Once they get your money, they become impossible to reach--rarely answering phone calls, completely ignoring emails, and only contacting you when they want more money. They never keep their promised deadlines, constantly lying about when they will follow up, and then never do. I hired them for a kitchen and bathroom renovation, and it was an absolute nightmare. They got the vanity size completely wrong, and when I tried to return it, instead of fixing the issue properly, they just hacked it up, making it even worse. None of my ordered items arrived on time; everything was delivered on separate days, and one item was even sent to the wrong address due to their mistake. Did they apologize? Of course not. When I reached out via email, they ignored me, yet when it was time to collect payment, they became aggressive, threatening to sue me and ruin my credit score if I didn't send the money immediately. This business has zero integrity, zero accountability, and it's shocking that they are still operating. Please, do yourself a favor and stay far away from them. That said, if you are doing any bathroom remodeling talk to Samantha and choose this business. Samantha was able to recommend quality items from a variety of vendors AND get them quickly. At a time when getting anything for remodeling a home is tough, Express Brooklyn Tile had everything we needed within a week. We have a great looking vanity, sinks, and toilet. This place gets really busy and you will need to call and follow up on your order. Samantha was good with email responses with me. I purchased tile from Express Tile in years passed and everything was fine. This summer I bought wall tile for my bathroom remodel and it came with black paint along the edges. It took them one month to come pick up the damaged tiles and still after 2 more months I have not received a refund. This is the absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have EVER experienced!! Their excuse for not providing the refund several weeks ago was they didn't have a record of how many boxes were returned (because their driver didnt take not of it) and so they just sat until I contacted them. We purchased our kitchen from express tile a few years ago and we're satisfied with what we got for the price. One of the soft close draws went bad and the track needs replacing. I called express tile to get information on a replacement. I was not looking for anything other than a lead as to where I could obtain a replacement draw mechanism. I was told to send a picture via email which I did, no response. I called 4 additional times and was told I would get a return call, no response. This place is a joke. You walk in, the owner Tina will try to fake smile and ignore you at the same time. Then finally when she realizes you are actually here to buy something? Thats when she'll give you her time. When she does give her time, shes rushing you to make a decision. And the husband, mustafa is a grumpy man who does not know what anything is anywhere Now after the order is placed: They know they locked you in with a deposit. They send delivery with half the items missing. You call and call, they give you run around. We made several trips to pick up material, which were supposed to be delivered. The girl who's a "sales rep" lies about what we selected. "This is what you guys picked"..: i am sorry lady, THATS NOT what we picked. When we drive all the way there to pick up missing material, it is still "not in"... so why tell us it'll be in and make us drive all the way there? Frustration is not even the word to use here. So after multiple phone calls and visits to their store: I walk in and ask Tina to give me an answer why I've been given the run around. She has the nerve to tell me, "you didn't chose THIS ITEM so we were waiting on a decision from you" .... wait, what??? So the initial day i walked in, i must have forgot to select the main item and paid for all and walked out huh??? She was trying to play the blame game in front of her other clients. I directly told her, this is wrong and this is not how to deal with customers. She added "this is what i get for doing a favor". I was just shocked right there!! A month has passed we are still dealing with stuff that is missing and not matching items. I just need to get this kitchen and bath chapter over with and never deal with these folks ever again. The WORST. I was looking for bathroom and kitchen tile while renovating our home. They made me jump through hoops just to make the order, call them, text them, send a picture, follow up calls, then when I came into the store to make the order after they confirmed the item was in stock they say "ooops it's not in stock, you'll have to pay $50 for express shipping." Even before all this I mentioned I may want to go to a specific brand's showroom and they told me "no, customers can't buy directly, only stores". Being fed up with them, I called the tile company directly and of course I could purchase with them directly, and at 30% less than the store was charging me too! The cabinets that Express Tile is selling under the name fabuwood is cheap and the quality is horrible. After a second shipment of the cabinets because the paint was scratched and peeling, the product is still awful. My experience here was very dissappointing. I took the train to this place - I brought with me a tile I liked but is no longer available to show them what I was looking for, or thereabouts. This is for a small apartment building. I need 3,000 tiles. Walked into the place and NO one acknowledged me - Walked over to the register area where a gentleman was helping someone who clearly appeared to have ordered from them or was looking to order ... I waited behind this woman for the man to acknowledge me, NOPE ... he actually finished with her and walked away. Since I did spend the time on the train to get to this place, I took a deep breath and decided to walk around the store and see what tiles they had on display. It's not a terribly big store so I was finished pretty quickly - like under 5 minutes and several people who work there just simply walked right by me, never asking if I needed any help. I went back to the register area and now no one was there at all. I just walked out. I can't stand lousy customer service - I went over to a place on McDonald Ave where I got great customer service and placed an order for 3,000 tiles and a great price of .68/per tile. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Like other customers, we were scammed. We placed an order for specific items and paid for everything including a delivery fee. When time comes for items to arrive, we are missing essential pieces and also received some wrong items. Multiple trips were made to pick up items that we placed an order for that we PAID A DELIVERY FEE FOR. This last trip that we made, the woman had an attitude that does not serve her business well. We have now ended up paying more for items that we thought we had already paid for, only to find out recently that we paid for a ceramic backsplash versus marble when all along we thought we paid for marble. They are leeches and I do not recommend coming here unless you want the frustration and the waste of money. Seriously, avoid if you can. read more

A constant disappointment. Ahmet is great, friendly and knowledgeable. The heavy set brunette with the glasses is completely incompitant, incapable and unreliable. I was given broken tiles that I paid $24/sqft and didn't notice until i got home. I called immediately and explained that the tiles were broken and could not be used. This idiot told me that it was my fault that I did not notice, that it came like that (while the men offloading the tiles were throwing them one on top of the other),and that the reason I pay for overage is to account for broken tiles and that she would not take them back! ‍ such an idiot! After 20 min of back and forth with this girl, I told her to have the manager ready because I would be arriving with the tiles shortly and expect them to be exchanged. When I arrived, she threw me dirty looks and said "your the one that called, right" and Ahmet took the tile immediately and said that he would exchange them! Easy and no fuss! Going forward, I will not be dealing with any other incompetent idiot and only Ahmet. I can not believe they treat customers so poorly. read more

Several reasons why they get 1 star: (1)Gave measurements for wall tiles,floor tiles, and border to the owner (Tina) and she told me I needed an X amount of boxes. She also, said what I don't use I can bring back. When I went back to the store to return 4 boxes she said to me not able to return because they were a specail order. (2)The charge for delivery and have no idea why. The delivery was suppose to be at my house at 10:00 and and showed up at 4:00 pm. I called the store and the owner's husband told me the delivery should be there at 10:00am. There was no show. Called the store again at 11:30 and the husband gave me the delivery guy's number which I called right away, and the delivery person tells me that he will be at my house in 1 hour. Now its 12:30pm no delivery. I called the delivery person several times didn't answer the phone shows up at 4:00. VERY RUDE (3)Finally, when the delivery person came and dropped off the tiles, supplies, etc. There was no apology and there was a box missing. You would think since he put the stuff in his van he would say something to me that there is a box missing or the owner would give a courtesy call and tell me. I will never use them again! Amazing selection of tiles, counter tops, bathroom and kitchen hardware and cabinets and prices are MUCH better than HD and Lowes. I was renovating a kitchen and initially I went to Home Depot. That was a huge mistake that cost me a month of waiting and tons of aggravation. My friend recommended Express Brooklyn Tile and I decided to give it a try. I got a better price (actually, much better price, especially for the counter top), personal customer service and a good feeling of supporting a small local business. They designed my kitchen layout better than HD specialist did - i got more space and less fillers, great color coordination and absolutely beautiful granite counter top. never wrote a review, so here is my first one. I am remodeling the entire first floor of my house (everything) We shopped around for tiles for weeks on end. My wife and I settled on a tile that we saw at "Family Tile" in Staten Island (stay away, very expensive and unprofessional) but they wanted 8 dollars a square foot. I needed 1200 Sqf and the best they could do is 7.50. I remembered some friends of mine used Express tile on 4th ave and checked them out. They had the same tile on the same display board for 4.25 sqf. a savings of $4200.00. I bought a lot more stuff and got free delivery to Staten Island, on the day they said at the time they said. She was very pleasant over the phone and explained that they don't usually treat missed orders haphazardly. I would consider working with Tina directly on future projects. *** Express Brooklyn Tile LLC deserves no stars or stars in the negative if the rating is an option. It should be blacklisted as a vendor in construction. I'm an Interior Designer who often deals with architectural material vendors. I've never dealt with such careless, dishonest and shady business as this store. They insist on cash payment in order to avoid paying taxes and change payment options at-will. In construction, time is money. Not only was my order delayed multiple times with no prior notice, the store missed items on my order list and then proceed to delivered the wrong specs to my job site that were of poor quality. My own contractor had to make multiple trips to the tile store to pick-up materials when I had paid for delivery. Upon contacting the sales associate, it took 10+ follow-ups on my part only to get the response that I can "receive a discount on the correct replacement tiles". They then had the audacity to ask me to pick up the tiles from their warehouse. To this minute they have yet to take responsibility for their mistakes. There are many more better options in Flushing. I wanted to support this local business in Brooklyn, unfortunately, this decision's come back to cost me a lot more time, money and labor. We are so happy we tried Express Tile. We had been to several other tile and big box stores, but we were unable to find tile in a wood plank style that met our vision for our basement remodel. Neville was patient and a big help. He worked with us to review the the many tile options available, despite hearing the "no, that's not it" repeatedly. We were so happy to find a perfect light cherry tile at a great price. Our new tile floor is beautiful. Express took care of all our needs (tile, grout, quick delivery). While I was not a customer, I had a terrible experience with Express Brooklyn Tile. A few weeks ago, one of the company's drivers lurched out onto a road I was driving on and forced me to swerve on my Vespa to avoid hitting him. My Vespa was badly damaged, and my leg was injured. The driver, who initially did not get out of his van and was not carrying his driver's license at the time of the incident, told me I could contact his company. I visited the store and spoke with an employee, who assured me that the company owner would contact me soon after. He didn't, so I had to call and demand to speak to him. He was extremely dismissive and called my claim "bullshit." He said that because his driver did not hit me (again, had I not swerved out of the road and crashed my scooter, he would have hit me), he was not remotely responsible. This is not a business I would recommend associating with or spending my money at. read more

Talk about stressful life events like moving, finals week at university or losing a job, but those pale in comparison to renovating your home especially the kitchen and bathroom. It helps if you have an experienced professional help you through the process. Unfortunately, I live in apt bldg and ended up hiring my super for the project. My super is a nice guy and expert in carpentry, plumbing and tiling. However, he lacks creativity in term of style. At Brooklyn Express, I met a kitchen design angel named Tina who helps me design a kitchen maximizing storage, making suggestions to lower the costs, and spent lots of time going over the concerns/changes I wanted to make. Throughout the whole process she was positive and full of ideas and able to offer discount where possible for bulk orders. Because of this experience, I ordered my bathroom tiles and granite counter top from here. Also price wise, this store was very competitive and their tile selection is extensive. For 14 kitchen cabinets, I paid about $240 a cabinet including assembly, curbside/tailgate delivery and tax. The store hours are from 8am-7pm 7 days a week. There are some caveats that I learned: 1) triple check your invoice to make sure everything you want is on it and included in the quoted price, AND 2) you and your contractor must be there for curbside delivery to bring it into your place and check that everything you ordered is accounted for. After shopping around in Brooklyn, I am happy with the kitchen design, the quality of the materials and the price. read more
