I contacted this firm to assist me with guardianship of my two minor grandchildren. I filled out a…read morevery detailed intake form and was told there would be a consultation fee of $200 for a thirty-minute consultation. Even though their website says they have a free 15-minute consultation. During the consultation I was told by the attorney that this was exactly the type of case they have been representing for over twenty years. Thirty minutes I received the following text: Good morning! After further consideration, it doesn't appear that our firm would be the best fit for your needs at this time. We won't be able to move forward with representation, but we wish you the best. In a later text I requested the $200 fee be returned and I received the following response in part: As mentioned twice yesterday the consultation would allow us to determine if this case is a good fit for us. The attorney did meet with you and discuss your matter for 17 minutes. Our shortest consultation option is 30 minutes, so the consultation fee still applies. I would strongly recommend you do not waste your time or money with this firm.
