regular...enough said. I almost don't want to write this review, then I may have some fierce appointment competition (jkjk). Pricing was just right! My nail tech, Lina, is also the owner (along with her husband, Kevin). I have followed Lina to/from three salons because I LOVE her work, her professionalism and kindness. I'm so excited that she and Kevin have taken the ownership plunge. They are building this business in excellence, since taking it over. I should've known better when I walked in and there was no one in there! I asked for the price for a gel fill and cut down. I was told $50. When she began she asked how short? I said short as they were fairly long. Instead of having me review the length she just cut them all down to nubs. The primer she used burned like hell! When I told her she turned on a fan but failed to turn it towards me. She asked the shape I wanted. I stated coffin she said we charge 5 extra for that. I said no problem. When she started polishing my nails I told her I didn't like it. She continued to polish saying it looks pretty matches your skin tone. The icing on the cake is when it can time to pay I verified the price she told me $50. I cashed app her the $50. When I showed it to her and her partner she starts talking in another language and says it's 53 (3 dollar cut down). That was never discussed. I really liked this nail salon and had been there four times before. However my mind was completely changed after I came in with my son to get two pedicures. Halfway through the pedicure I am asked if I had an appointment I said no and I was then told that I need to get an appointment next time because customers with appointments won't come back if the staff can't get to them. No problem I understand. If it was a problem then why did they not tell me that when I walked in or asked me if I had an appointment before they started. Then as I am waiting for my toenails to dry the gentleman behind the counter comes up to me with his card and again tells me the same thing. This is unacceptable and rude! This is my first time visiting Expo Nail Bar. The place is actually nice and looks clean. I think it has potential if I had someone else. As you can tell by the pictures, I have cuts on my toes and chipped polish hours after my service today. The man I had was very nice, he was just not very good at performing these services. It was very uncomfortable while he was using his nails to push my toes down to polish them. First, I don't understand the use of a pumice, if you're just going to do a few light passes across my feet. Second, after my color was chosen, the gel was put on my toes by accident instead of the polish. When it was removed with the acetone, the base coat was never reapplied. Moving on to my manicure, after noticing the issues with my nails, I said something and the man that I had kept filing it instead of trying to fix the issue. The issues was the polish, it had nothing to do with the length or shape so why keep filing? I finally just said forget it because he clearly didn't want to fix it and he says "it's ok it looks good". I more than likely will not be returning. read more

horrible. they are bulky. the man doing my nails continued to leave to eat food and come back to half do my nails. they were 65 dollars and not worth it. i went here before and had a bad experience. the nails were uneven and one hand was longer than the other. i decided to give it a second chance and i regret it. do not come here. the man also tried to subtly flirt with my boyfriend while we were on the phone. it was odd and inappropriate. read more

the shop looks nice. the wine is overpriced as expected, so i at least thought my nail tech would be skilled. Nope, instead she showed me nails that she clearly did not do. I went here for the first time yesterday and actually had a great experience. I made an appointment for 3:00pm for a gel pedicure and ombré full set. They were a little behind due to them just reopening after covid19 but no worries because the customer service was excellent. I watched them properly sanitize everything between each customer and made sure we were 6 feet apart. They also offer complimentary drinks and i just love how spacious and beautiful the shop is. Jolie initially did a great job on my dip powder manicure & gel pedicure! However, the powder seems to chip in about two days after after getting the manicure. I cannot seem to find a salon in Waldorf who does my dip powder so it can last for the maximum 2-3 weeks. It is very disappointing. read more

Well the past 2x I went here to get my nails done by Roxana. She did a fabulous job each time. She was nice enough to take me in on the last appt. eventhough it was her day to leave early. So fast forward 3 weeks now later, I call to make an appt. and was told she was on vacation and the person on the phone would do for me. I declined and decided I'd wait another week perhaps she'll be back. So this week I call to make an appt and was hung up on. I called back again thinking it was an accident and was hung up on again. So, i said i would just show up earlier on her day she wrote on her card. I show up and ask for Roxana. A man approaches me and I said I'd like to have Roxana do my nails. The woman behind the desk peers and then stands. She says something to the man that approached me and he went to the back to get someone. She then says I have someone who can do for you. I called to make a appointment with a male tech & they told me yes a male tech will do my pedicure. When I got there They seemed to be lacking in nail techs - so a female did my service. my water was cold. They refilled the water and it was luke warm. The lady that did my pedicure was on FaceTime the whole. I got the callus treatment & she forgot to do so. I had to remind her. I got gel that had to be done twice. This was my first time here and it was very nice!!! Due to the whole COVID 19 situation, they took my temperature immediately upon entering. I had made an appointment and didn't have to wait even 5 minutes before my service started. Jolie was great and my pedicure was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep. I was offered a choice of complimentary drinks and it was a nice touch from most nail salons. Everything was clean and that's a big lis in my book. The only issue (and I do understand somewhat) is that they are only doing gel manicures and pedicures because of the quick dry time. This of course greatly increased the price I was expecting to pay. However, my pedicure felt so amazing (I ended up upgrading) that I didn't mind the extra cost this time. I won't always want a gel pedicure though, so that might be a problem for me going forward.
