Marco and his team did an amazing job with my sofa and dinette chairs, and I would definitely recommend them. I was looking for an upholstery shop to re-upholster a very large sofa that has sentimental value to me. I met with them at their shop and went over the fabric options and discussed the price. The sofa was in storage, so unfortunately, I only had a bad photo for them to base their quote on. I selected fabric for the sofa and chairs and set up a time for them to pick everything up from the storage unit in Shoreline. Once they had the sofa it became clear that the whole thing would need to be re-done including the foam and interior fabrics. This increased the cost quite a bit (I got a bit of sticker shock), but I had known I was taking a chance getting a quote based on only a photo. At each decision point they called to get my consent on how much to repair and the cost. There was clear communication. In the end they essentially rebuilt the entire sofa, and managed to include the scalloped piping edge at the bottom (a feature I loved about the original). They did a wonderful job and I'm very happy with the results. Same for the chairs. Re-upholstery is not cheap, so you have to be committed to the furniture to begin with. Marco and his team did such an amazing job! They were very helpful picking out fabric and taking the time to explain everything. The sofa used to be 'pea-soup green' and the cushions were thin/worn out. They replaced the seat cushions and reinforced the back. And now it's a beautiful thick wool charcoal fabric. I would give Expo an A+ rating and not just because they did a great job on re-upholstering my boat cushions but because I dropped in un-announced yesterday with a minor repair of a couple boat straps and they graciously fixed it while I waited and then didn't charge me anything. I don't think they even remembered that I had been a customer and even though it only took them about 5 minutes it was just a very generous act that you don't see very often in the world today. read more

They did an incredible job reupholstering two framed couch cushions in leather. They even went as far as completely matching the previous stitch pattern, you can't tell that they have been redone. Price was also very good for a leather job. read more

I recommend Expo Upholstery. I contacted them in March 2014 regarding reupholstery for a chair I inherited from my grandmother. So there was a sentimental value there but I just couldn't have baby blue velvet in my living room any longer. After some emails back and forth I went to their showroom to look through fabric samples. They have a ton! I eventually decided on one and got a more detailed quote on the project. They agreed to pick up and deliver the chair (I live in Queen Anne) for a small fee. They recovered the chair and stained the legs darker. I have now had it for two months and I still love it. Marco did a great job. All of the people I spoke with were friendly and helpful. Their prices were very competitive (I got about 6 quotes in the Seattle area). I will definitely use them again. The only ding is that it took about a week longer than they originally told me (and I had to follow up with them rather than them calling me), but honestly, if you've ever had projects such as this done, you kind of plan for them to take longer than originally discussed. read more
